This is a superb Pooriya by any standards. Loved every bit of it. Pin-sharp swar lagaav over time-tested phrases. I'd call it an object lesson on just what the Raga is all about. Kudos!
So happy with this Puriya. I had never heard it on sarode. I don't know why Khansahib AAK never wanted to play it. Maligora isn't even close.

I'm sure I will be pilloried on the comments column since I can see several jaankaars below, but what is notable about this version is the bechaini created by not using the mandra saptak too much. Excessive use of the lower octaves leads to a somnambulistic experience from lesser performers. The other notable feature is the purity of the raga, in an age when bonsai ragas are created in the backyard.
What emerges is a Puriya which is serious, but not overly so, and full of the grief necessary. The complete absence of a gat adds to this feeling. The only jarring note that I can think of is the sub-optimal quality of the video recording, which I guess was unavoidable since it it footage from a virtual concert.
