The Dakar 1 E36 M3 is complete. No suspension, no wheels, just trying to take everything in its OEM form and make it look as good as possible within the realm of detailing. I have been looking at it for awhile so drastic change was never in mind but when I pulled it outside for the first time at the end of this video I could tell just how far the car had come. Very very hyped. In this video the assembly gets finished, followed by some final detailing steps, a ceramic coating on the paint work and a trim restoration product on the mouldings to make them look like they are as close to knew as possible. I think it all came together.
Thank you guys for the support and I hope you enjoy the new release. Much love!

The music, the location, the guy behind the camera, the car, the paint job, the new merch, what do you expect, this video is a masterpiece!
Keep it up Chromatic
I really appreciate that man! Thank you. Hope you have a great weekend 😊
This is not the typical scenario where the car looks better on camera, I know for certain that the car looks so much better in person. Well done!!
Haha it really does man. I was very surprised the first time I brought it outside. Thanks for watching!
This is my first memory of a M3, and I have since then wanted one.
Heck yeah. The future is yours my friend 🤝
This cars worth 100 grand now. Your work is amazing bruv
Thank you bro! Hope you had a great weekend 😊
This has got to be the best, most ambitious, project you guys ever did...... amazing!
Thank you brothaa! Hope you are doing awesome 🤝
After watching this e36 being detailed the whole way through, I must say Dakar yellow and techno violet are the best colours for the e36 m3, especially the Dakar yellow, it looks so serene
I completely agree with this statement. Doesn’t get much better then yellow and purple ☺️
The attention to detail and the fit and finish on this one is unmatched! Amazing work, as always!
I agree!
Thanks man! Glad it came together so well 😊
@@ChromaticGarage I guess it’s a good thing you like BMWs. If you were an Audi enthusiast, you’d have nothing to fix 😝😝😝
Now *that's* a clean E36. I swear I can smell a Y49 CRX just by looking at that sweet, pale Dakar yellow. One of my all time favorite car colors that not just any car can rock.
Hahahab I agree man! Very few body lines can take on this particular hue. Thanks for watching!
A truly beautiful car!! That E36 front gives of a careless, calm, and so absolutely bossy looking vibe.
I agree! Absolutely love it!
Placed my order for the 'I WASH MY CAR TEE'. I'll be repping the Chromatic merch at all the car meets across England. 💂♂
You’re the man Michael! Best of luck in England 🤝
Your videos are simply the best, congratulations 😊
Thank you so much 😊
Quite the technique applying that solution finish man so im gonna have to steal that from you. Always have loved the attention to detail you put in man! The new merch looks fire! Great music, excellent camera work and of course the car turned out mint! 👌👍
Thank you so much man! Glad people are picking up on the same stuff that I really enjoy. Much love!
Bought an E36 316i new back in ‘94. Put the entire M technik kit on it except for the M3 rearview mirrors and rims. It looked so beautiful but of course it didn’t drive like a real M3. Why oh why did I not pick an E36 M3 up when they could be had for 15k euro or less here in Belgium. Excellent job restauring this beauty sir!
Thanks man! I feel the same! Getting the dream alpine white sedan M3 seems to be like more of a financially unfriendly task each month. But let’s hope, for us, for everyone!
one of the best detailing channel no cap
Appreciate you bro!
@@ChromaticGarage my pleasure love from malaysia🤍
Some channels just get it right ❤. Keep on keepin on.
Appreciate that bro!
I could watch this all day!
Appreciate you man!☺️
My boy, you are killing it again👑👑
Thank you brothaa!🤝🫸
Man what a journey but the outcome is beautiful, a timeless classic these E36 M3 awesome work really appreciate you taking us along.
And I appreciate you watching man! Thank you 🙏
Damn dude, so satisfying. That car is a thing of beauty.
Thanks brotha! Have a great weekend 🙏
Cant wait to see this channel hit a million subs. Not a matter of if, but when.
Hahaha maaaaan. I need to figure out some growth. Thank you 🙏
One thing I learned from white details when you get polish stuck in the lettering on lenses, you can take a little bit of polish on a microfiber and go over the lettering by hand and it works like a charm.
My favourite videos on youtube❤
Thank you Adam!🙏
Sheesh! Showroom fresh! Well done, sir!
Thanks bro! Hyped on the finish 🤝
Top work and attention to detail!! The results are mega! Just searching for that trim restorer and the applicator you used, here in Britain. Keep up the great work.
All the best, John.👍
Thank you man! Most of the detail shops here have it in stock. Applicator was just from Home Depot ☺️
She’s a beauty brotha!
Thanks man! Have a good one 🙏
Beautiful work as always, but this video in particular just felt so right... what an end result. Amazing job!!
Thank you man! Glad to have it all back in one piece 😀
Phenomenal detail and your music choice isn't too shabby either!
Thank you Craig!😊
What a result. Bro you made it to absolut perfection
Thank you friend! I appreciate that!
The culmination of a lot of effort. Well worth it 👍🏼
The only way to do it. Thanks man!
Love the dakar e36! I’ve been waiting so long for it to be cold enough for me to wear the chromatic hoodie I got. Finally feels like it’s cooling off.
Heck yeah Henry! Summer heat isn’t good for anyone or anything 😔
My place, my spot to relax, thank you man
Love to hear that bro! Thank you for watching☺️
Nice video, and overall job on that restoration. I'm just too distracted by the mismatched paintwork and sprayed lower grill (should be black). Also, the black exterior trim shouldn't be glossy, but rather matte, as per the factory finish. Just nitpicking! Very peaceful to watch.
Thank you man! There are quite a few incorrect pieces of information in this comment but I’m not the one to care about this stuff 😭
@ChromaticGarage my bad! I have a 3.2 M3 and failed to realize that some of the 3.0 M3s came with paint matched bumper grilles, and it seems their trim was in fact semi gloss, exactly like you've restored it. Seems like you do care about this stuff!! 😅🍻
Another masterpiece. Amazing job on the car and the video. Thank you so much!
No no thank you for watching! Much love 🧡
It looks absolutely beautiful! I’m not a yellow person but on this car it works, fantastic job as always!!
Thanks man! Unfortunately I’d take yellow on just about any car haha😭
As always, a great video and wonderful work on the car dude. The only thing missing is the shop mascot!
Haha thanks Fred! Hope you’re doing well🙏
E36 coupe is sexiest car ever made. That's why I have 318is orientblue with white leather in my garage. With style 29 BBS wheels. Of course same condition than yours. 🙂
Haha I couldn’t agree more man! It is the best. Orient is a stunning colour, I’m sure it looks fantastic.
Absolutely wonderful to see that gorgeous car in such nice condition.
I agree man! I cannot stress enough how much detailing can save these old cars
Thanks again for this video. The best music as always, iconic car, its all gooooood!! :)
Glad you enjoy it man! I quite enjoy doing it 😀
Loved every second of this. Your M3 is perfection.
Glad you enjoyed it bro!
Work of art
Thank you!🖐️
I need to order merch asap 🙏🏻
🧡🧡🧡
Greatness.
Thank you 😊
@@ChromaticGarage No no, thank you. 👍
Your videography contiunes to just get better and better keep it up man also Love the yellow
You know I absolutely love to hear that man! Thank you ☺️
Can you please do a vid on headlight restoration?
I think I have one already!
Looks fantastic! My favorite color on the E36. Had a chance to pick up a Dakar II sedan a few years back and passed due to the automatic transmission. Still kicking myself.
Oh man! Never ever let the transmission change your mind. Appreciate you, hope the week is being nice to you!
Yet another masterpiece 🎉
Thank you Raphael!
Beautiful.
Thank you!
Great job Mike
Thank you Mike!
the 1 second swag on the rolex flex lol
Hahaha dude I wish. That’s a 30 year old seiko
@@ChromaticGarage ahah aw man... aright my bad... well i hope one day you'll get one then! cheers!
Awesome!🙌🏻
Thank you!🙏
wow nice work bro
Thank you bro!
Your videos are just awesome! Hopefully we will see you doing the same on an Alpina B12 one day… Greetings from Germany✌🏼
Thank you so much man! I can only wish! Much love from Canada!
Oft, perfect 👌 eagerly awaited conclusion.
Not at home with a Gin this time, instead relaxing at my friends Cypriot bar! Gin about to be poured for this! 😉
Love your style my man, never stop ❤️
Thanks man! Haha Cypriot bar will do just fine 😭. Hope you have been well🤝
@@ChromaticGarage it sure will, got a 3 week break out here, all good thank you my man! Hope you’re keeping well too 👌
How did you like the Vonixx V-Paint? Cool video!! ❤
It’s awesome man! I sprayed some water on it yesterday and it performs great!
Love it. Curious what watch are you rocking?
Thank you! Seiko Jewel Fish. 2002ish Japan release

Haha yes Mike! But thank you man! Best of luck with the convertible. I’m sure you’ll do it justice 😊
Helo friend! I've been following your work for some time.
I appreciate that man!

What percent tint?
I don’t think it is tinted but I could be wrong, never really looked
Great video, and great advice
👏👏👏👌Hermoso M3!, sumado a la edición del video tanto música, ángulos, etc.
Mis felicitaciones por compartirnos los avances y trabajos de tu taller 👍.
Éxito y saludos desde Chile ✌️🇨🇱 .
Thank you very much my friend! Much love from Canada 🙏🧡
How did the solution finish turn out on the roof/window trim? Or do you think it would be better painting it? My e36 has the same fading yours had.
Pretty tubular video if i do say so myself
Thank you Matthew!
Where'd you get the side skirts from?
They come on the car!
@@ChromaticGarage lmao sorry it looked like they were new.
In that case where did you get the hardware & gasket? I have the same e36 and my skirt is bowing a bit and the gasket/seal is broken in some parts
Would you ever sell this M3? Very interested if so.
I don’t think it will be for sale.

Thank you!
I so wish the bumper mesh was black 😟 yes the yellow was the "factory" colour but it just looks like overspray lol
Would nice nice but I kinda like the yellow honestly! For such a thin weave
🤤
Yessir!🥹
MURAD form Toronto 🇨🇦👋👌🤘🏻
Yes yes 😁
I have water spots INSIDE my headlight lens covers. Anyone know how to get the cover off to clean it? Can't figure it out for the life of me.
You have to cut it off because of the silicone. Better to just replace

NOICE 👌🏻😉🤙🏻
Thanks brother!
factory new.
Close enough for my liking haha
First!!!
Creator of the constitution at this rate
When I saw that you paint without removing the nickel, and even with foam rubber.... In general, DISLIKE
Haha you’ll be fine brother 😊
