Night Of 100 Frights is good but the platforming is too precise for its quality and ends up being very frustrating at times, screw the fish factory levels
I still own this game for Gamecube. Idk why I loved it so much but I went out of my way to find it in game stores years after renting it from Blockbuster.
Voting for the Monster House game. From what I remember, it felt like an RE4 imitator for kids, and also had a playable fictitious 8-bit arcade game called Thou Art Dead that was kind of like Ghosts and Goblins.
Vote for next time: Scooby-Doo! I LOVED that game as a kid and actually still go back to it sometimes now, it's so fun! Naff camera angles but the gameplay and mechanics were great! On to this video though: The first time I played this Spongebob game, I genuinely enjoyed it and had a lot of fun buuuut... looking back on it, yeah it hasn't aged well at all and was pretty janky. I had frustrations with it but I enjoyed it too much to really care? Idk, child me liked pretty colours in games and running around collecting shiny things.
Same! I loved that game so much, and find myself replaying it every so often. I remember I liked it because of how it felt like an episode of one of the older Scooby series, with the awesome sound track, villain selection and artstyle.
Ahhhhh, Revenge of the Flying Dutchman. For years I had fragmented memories of this game. From racing Squidward and letting him win to the fever dream puzzles. The early PS2 days were cursed af.
Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights is unironically one of my favourite PS2 games. Got it on an emulator last year and had a blast playing through it again.
Fun fact. My parents gave me a PS2 for Christmas in 2002 and this was the first game I got. I was four years old and being a SpongeBob fan I loved this game. I knew it was bad but I still played it. At 22 I still play it, I know it is subpar but it's just one of those games that just stick with you, nostalgic and sometimes annoying. I have some fond memories playing this game with my older sisters who now live in separate countries. When I want to go back, I sit back and play this game once more to go back to those simpler times without a worry in the world. Wish I could go back and experience it for the first time.
Same with my sister, although she was 6 not 4. We still enjoy it even though it's not really the best game, but certainly not a "terrible game that killed the company" since most people think that's the story. I wonder how many other kids got a Ps2 and this game that year, lol.
I honestly love this game. Sure it's not super good, but it was one of my favorites that I am very nostalgic for. I'm kinda nostalgic for all the Spongebob gamecube titles
“Oh god, why does SpongeBob’s body twist like that?! They didn’t give him many bones I think.” Well he is a sea sponge. They don’t even have a vertebrae, just an internal skeleton of spongin.
11:12 I don't know about stealing eachother's deliveries but I do recall visiting McDonalds once and there were Just Eat/Deliveroo drivers who looked like they were contemplating murder just to pick up their orders first.
I loved this game, it will always have a special place in my heart because it was the first game I ever finished. But this was a rough watch lmao, I kinda hope they remaster it tbh
Scooby Doo! Also, please make a series out of the Barnyard game and the hopefully upcoming Scooby game! Those two games are big nostalgia trippers and I can garuntee you'd get a good amount of views and likes.
I once played through this game for five and a half hours in a row, and I walked away from the experience feeling like my brain was coated in cement. This was two years ago.
I remember for some reason as a kid, This game didnt work on my ps2 slim so i had to go to my friend who had the big ps2 to even play this. As soon as i walked outside the game crashed
Before I saw the option for 6:36 I was about to recommend you guys playing monster house for halloween but since I saw scooby doo night of 100 frights being the other option, I most definitely pick scooby doo. Love your content guys, keep it up! You guys are my favorite youtubers!
I replayed this a few years ago and the copy I got had a glitch where nearly everytime I left the map to another it would undo any objective I cleared in the map I left. This would happen at random and i was just lucky enough to save and replay portions without it becoming impossible but it sure was irritating AF.
I remember just getting to the level where your in downtown bikini bottom delivering pizzas and I was too young to really understand the objective and never got past it haha
I forgot the show moments where stupid patrick pretends to be a ostentatious little yuppy know-it-all and make SpongeBobs life harder for absolutely no reason.
Oooh my vote is definitely for Monster House! I remember renting that game from Blockbuster (RIP) and playing only 5 minutes before asking my dad to take it back 😂
I played this game SO much as a kid...something about it is so weirdly mesmerizing. Just wait until you get to the Goo Lagoon area with the pants-stripping, murderous lifeguards. Oh, and I'd love to see Monster House personally
i used to be obsessed with that game as a kid, even though it only had english audio and writing - and i was just a young german child who only understood basic english words. i basically played the thing while barely understanding anything that it told me to do
Same here. I got confused thinking I had to find an actual bird nest for the objective where you have to go to the crow's nest because I was a dumb kid and knew nothing about ships. The game is even harder when English is not your first language 😂
I think Patrick's back flap is from the episode where they keep waking Sandy up while she's hibernating and at one point Spongebob says they shouldn't disturb her so Patrick goes "That's not disturbing. This is disturbing" and makes his back "talk."
it was one of the first console game i ever played, alongside godhand and basara 2. but weirdly enough any memory i got with this game is like depressing dream with that game over music in that delivery mission
Fun Fact: The game was Big Sky's last game before getting blacklisted from THQ and eventually shutting down after running out of money
Just like Mr. Krabs.
Blacklisted?
@@BestBird_1 basically companies avoiding someone or something
@@therewasnoattempt8373 I'm asking why they blacklisted them
@@BestBird_1 because Jeff Lapin (someone from THQ) was mad that Big Sky refused to be bought by them
Night of 100 Frights was all I played for 2 months straight when I got a PS2, I still remember Tim Curry's narration
Night of of 1000 Frights was made by the same people who made Battle for Bikini Bottom and there's info from that game in the files of BBB.
Same bro!
It’s the best Scooby Doo game ever.
Night Of 100 Frights is good but the platforming is too precise for its quality and ends up being very frustrating at times, screw the fish factory levels
A very high quality Scooby game!
Fun Fact: This game only has 8 tracks. You’ll be hearing one of them for a good chunk of the game….
“Only 8”😂 that seems like a lot
That’s a lot of soundtracks, considering most games only have one. ;)
*tracks
Other games: having thousands of songs
Spongebob revenge of the Flying Dutchman: 8 songs, take it or leave it
Funnily enough, the GBA version has nearly twice as many tracks as the console version.
Gotta give this game some credit: they got Clancy Brown to voice Mr. Krabs unlike most Spongebob games
For BFBB he was busy recording lines for Jak 3
He did the old ones back in the day
@@ABG. Who was he playing in Jak 3? I only remember him as Mayor Praxis in Jak 2.

Its an amazing game for sure. My first ps2 game
They already did a scooby doo video on this channel. For mystery mayhem I think it was?

@@TateS26 It was one of my first as well. Man, I was addicted to it back in the day.
@@BrennySpain Yeah but Night of 100 Frights is INFINITELY better, imo. I thought Mystery Mayhem was the worst Scooby-Doo game of the PS2 era anyway.
Ahhhhh, Revenge of the Flying Dutchman. For years I had fragmented memories of this game. From racing Squidward and letting him win to the fever dream puzzles. The early PS2 days were cursed af.
i was literally thinking the same thing as i was watching, although the entire game was a fever dream in my opinion haha
I guess you could say that this game is my guilty pleasure then lol...
I ain’t letting Squidward win.

@@KegOfMeat no I meant scarred, as in getting scarred

"You said goodbye to Squidward twice" "I like Squidward".
Also, Monster House
1:15 Someone needs to screenshot that and turn it into a meme.
I wish there was more footage in these videos than just the first 30 minutes of each game compressed into 10 minutes.
Scooby Doo was my childhood. I went back and finally finished it last year. I'd love to see it next time

Oh Please do Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights! I remember that game being one of the best Scooby doo games and has one of the best soundtracks 👍🏻
But let's agree hearing that getting chased by the flying ducthman while he's crashing into the pier while the jelly fish theme song plays

50 shades of jellyfish, the banned episode of spongebob squarepants

I feel like Monster House already has some…interesting graphics, imagine what the game looks like
Gary reciting the opening to “Dogma” will now live rent free in my head forever
I vote for Scooby Doo: Night of 100 Frights, was a huge childhood favorite of mine
"we didnt give him many bones"
GOSH I WONDER WHY
I’m in my 30s now and literally just realized Gary is a land snail. Mind blown
He's actually supposed to be a common periwinkle, a sea snail :)
You cannot get things right on the first try. SpongeBob’s video game career is an example of that.
Scooby doo for sure, I remember having that game as a kid
Man, this Spongebob game is honestly kinda nostalgic in my opinion.
“Why is everybody like the worst in Bikini Bottom?” So we entered underwater New Jersey.

Scooby doo night of the 100 frights was legendary
1:45 *I HAVE TO PUT YOU DOWN GARY*
Fun Fact: The PS2 version of this game is the most broken out off all platforms, mainly with crashing
Monster house was a nightmare. I don’t want to have worse nightmares from the video game. But it’s Halloween… I want those nightmares
Monster house looks fun, I want to see how they somehow got gameplay out of that premise
Why do i have deep, vivid memories of this game’s dialogue??? Was it replayable? I remember enjoying it as a kid but its been a long time
I once played through this game for five and a half hours in a row, and I walked away from the experience feeling like my brain was coated in cement.

Honestly Squidward just sauntering his way through a ‘race’ was hilarious 😆
"Aged like milk" implies it was ever good to begin with, which this game wasn't. This game was always bad.
I'm so mixed on this game, sometimes it's genuinely fun others times it's boring and or lacks polish.
Fun fact: I also got my first console Christmas 2003, a PS2 with SpongeBob Revenge of the Flying Dutchman and Scooby Doo: Night of 100 frights
I feel like Scooby-Doo would be the Better Pick, compared to Monster House

As George Takei once famously said: "Because I'm mentally ill." I would really appreciate a scooby doo game episode.
Night of 100 Frights! That game was my all time favorite for at least a year straight, easily one of the best Scooby-Doo games ever!
Mind Pulp, thanks, I needed this today.
