Tonali played the 6 role against Chelsea and was man of the match, then gets taken out. People keep saying Eddie Howe will do this and do that why? He hasnt so far same formation since he joined, substitutions around the same time .Sticking with the likes of Longstaff etc...over more capable players. Called a tactical genius for putting J7 into midfield when it was a sending off that made him force the change. Howe will never change.
howe out we need a manager that isnt afraid of selling players to improve the squad and that change tacts and formation to suit the game we are playing imo and tonali came in when Aall but 2 players had given up so cant blame him
Howe doesn’t know how to make Tonali work in the side because he’s drawn to the ball in the same way Bruno is but he isn’t as good as Bruno, so all Howe’s doing if he plays them both is detracting from Bruno’s game. It doesn't matter who plays 8 and who plays as the 6. This is 100% on Howe. £95m on Tonali & Barnes. He’s had 18months with them and both look like they were signed with absolutely no vision of how they fit the team & how they progress us. Feels like they were only signed because they were good players who were available. We needed creativity in the side and we had the CL pull and money available to go get a game changing creative midfielder. We were in for Maddison, Szoboszlai & Barella so obviously our recruitment dept felt the same, and out of nowhere we diverted to Howe’s “no.1 target” who was playing in a double pivot at Milan when Bruno is always gonna be our single pivot. He's paying for terrible transfer decisions, as he did at Bournemouth.
@@kennyw218 He's nowhere near as good as Bruno. Bruno's one of the most press-resistant footballers in the world and is much better with the ball. Tonali's played 24 games, and that's a misleading stat because Howe's had a full year to work with him on the grass. He's looked worthy of £55m in 2 of those 24 games, his debut and Chelsea's b-team where he played as the pivot
@ well his ban called for him not to train with the first team. If he’s crap why did a c Milan fans give him a standing ovation when we played them and he’s world class for Italy
Our transfer policy has been a shambles.. Tonali and Barnes springs to mind.. we've been crying out for a RW and ST for seasons now.. Mitchell was correct with his assessment. I'm gutted I've not seen much of Tonali so far this season. I'd play 4-2-3-1
As for Tonali not playing well when he came on give the lad a chance he came on the system was changed to 4-4-2 he was in midfield with Lewis hall Barnes on the left and Murphy’s on the right come on lads
You just said Joe willock bring in quality are you kidding he a headless chicken just run with no idea he came supposedly injured but he wanted drag off anyway
Let’s face it we have overloaded the left hand side of this squad and neglected the right hand side. Maybe our transfer strategy was not fit for purpose 🤷🏻♂️. I think we would have beaten West Ham if Burn had been in the team, I think we all underestimate how important Burns presence is to the starting 11. I am not a Tonali fan boy, he has done nothing of note for us this season and don’t think he deserves to be in the team.
Watch Tonali for Italy, there’s a reason he’s loved by the Italians, he’s world class, Bruno is a good player but not the level of Sandro who is more direct, quicker and is always looking for the forward pass
If Howe doesn’t start figuring this stuff out quickly then opinion will turn. He’s with the players pretty much everyday on the training ground and this smacks of incompetence. Questions rightly need to be asked about the tactical set up and why when we come up against low block teams we just don’t have a clue on how to break other teams down? I love Eddie and what he has done for us but I am starting to lose patience and the 2nd half on Monday was a huge concern
I've run out of faith in howe and i suspect the PIF are getting there too. We are absolutely crap at breaking down teams and the best player we have to help do that can't get in the team. Money completely wasted
I think theres an argument that says we can play two 6's (Tonali and Bruno) and rather than an out and out 8 you could try with an attacking 3 behind Isak, revert to the inverted triangle if we need to.
Would Longstaff get a game for Italy ... Not a hope! So the Italian golden boy, captain elect can't get a game for us is an absolute joke! Howe must go, his in game management is zero. Bruno spoils Tonali ....
loved the presser when eddie got stumped by dom’s stat haha… I don’t really make much of it as its just 7 games but dom definitely got eddie scrambling for a bit!
Absolute joke Tonali can’t get into team I still believe he was bought because they thought Bruno was going and he was the replacement but this will be to the detriment of the manager how can a Italian international play so well for the national team and on the bench for Newcastle joke

Very rarely do you hear any worthwhile questions being asked in these presser's

That is a fair assessment mate. I do believe Barnes will leave in the summer
@@robferriday9945how’s it a fair assessment of Tonali ? When he’s only had 18 games and he’s way better then Bruno

Good Qs this morning J & D. Came across no mic problems from you Dom, but mostly others were hard as nails to hear!
This pod class 🙂

Willock's level is Crystal Palace. Will he have good moments? Of course. But his moments don't add up to something greater.
Play Bruno at the 8 and Tonali the 6 ffs. Joelinton and Willock can be on the left together with Gordon on the right wing
Eddie 'but that means I can't play Sean' 😢
Great! Who’s the 6? Because Tonali certainly isn’t a 6.
@@georgemorley1029 he played there earlier this season and it worked well
@@JettplayzgamesWhich game?
8's and 6's are generally centrally positioned, one further forward, one a bit behind. Rightly or wrongly, Eddie plays 3 across midfield.
Comparing Joe Willock and Sandro Tonali is comparing an average player with a world class player.
I wouldn’t say Tonali was average

Howe doesn’t get the best out of Tonali OR Isak .. this far into his tenure he hasn’t worked out how to get his best players into their best positions
Totally agree
Tonali would be my first name on the team sheet.
That Bruno stat is a WOW stat and surely says…play the man😂

Our midfielders are to slow we need players with pace
3:52 Now who did that again…?
What is NUFC - I don't know what they are as a team. Most teams have an identity, we don't as far as I can see.
So, its a battle, sounds like a chronicle rant.
Don't go down to their standards....not your style.
Keep up the good work....again
tonali cm and bruno rcm problem fixed
Course he’s cracking palace away Liverpool home then Brentford away where do we see any points?
Harsh on Kelly, the whole team were poor, he made no more bad decisions than any other player imo
