Sometimes i think you've got some kind of telepathic skills. Everytime i do some research on different topics a Retrocrisis vid with exactly the same topic appears. Scary good!
I usually prefer using native res with a good crt shader. Not a big fan of super clean lines matched with blurry textures. It works all right in some games though. Like outrun here is moving fast and the cars a flat coloured instead of textured, which helps, but the UI looks super chonky with the upres
One Crucial requirements is missing from the video itself and it's not even written in video description. You need CPU with AVX2 to be able to do any of these. In other words, Core i7 4770 or newer Core i7 3770K won't be able to do this
you can simply use crt scan lines filter and all the jaggies are gone, because upscale resolution will makes the game perform slower especially on "potato pc" / low end laptop.
@@b1uscreen I love shaderglass but it's pretty limited especially for stacking effects, reshade would probably be the better option here if you want to add a little extra CRT feel. Would probably look really nice added on top of these super clean textures.
I'll always click on a video with Outrun on it. I love Coast 2 Coast and I've always wanted to play it again, wish they could remaster those games for modern consoles.
You should also need to mention that not all 100% of the games library would have this result. Lots of games still bugs/glitched out when using hardware renderer, so software renderer still pretty much needed (which limits you with native ps2 resolution and very basic graphic settings).
Wait, why would you use Bilinear Sharp at 4K? Bilinear Sharp is for when you want to see the pixels at the native resolution, at 4K seeing the pixels is impossible.
Nearest neighbor is to see the pixels. Bilinear smooths the entire image giving it a slight Vaseline smear look. With bilinear sharp, it smooths out pixel stacking without making the image blurry
how do organize your emulation folder ? especialy for emulators for example pcsx2 and ppsspp do you install then on default location or do you install them on custom folder?
BU-T, BU-BU-BU-T, that's not how the artist intended! Oh, shut up... That and some Reshade anti-aliasing do wonders. People picky about the UI can use a CRT 480p filter as a last pass for close to perfection.
Try this if you'd like to SHADERS to PCSX2 - ua-cam.com/video/A5Dy3nj7dMc/v-deo.html
Hey you know what you should do? Reshare presets for Xbox , GameCube and PS2.
Better then ps5 pro presentation, at least we can really notice a difference here and it does not cost 800 euros! 😆
🤣🤣🤣 I’ll accept the 800 euros as payment 😝
My favorite new setting BY FAR is "force 32-bit" for Dithering! It makes the game look even better!
Ah awesome I’ll try that out!
@@RetroCrisis Think of it basically like "True color" setting for Duckstation. Gets rid of dithering and color banding.
@@MohammadDoesIRL oh wow I wish I’d know about that before!! That sounds great 😍
I was about to say this

I have your room bugged so I can read all your inner thoughts! 😝 let me know what you’re researching next and I’ll try to make a video if I can help.

I would love to use a shader for ps2 games, but I’m not sure PCSX2 supports them
@@RetroCrisis You can use Reshade. It has some Retroarch shaders.
@@RetroCrisis Use Reshade with CRT filters, such as CyberLab ReShade Death To Pixels Shader Preset.
@@RetroCrisis it has one shader under graphics called crt lotte
can you tell me more about how to do it, and what filter to use, where is it? What settings do you use CRT shader with?

Thanks so much for the video, I'll have to try this on my computer, the graphics on the PS2 look fantastic 👍😍

Short and to the point, Thanks! :)
PCSX2 has the filters option, and i wish we could put your retroarch shaders in here and use them.
I wish PCSX2 was in RetroArch so we could use proper shaders
What about ShaderGlass? I used it while watching this video. It would be nice if more custom shaders from RetroArch were available in ShaderGlass.
@@b1uscreen I love shaderglass but it's pretty limited especially for stacking effects, reshade would probably be the better option here if you want to add a little extra CRT feel. Would probably look really nice added on top of these super clean textures.
Reshade CRT-Royale with the scanline width manually adjusted by eye to line up with the rendered pixels is the way I roll
I'm about to play some mad PS2 games now.
Well done!!! NFL Street looks so good now 😂
you're a life saver! thank you!

I've only tested it on Ridge Racer V but turning off mipmapping greatly extends the distance at which road textures appear.

When i up the internal resolution i get vertical lines that splits the screen on dynasty warriors 5 do you happen to know a solution?
Tick ‘integer scaling’ on the graphics menu
Would you ever consider making a crt shader for old consoles such as ps2, gamecube etc

This would be epic on the odin2
