It’s shame I never got to board these throughout their service life in London, mainly because I live on the other side of the water. However, I remember as a child in the early 00s visiting cousins around various parts of south London and was always intrigued by the Olympians. I even begged my dad to board one, but none went in our direction 😢. The last time I truly saw them was in summer 2005 when they got mass withdrawn and ended up parking along Seven Sisters High Road. It was an odd sight to see them there. That Gardner holds the gears pretty well. Such a lovely soundtrack.
109 had it's long way back in the 50s, Would actually like such a scheme as good historic correlations between Trafalgar Square for decades. 59 placed one around late 90's.
Fantastic video of 109. What a lot of memories from Leyland Olympians. They used to operate the route during that time of 1998. What bus route, bus fleet, bus group and year will you upload next weekend? Another 2023-2024 video or 2008-2010, and 2011, like TP448.
Once upon a time, it went in two loops around Blackfriars and Embankment until the 1980s, went introduced in 1951 replacing trams 16 & 18. It was allocated a whopping 88 RT’s on Mondays to Fridays!

109 used to go trafalgar square?
It used to run in overlapping sections in the 90's - Trafalgar Square to Croydon & Brixton to Purley using L's

Yes😀
Have you got a channel called views from the bottom deck? Rather hear a Leyland olympian properly.
Camera was too large at that time😂 So just from the upper deck.
