I have lived really close to Nijmegen my entire life. I am now a 3 year student, still living with my parents. There's no housing, and if there is, you will be paying exorbitant amounts for very little in return.
I leave you with some quote from Kamala Harris.

Internationals who are reading this, you will be left alone even before you graduate. You will be on your own and finding a room in the Netherlands is close to impossible as long as you are not a graduate. Trust me, I have been there. You must go to B&Bs, Airbnbs, and hotels and the university will just say "we are sorry you have not found a room yet".
