- So there we have it, I'm a crier, now you know. Every single song in this reaction video is absolutely beautiful. I can't actually believe my luck right now - to think I wasn't even planning on exploring SUJU yet?!
(Also there are so many songs in this video that the title didn't fit! AND I managed break my headphones and fix them right in the middle of all of this..so sorry if the sound becomes rubbish at some point, I skimmed through and it seems okay. Everything was against me whilst filming this reaction haha but I made it).

Memories is always referred to as a song created for Yesung, because you can see how his vocals almost fill the entire song including his Adlib who plays with your heart
Interesting because at that point I didn't know why I loved the song so much. And now you say it and now that I know I love Yesung so much it makes sense why this is my most favourite SJ song 🥰
Super Junior is the first and only K-pop group to hold 100 concerts.
If one day Super Junior can't dance anymore and just make an album full of ballad songs i'll still buy and listen to it, Suju's ballad is on another level!!

A lullaby
As both an ELF and Melody, hearing Melody in Suju's lyrics makes me feel giddy too. And I know they're incomplete in SS7, but it's my guilty pleasure. We get to hear members sing parts of songs that they don't usually do (the high notes from Eunhyuk, hearing Leeteuk with more lines, Shindong with lyrics, and not just dan dan dan lol). But still love Sungmin, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun to pieces.
P.S. So glad you love our Yesungie's voice so much. So many just pass on his talents, such a shame they disregard a literal angel.
eDIT: I'm so in love with Corazon Perdido (and Eunhyuk's Be) too! Listening to it is like a part of my daily routine now.
I prefer their supershow (concert) version because i can visualize their stage presence and how they connect to the fans. That’s suju’s trademark. They know how to engage and to hype the fans.
Yesung is ART personified, his last album is a masterpiece, often fuses many genres like jazz, city pop, ballad, rock! He's got great duets. I recommend listening to his Pink Magic album , Beautiful Night album and check out Parallel Lines -brilliant song!

‘This is love’ from SS7 is version with Yesung (without Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, Kangin and Sungmin).
Original MV has no Yesung. It is interesting to hear different versions of same song…. A bit different flavors!
Another song with versions is ‘Devil’ for example Eunhyuk version…
They have stood at the top of their careers. They stand another level. They don't even have to sing. But they are still standing there for the elf who loves them. They make fun of them, make their fans happy and don't go away when the elf is still out there.
I knew you will love Corazón Perdido, the whole album is ridiculously good, No more Love is my second choice in his album, the way he sings, the control, the emotions are mesmerizing, I bet you'll love it ^^.

What a great selection you chose to react to! I love this performance of Memories the most because of Yesung's beginning and Eunhyuk's high notes. For more vocal performances, I highly recommend "Don't Leave Me" and "Islands" from SS6, and "Lovely Day" from SS4. Also" [Full/HD] Sorry Sorry Answer - Super Junior KRY" is a knockout of vocals!
Yesung does, and has done, many ballads in his solo work, but I wouldn't call him a balladeer. At least in the traditional sense. I would say his genre is more "vibe music." The type of music that puts you in a mood, whether happy, sad, or just chilling.
Kyuhyun is probably the most traditional and is considered a typical balladeer in his solo work.
Ryeowook does a mix of traditional ballad with R&B elements.

As for yesung 'straining voice', reminding me one of their Devil performance recently. Yesung sounds 'super raspy' in that song, some fellow ELF start wondering if Yesung sick at that moment. Which of course not, it's just his singing style in that particular song. Even in their official mv he sounds like that 😉
To lighten your mood i reckon let's dance + charm of life + on and on, and wrap up with super duper+solo version. All from SS7. I think you'll love it. They are super extra 😂

Suju gone through two major car accidents that almost took away our youngest, the others badly injured. SM openly admitted they invested little on SuJu but members brought huge profits.
For the past 16 years, Suju often only had ELF to rely on, so they value and cherish fans like no others. They dedicated numerous songs to fans and sang with the most emotions.
if you want more ballad performances from SS6, you should definitely watch "islands" and "don't leave me" 😭 I PROMISE YOU WON'T REGRET IT

I would recommend suju heartbreaking ballad. KRY is actually sub unit that sings ballad a lot. You can find so many ballad from KRY.

You should also see another Super Show with full member or many more member. Suju is actually very cheerful or hillarious group. All the member can bring the joy and funny yet silly thing on the stage that can make us laugh out loud to see them. Suju has 3 main vocalists with very outstanding vocal that i guaranted you would fall into them right away, they are Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung. They''re performed as a Suju sub unit called Suju KRY. They're concerned to sing ballad songs. And they're the best.

kangin will always be my favourite vocalist in suju, idk his voice is so good and attractive at the same time when he sing. not to discredit kry we all know that they're really good but surprisingly my favourite vocal in suju is heechul, shindong, and kangin😩❤️ but once again we talk about suju which all of the members can sing😭

Suju ballads make me emotional, too. If you want songs that feature more harmonizing, you have to listen to "Raining Spell for Love (Remake version)" live clip, "Islands" from SS6 Seoul, and "More Days with You".
At some point you have to react to Super Junior KRY. The best vocals in the biz, and live is where they really shine. You can react to "Shadowless", "My Love, My Kiss, My Heart" from Phonograph in Seoul, "Sorry Sorry Answer" Special Winter Concert, and "Home".

Many people look down on their music talents since all of them are doing so well on variety shows, radio shows and MCing. And just think they are funny.
Most kids in Korea recognise them as entertainers on TV shows but don't even know that they are idols.
In fact, all the members are multi-talents. Every memeber can sing, dance and rap. And some of them are even concert director, video director, composers, musical actors, movie actors...

Super Junior's live performances are all magical, especially ballads, and their vocals are top notch in every live performance that I've seen. One of my favorite live performance from them is Don't Leave Me. Some hidden ballad gems are So I and Someday. It's You is also a great song. I also like The Lucky Ones band version performance from Super Show 7. If you are looking for upbeat tempo songs though, you could look at Boom Boom and some of their quirky songs like Rokkugo and Superman from their subunit Super Junior - T. Not to be confused with the anthem Superman that the regular Super Junior group did as well, to this day it gives me goosebumps how crazy good that SS4 performance is in all its simplicity. For the sub-units, one of my favorite SJ-KRY songs is Coagulation. The control they have over their voices is amazing in that song. For SJ-D&E, my favorite song is Growing Pains, but they have a ton of great songs that you could listen to as well.
Heechul's solo ft Wheein of Mamamoo, 'Narcissus' is a good song showcasing his voice. His song with Min Kyunghoon of Buzz, 'Hanryang' is good too.
It's not actually a solo. It's an M&D song - Midnight & Dawn - Heechul and Kim Jungmo's duo. Heechul did the vocals and wrote the lyrics for M&D and Jungmo wrote the music and played most of the instruments, especially the guitar.

Evanesce is my top fave of their songs..Memories made it mucj ip d list aftr watching this live..that yesung intro was jst a strike ryt thru my heart.. Yes, pls do their older stuff coz they've got some gems there that ppl dnt usually find coz of time trend discrimination .coz d way I see it..their maistream sound..like their title tracks sound & overall style including dance can b divided into 2. 05-13 d cool electronic hook type vs. 14-21 d classy cool fun type.. & ppl tend to think all their older stuff r auotuned..what a pity.. Objctively speaking, in d 1st 3-4 yrs mebers othr than KRY (mwin vocwls) & Donghae, Sungmin, & Kangin (lead vocals)..weren't that much strong as vocals but as d yrs went on they jst imprkved more..tho, I'd say Eunhyuk was alwys d falcetto boy..hihi.. My favorite songs alternate all the time, but I’m a sucker for love songs. This is love is my current favorite. Though their anthems like The Crown or Superman always get me hyped up as well. Checking out a guide may be worth it tbh. It’s hard to describe the bond ELF and Super Junior have. Yes we love their music and personalities and constant content they put out for us. But we’ve seen them grow from boys to men. We’ve seen them almost lose their lives, lose members, our leader going through unspeakable things and still putting the group and fans first. I’ve said it often but even though there are bigger groups out there with bigger fandoms, no fandom loves a group more than ELF does and no group loves a fandom more than SuJu. Sorry tldr 😅.
The raining spell for love remake is a good check out. You can see them all sing together and my bias Ryeowook go off. Ryeowook’s solo stuff is great as well. Drunk in the Morning and The Little Prince are my favorites. But you really can’t go wrong with any of it. Even if a song isn’t your genre of choice or your normal taste you still get an appreciation of how they try different things and never get stale or phone it in even after all these years. Yeay finally a new reaction from you!!! Haha going deeper into the ballads, I see. I kinda want you to switch and react to their sillier/fun stuff like Runaway, Super Duper, Devil (live performances, of course) but I also want you to delve into more of their gold ballads (slow and mid-tempo/R&B stuff) like It's You, Daydream, Mirror, Too Late etc.
About Yesung, his first three mini-albums albums had a lot of ballad stuff but the truth is, he doesn't really like ballads, lol. He's more into band music, rock, R&B, jazz and city pop... So in his 4th mini-album he was given the creative freedom to be experimental with his music and his songs in there had city pop, rock and band music influences (Lost Heart being one of them). Me personally, I prefer him to tackle non-ballads too cuz he's done so much on the SJ b-sides and with KRY already and I don't favor Korean ballads myself, lol (I grew up on American and Malay power ballads so I've always felt Korean ballads are too 'soft' for my taste). He's working on a new album so here's hoping he's staying away from ballads again and be experimental!

There are so many songs that I love from Suju, Suju subunits, Suju's solos and collaboration, that is imposible choose one; in my case Iisten depending on my mood... they have for all ocasions actually jjj~ But in this moment I want recommend you "Carpet", "Still Standing", "Parallel lines" and cover "Wherever you are" from Yesung; and Ryeokwook's album "Drunk on love", he has two MVs from this album, and "Drunk in the morning" and "Im not over you". You’re reactions to these songs are spot on. Picking a Super Junior ballad as a favorite is hard, they do have quite a few and they are all good. I would say if I was new to Super Junior I would work my way backward so I could know what they became before what they were. That is just me if I was new though.

OOh and about Super Junior, you know what could be cool...if you want to hear more of Heechul, he realese 3 songs with Kyunghoon (vocalist os a rock band who is the idol of every idol...even Sungjae imitated him on the show). Two of the songs are ballads "Sweet Dream" and "Falling Blossoms", for the first one there is no ilve version except a SS7 but with fan cam and other with Heechul on the show with Baekhyun but for the other one the ir and is great.
