I had the ASA setup to an old 2003 Radius Server. In the ASA, I was able to add the new servers IP in the Selected AAA Groups but couldn't get the 2012 NPS setup. It was the attribute change from Calling-Station-ID to USER that finally did the trick. Fantastic. Now I can decom my old box. I would like to check out the video you made that shows how to create a Cisco Connections Profile and AAA Server Group from scratch. Cheers!
Thank you so much! We changed our last domain controller over to 2012 and our ASA stopped authenticating. Nothing had changed on the ASA but we couldn't VPN. Followed your steps and with a little tweaking we got the RADIUS working on 2012. Thanks again!
Thanks you for a well constructed Video, During a catastrophic failure, this video along with the video "How to use Active Directory and Radius to Authenticate Cisco ASA VPN Users" (How to Use Active Directory and RADIUS to Authenticate Cisco ASA VPN Users: Cisco ASA Training 101 ) allowed me to quickly bring the VPN users back into the company. A real time saver.

when you get to setting the 'Friendly name' of the client device is that the same as when you set the hostname on the device itself? I mean are they the same values?

I'm setting up 2FA VPN tunnels for multiple client's on our Cisco ASA firewall and I'm wondering what you would suggest for such a multi-tenant device and it's authenticate against AD groups through NPS? Can I create multiple AAA server groups and link them to multiple NPS Radius clients? If so how do I attach each network policy to their respective Radius client? If not, what on the Cisco device can I use to make that AD user group distinction?

Roman, try searching on "configuring radius on cisco router" (or whichever brand of router you're using). Be sure to confirm that the software version in the configuration procedures matches what is on your router.
