I rlly wanna start a jewelry business and this is literally perfect. All the other videos used all these other materials and you literally showed us how to make everything. If you know how to make some more chains please show us 🥺
Hello! I would recommend wire making jewelry, because you can find specific colors like gold (I searched it up and it seems like aluminum wire is mainly silver?) On the other hand, if you want silver and know what gauge to buy, even the ones not explicitly labeled for jewelry making should work!
Resources for the Black Lives Matter movement are in the description! Just because people start putting out their usual content doesn’t mean that the problem is fixed - because it most definitely isn’t.
So, a lot of people have been watching this video recently and I just want to say thank you! College apps are kicking my ass at the moment, but as soon as Nov 1 passes I’ll film another wire jewelry vid bc I have a lot more ideas!! ❤️

I never thought about how necklaces & bracelets were actually made, but I think that it’s actually super cool now that I’ve seen it done. Like, wow! Thanks for showing us. And it’s very tedious obviously. I’m so shocked that needle nose pliers can make a perfect circle & you don’t need a “special tool” or something!! Pretty cool.

Amazing! I am currently in Lusaka Zambia and I didn't bring my jewelry back home in Seattle, so I can't wait to go back home and beg my mom for more wire and jewelry making kits so I can make these! Also a question: what gauge number did u use so I can buy it!
I used 22 and 26 gauge wire in this video! The 22 is to make structures, and the 26 is to wrap wire. I also occasionally use 18 gauge if I want a thicker ring :)
I found a kit on amazon for 30 dollars with over 5000 beads and multiple packs of the wire along with packaging for selling, I ordered it and plan to start making my own jewelry :) any tips?
I would say start with cheap wire to experiment with! Your first few creations will rarely turn out great, so it’s good to start small and work your way up!
Ahhhh thank you so much! It really means a lot to me that people are enjoying my vids :) I edit with iMovie on iPhone - I actually have a video somewhere on my channel abt how I do it
I tried making the first chain with the size as shown in the video like 3 different times and gave up bc the links kept bending way out of shape when I tried to curve the ends. I finally restarted with bigger links and it’s a lot easier to manipulate!! So if you’re just starting out and not handy like me start out bigger!
a necklace might take me an hour or so, but a bracelet might take me about half an hour! (also, I haven’t made one in a while Bc I’ve been experimenting w new designs, so these numbers might be slightly off lol)
Thank you so much for this tutorial.. I was looking for this kind of video and I finally found it.. ❤❤ Can you please tell me , where did you get that butterfly charms
Hi Maya I wanted to ask if I am allowed to use some of these designs (especially the beaded chain) for my jewellery business which I plan on opening soon. Thanks xx
Thank you for sharing I think your video was great for beginners like me. I hope I can do it because I have osteoarthritis in my hands . I hope it will not be so painful. Many blesses dear ❤️🙏🏻
I actually didn’t include that one in the video because it isn’t very sturdy, but I might consider improving the design and making a future video about it!
Hey please tell me where did you buy the wire and other tools ....Or suggest me any online store from where i can buy necessary stuff to start making jewellery...
Hey! Just wondering if the wire is irritant to the skin? I get infections from earrings quite easily so I wanted to know if you had any problems with that!! (Does it rust?)
It does tarnish a bit if it is overworked with the pliers, but if you treat it gently it doesn’t! I’ve been using it for quite a few months now as earrings, and I’ve had no issue - but that might just be because my ears aren’t sensitive.
It should still work with thinner wire! The chains with 24 gauge will just be skinnier. 24 gauge might be a bit too flimsy for the earrings, but that depends on the strength of the wire. It should actually make it easier to do the beaded chain with 24 gauge! Haha I realized I completely forgot to answer the second part of ur question! The beads are around 3-4 mm in diameter

a few tips that I found helpful to mark your round node pliers so that your links are consistent. as far as your clasp the last step I am not sure what that was however you can make a closed s shape clasp they are pretty common. I also recommend you watch a wrapped loop tutorial I think you find it helpful they will be a lot easier. also if you hammer your star and heart earrings when you finish shaping them they won't lose there shape
This may be a suggestion if you don't mind malleting with an anvil on the wire, but for the arch chain if you want to make the shape hold its form so when you move it around it doesn't bend everywhere-- you can mallet it on a jewelry anvil the part that bent after you manipulate the chain to its desired form. It does tarnish a bit if it is overworked with the pliers, but if you treat it gently it doesn’t! I’ve been using it for quite a few months now as earrings, and I’ve had no issue - but that might just be because my ears aren’t sensitive.
Another option is to coat the wire in nail polish so that it’s less irritating!
How many links did you put on one bracelet?
25 for my bracelet! The total length (including the clasp) is 17 cm, and each of my links is abt 1.5 cm
May i ask were u got ur beads and charms 😅 im 13 turning 14 and thinking about making a jewelry business ✨ 🤗
Honestly they’re from all over the place lol - I find a lot of unique ones from michaels!
This kinda reminds me of when I used to try and make rings out of paper clips with my bare hands during class.
Yuppppp that was definitely me in school lol - I was always fiddling with something
Will it still work with 24 gauge also what size of bead did u use ?
It should still work with thinner wire! The chains with 24 gauge will just be skinnier. 24 gauge might be a bit too flimsy for the earrings, but that depends on the strength of the wire. It should actually make it easier to do the beaded chain with 24 gauge!
