  • Hello, my friends! Wow, it has been forever since I've posted anything. I've been in school for 18 months, and... well... I suppose I just got shy about sharing my playing. There's so much more pressure when one suddenly gets noticed for certain videos. Anyway, I decided to go back to keeping it simple, so here's some droning, vocals, and a wee bit of rhythm, all processed through a bunch of reverb in realtime via my Universal Audio DAW. This will sound WAY better in headphones or on decent speakers.

Good to see and most definitely to hear you once again..
Even though I first learnt circular breathing 30 plus years ago.. Once I learnt I probably played for another year then I gave up.. and hardly ever picked the didgeridoo up again, I took up guitar and got pretty good.. then I get riddled with osteoarthritis, worse place for playing most instruments, in my fingers and base of my thumbs, Playing was getting very painful so I decided to stop.. then after 8 years of no instruments I suddenly find myself back into playing didge. Over the past 6 months I've bought another 9 Didgeridoos, The last one is a lovely deep sounding 6ft Eucalyptus Jesse Lethbridge.. I have fallen in love with 6ft plus didges.. 😂
Anyway since returning to playing and watching your videos I've noticed I've gotten into a bad habit, probably from day one, were I'm taking my breath to late and hence not getting full amount of air intake.. I'm finding it so hard to break this habit.. but your videos are helping me more than anyone else's videos.. it means I'm back to square one, but with plenty of skills I've picked up over the years but mainly over the past 6 months...I Practice for about 15 minutes with the correct technique, but then Practice for an hour or two with my old breathing methods, I self taught myself with a cardboard tube in the early 90's.. learnt to circular breath, bought a short straight split wood didge and played it for about a year before more or less stopping, only picking it up once or twice a year..
But I'm so glad I found your channel, you have a great way of teaching, breaking it down and making it really easy to understand so thank you for all the work you put into all of those past lessons.. definitely appreciated by myself and thousands of others.

Yo dude..big fan. ❤ You have been big help for years now. Always sending beginners your way.
I am looking for a new wood didge. Any suggestions for crafters or sellers?? As i have many didgeridoos, its time for a new sound.

    Hi Dave!
Are you only making a drone with “eeeeiu” vocals on it?
Im trying to get a beautiful and meditative drone as yours in this video.
Could you give me a hint or an advise to get close to this very deep drone?

This is great David! Thank you for this. What audio equipment are you using? Mic, amp, portable audio recorder? I dont have any experience with sound equipment and ive been wanting to get a lil setup for recording/running reverb with the didge. Bless up!
