Love your videos. I have already made toys for my grandkids, from your videos based on David Wakefield's book. Now I can make the back scratcher my wife requested for her birthday. Keep up the great work!
Glad that you are enjoying the show Jeff. There are well over 800 episodes on the channel so there is bound to be something that will interest everyone. Not all the shows are good but they were valid at the time. Thanks for tuning in and good luck on your project.
Nice project kenny, nothing lame about getting a young one in the shop showing them the self gratification of making something instead of buying. Looking forward to next week.
Thanks for the kind words Chad. I agree. Start the children in the shop instead of on the electronics and create another generation that appreciates the value of hard work to obtain a goal instead of a handout with no satisfaction. I think the new generation of children has been altered in a bad way since wood shop classes have been taken out of the school programs. Sad really.
Thanks for the kind words on the show. We need to get the children into the shop so that our great hobby can continue for years to come through the generations. Thanks for tuning in and for taking the time to leave me a comment.
Nice little Project that Ken, my back Scratcher is the best of the lot and I have even named her, she's called Tracey ha ha. Seriously though i have a back Scratcher which I use when i have an itch or two or when i'm Resting and can't reach that spot, it's an extended one and its great, perfect for me when i'm Resting and getting that itch that i can't reach. These ones like you said would be great prezzies off the kids, these would also be great to use especially while Resting after a long day as well. TC, my Friend and as usual Regards to the Family, Barry (Eng)
Thanks for the kind words on the show Barry. I was a little apprehensive about posting this project as it is a little lame but them I thought, a lame show is better than no show. Thanks for tuning in once again sir. Always great to hear from you.
Way to go Kenny, now you are on my level. haha Over the years I have made a few back scratchers but none are as good as the door post. And, unless you live in a round house, you have plenty of them. Great idea for the kids and a great video also. God Bless my friend.
Thanks for the kind words on the show Jim. I may just have to look into that lathe back scratcher thing. Might be another idea for a future show. Thanks for tuning in and taking the time to chime in with your suggestion. I truly appreciate it.
Ken, as usual you have come up yet another interesting project. I will have to see if I can get one of my grandkids interested in trying to make one. Nice way to use up scrap hardwood...wait, is there such a thing as scrap hardwood? Your friend, Paul / paulsmessyworkshop
No such thing as scrap hardwood......just pieces of wood that folks aren't sure what the heck to do with Paul. I think they can send all their scrap hardwoods to you and I and we can split them among ourselves. LOL. Thanks for tuning in sir. Good to hear from you.
I can honestly say that I haven't thought about that. I have thought about a boomerang sleeping aid though and that is about what it would be if I were the one throwing and attempting to catch a boomerang. LOL. Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words.
Tim, you wouldn’t do what you suggested because you’d be bandsawing over a void (caused by the finger part of the scratcher). Not super safe, and the wood can vibrate uncontrollably. It’s way safer to have the flat face down against the table of the saw.

Ken great video - thumbs up
have you ever thought of using /making a boomarang for a back scratcher ;-)

Kenny why not just redraw your profile of your handle on the other side, instead of taping back on the cut off piece? 7:14-8:40
