I agree. That's not BAD writing, it's logic writing. The script writers of tvd always connect the story and conflates it in every possible way for things to makes sense. I'd say that some real badass writing, just the way a tv-serie or a movie should based as. They never leave us watchers with a question mark when things always do makes sense in the big picture afterwards!

I DON'T AGREE!! that scene was perfect it was an INCREDIBLE AND AMAZING parallel with 3x22 I adore the fact that she told him that she loves him over the phone, In 3x22 elena called Damon and broke both their hearts by choosing stefan... This is Elena fixing her mistake, she made the wrong call that night and now she made the right one! in 3x22 she called damon telling him she was driving away from him, now she's driving towards him!!!
