There is a mod that allows you to use the gearboxes in manual mode, perhaps it could help you, don't remember the name, you can search for it here in UA-cam.
For snowrunner you need trucks with AWD and DifLock, if it dont have that and over all weak dont bother because the rest if junk. Also you basicly must have a snorkle in snowrunner. Sins your going scubadiving with the trucks all the fucking time.
