We are overwhelmed by tribalism, corruption, murder, rape, theft and racial arrogance. I am 81 years young, and I stand in horror noting the destruction of our civilised, first-world country!

Blame the people who keep voting for him. Most of them are probably not interested in the beautiful and great city London used to be. Khan has apparently got his sights on removing the Albert Memorial next as it could upset ethnic minorities.
Going to Oxford street when visiting London was magical. The hustle and bustle is part of it. Making it a pedestrian area will kill it. Nothing is sacred any more.😳😳😳😳
They tried this in our main street in the city of Gquberha (previously known as Port Elizabeth but renamed in order to "de-colonise" South Africa). It turned into a muggers' paradise, a heaving mass of informal vendors and stalls, and an almost total migration of top stores to other areas, as no one in their right mind now shops there. They also turned Durban beachfront, once a major tourist attraction with 5-star hotels, into a pedestrian area, same result. It's very attractive, but beach goers found other places to visit and stay. No one wants to traipse miles on foot to get to the actual beach while carrying picnic baskets, beach umbrellas, and children who tire easily of the long walk.
Consideration for the elderly and people with mobility issues would be a bonus. How are people supposed to shop if they have difficulty moving about? They changed my towns main shopping area to a one-way street. They refuse to change the street back to two-way traffic. The retailers requested this. Stores are empty. it's a ghost town. The retailers that requested this are now gone, along with most of the other shops as well. I used to go through town all the time, I'm lucky if I go through now 2 to 3 times a year. They need to be careful people who want to shop but can't go elsewhere. Cheers!👋👋😁
My High Street has been killed by Pedestrianisation I live in Canterbury a very old Historical area but now the Council have totally ruined our High Street Completely they now want to to get people to live in the High Street they plan on building flats for all the Students that come to Canterbury for the Five Universities here what a flipping difference 40 years has made to this once vibrant happy town centre.😢
On any trip to London (usually business) I would always make my way to Harrods and make a small purchase so I could carry the Harrods Bag. It was a must have.
Neil, it saddens me to bear witness to the utter insanity that's being carried out in the name of Net Zero. Each an every city, town and even tiny village, be they in Scotland, England, N Ireland or Wales, has been impacted. In short, regardless of where you are living, you don't have to travel too far to see what the local councils have done to ruin what we once admired and perhaps took for granted. Because of the Low Emission Zones, running your car has become almost a luxury. You are not experiencing the choice of decent local shops any more as their rates have increased tremendously leading the owners to shut up shop and cease trading. The footfall of customers have dwindled because of the extra charges car owners face. The shopkeeper has to then increase his prices just to keep his business ticking over, so, those locals who once walked to his shop are calling it a day as they cannot afford to pay the hiked up prices. Wee independent shops are packing up their wares and saying farewell, that's if they'd even survived the lockdowns. The high street is all but dead. Big corporations are now the ones to buy from whilst we stay home to await the delivery. Or government have got us where they want us - it's like a self imposed lock down. My family run/owned public bar couldn't survive the lock downs. May publicans shut up shop. I was not alone and when public houses close, the locals lose the heart of their communities. Of course, our government want us staying home, not mixing, not for any medical reason but a more sinister one than that - they don't want us getting together and sharing information. We're ll slowly being silenced, gagged. I could go on but I shan't as I'm sure you get the picture. I hate the way things are and they'll continue to get worse. Living in communist society is not living in my opinion. London has gone to the dogs. I'm just delighted that I experienced the old London during the 60's, the 70's and the 80's. She was a colourful, alive, sparkling city then. She shone. Now London is dead. Thank you for all your presentations, Neil. You bring joy and sanity my way! God Bless.
Terrible. I am of an age when i went to London regularly in the 1970s for pleasure, weekends away, work, courses and visiting friends and relations. All through the year and especially Christmas time. The shows eating out shopping. A fabulous time always and looked forward to and planned with great anticipation. Sounds now like a place to avoid and go to one of the still great capitals in Europe and elsewhere. Thank you Sadiq and all who voted for you.
Only the day before yesterday I needed buses to get up oxford Street , then back the other way! How will we walk that long way!!! I was not alone in the buses. It is to far, to long to walk! Sadiq Khan Labour no concern for the elderly, the disabled, those who do not want to walk a very long road!
So, I started my nursing training in 1979. Like Neal I'd go to HMV and browse around there. I bought clothes on Oxford Street. It was fun. Now, many years later, I don't live in London anymore, but it saddens me to hear about these plans. I wouldn't be able to access OS because I'm disabled and couldn't walk that far without using buses. I'm saddened to hear that OS looks like a third world country now. And I'm saddened to hear that, and I the no you're right, that the foundational reason for stopping access via vehicles is simply hecause someone is going along with the idea that we, the unimportant public, shouldn't have vehicular access to anywhere in the future. What will the disabled do?
It may look like a third world country to you kimsipcer9038, BUT ITS HEAVEN ON EARTH TO THOSE WHO ARE MOVING TO THE UK IN THEIR HOARDS AND THAT IS WHAT THE MAYOR WANTS. MOSQUES ON EVERY STREET CORNER. Even the King attends the opening of a new one if its considered to be large enough.

I therefore no longer go there. Businesses are going to suffer because if this stupid scheme. Khan has had buses rerouted all around central London. To attend a hospital appointment it was a single bus ride, now I need to take two or three buses fir the same journey.

As for khan, well you only need one parasite to consume a carcass. Our Great Capital has been totally and utterely ruined, as is the rest of the country.
Our dad used to take us up before Christmas to see Oxford Street windows and we would be allowed to buy one Britain's Farm Animal. Loved wandering up and down and then getting bus back to my nan and grandads when I was worn out. Then we would go for pie and mash at Arments. Those were the days... Sad to think buses will be stopped from going up and down that wonderful place. Mind we have bus gates here which are an absolute nightmare and have ruined the high street with people going out of business because of lack of access
I’m not a Londoner, so can only comment as a visitor. I go to London multiple times a year. I rarely go to Oxford Street. That said, one of the fun things about being there is seeing who drives past. The buses, the taxis. I’ve never found the traffic an issue. I wish the man would stop destroying our capital city.
My parents were both born in London. They would be horrified by the changes and proposed changes. I haven't been there since 2019 and don't feel drawn back to it... Khan is destroying it, and it's down to him that a statue to our glorious late Queen is not going to be erected in Trafalgar Square!
Being born and raised in London, I was regularly taken by my mother to D.H.Evans and Selfridges to shop for clothes. Lets hope these memories are not marred by this pathetic little man. The loss of tourism would be high I would suggest. Seems he is hell bent on ruining London.
Online shopping's killed the high end shopping experience, I can remember buying dinner for six at my favourite department store and running home to shower and change set a beautiful table and serving wonderfully cooked food that was second to none. Now that your favourite restaurants deliver no need to rush about, just wait at home for your guests and food to arrive, without stepping foot outside.
I loved when I worked near Oxford used to go to Selfridge on my lunch break. It was lovely back in the eighties. Sadiq khan needs to go. He is ruining London. What a horrible little man.
Khan has wanted to pedestrianise Oxford st since 2016. Westminster told him to do one. Now he’s back and he’s got a Labour government backing him up. I said it from the very beginning, look to what khan has done to London, if you want to see what labour will do nationally. I cannot stand Khan, I’ve despised him since before it was cool.
Pedestrianisation is the death knell for towns and cities, as the years have passed people have generally become lazier, wanting to be able to park in town as near as possible to the shop they want to go to or in the case of a city to be able to get a bus stop as close as possible. There are lots of factors which cause streets and town centres to fail, the advent of out of town retail parks and shopping malls being the worst culprit, these places were convenient and accessible and shoppers loved it, then came online shopping….. thinking that creating a pedestrianised area is somehow going to bring shoppers back is a nonsense! The bell will toll for Oxford Street if this is allowed to go ahead, it will die a death and so will the livelihoods of many business owners not to mention their thousands of employees.
I can remember travelling from the North to Portsmouth at Cristmas to see my family. The best bit of all was stopping at Oxford Street and Regent Street to see all the xmas window displays. So exciting, never forget it.

Exactly what I was going to say.
I have never been to London. I have been to Paris. This man looks vert evil. This is what happens when you allow millions of people to enter your country illegally and turn it upside down.
This must be in the running for the stupidest comment yet posted.

Yes he is he took away our use of our

4:30 am- 9:00 am. That the conservative London Mayor Boris Johnson gave us elderly! In a very sly
evil, way. Sadiq khan said it was temporary for COVID. But it was a
Lie!! When social distancing, COVID
ended. Our use of our Freedom pass/
60 plus oyster card, was not restored
to us. Everything Sadiq Khan does is
evil! The huge increases he adds to the council tax! He is a nightmare London Mayor!
Paris is now a shit hole.......for the same exact reason London is
Treason needs to be reinstated on the statute book, then arrest him for his crimes.Install someone who will clean up and put it back to what it once was.
Yes, we need exactly the same here in our once world-renowned and beautiful South Africa. We have been taken over by savages, in the name of "equality". We are overwhelmed by tribalism, corruption, murder, rape, theft and racial arrogance. I am 81 years young, and I stand in horror noting the destruction of our civilised, first-world country!
Business owners/shop staff and customers (pensioners/disabled) need to get themselves organised and together to stop this happening to Oxford Street. Before it starts, once it's gone, it's gone!!.
When is someone going to say no to khan?! He thinks its HIS city...get him out !!! And will praying be stopped en mass?
Blame the people who keep voting for him. Most of them are probably not interested in the beautiful and great city London used to be. Khan has apparently got his sights on removing the Albert Memorial next as it could upset ethnic minorities.
Going to Oxford street when visiting London was magical. The hustle and bustle is part of it. Making it a pedestrian area will kill it. Nothing is sacred any more.😳😳😳😳
As an old Londoner I have no intention of setting my foot back there, it holds nothing for me anymore so sad!
Yes, Londonistan.
They are ruining South Africa period. 😡
The people who are citizens should be able to vote on drastic changes to their city.
Not enough indigenous Brit’s in London left to vote it out
No they can't not in the UK they can't I wish people foreigners would take this message on board and not visit again.
I’ll never go to London with its crime and toxicity. Sorry that it is being destroyed.
just use common sense when using your phone-unless you're being racist
I fee sorry for you. Cambridge and Oxford going the same way. Even students are revolting lefties and so woke its painful. Waste of student grants.
It used to be THE place to shop but now it's tawdry. It saddens me as I was born in London but will never return there.
I don't go into London these days . . . . Too many people of the type who offend me! . . . Assuming I'm allowed to be affended???
Come on, lets all be offended together. I would have suggested tea at the Ritz but not now, my hijab is at the cleaners.
Its disgusting what's happened to England
It’s not London anymore it’s LondonStan 🤬
👋Neil I still can’t believe what these crazy people are doing to our two countries! It’s so sad disgusting!
Rayner-Kahn!! What an intellectual vacuum of Olympian proportions.

I think I've seen a dead frog with a higher I.Q.
Yes how as this man got so much power to decide what ever he wants and that's it done and dusted
On any trip to London (usually business) I would always make my way to Harrods and make a small purchase so I could carry the Harrods Bag. It was a must have.
I wouldn't go yo London now. It is really sad to see our country being destroyed and everywhere looking so run down.😢
Neil, it saddens me to bear witness to the utter insanity that's being carried out in the name of Net Zero.
Nor accessiblity to the disabled who depend upon transport if they don’t have expensive power chairs!
What a shame you got these people making plans who don't understand anything
You're spot on Neil, once there's no buses business fails!
Only the day before yesterday I needed buses to get up oxford
Street , then back the other way!
How will we walk that long way!!!
I was not alone in the buses. It is
to far, to long to walk! Sadiq Khan
Labour no concern for the elderly,
the disabled, those who do not
want to walk a very long road!
It's what's happening in Sheffield city centre and other cities.
Sadiq Khan has to be the worst Lord Mayor of London ever. Whoever thought it was a good idea to vote him back in? Poor London, leave it alone.
As you say Sean, too many cheap tacky souvenir shops along there now. Khan has already stopped the one bus that would have taken me along the full length of Oxford Street. I therefore no longer go there. Businesses are going to suffer because if this stupid scheme. Khan has had buses rerouted all around central London. To attend a hospital appointment it was a single bus ride, now I need to take two or three buses fir the same journey.
I bought my wedding dress in Dickens and Jones on Oxford St. That was a nice memory, but London is a wasteland now.
I was in London last year. Your Mayor is strangling the life out of it. Is it London or Islam? I'm returning to the UK next year, but London will not be on my list. I want to see British culture, not Islam.
They are trying to ruin the shopping experience. They want on line shopping.
Good point.👍
We have similar maddness in Melbourne CBD area too. The woke mob hate cars hate this hate that ...... Forget the traders who pay their wages through rates etc
Neil, you hit the nail on the head, London was full of luxuries that most people could only dream about, they could not afford to live there and so were forced to move away. As for khan, well you only need one parasite to consume a carcass. Our Great Capital has been totally and utterely ruined, as is the rest of the country.
Only a man who never takes a bus or taxi would come up with a plan like this.
Certainly we’re.
A long way to push a wheel chair or walk with a walker. Very selfish and proves neither are fit for their role and are totally out of touch.
My parents were both born in London. They would be horrified by the changes and proposed changes. I haven't been there since 2019 and don't feel drawn back to it... Khan is destroying it, and it's down to him that a statue to our glorious late Queen is not going to be erected in Trafalgar Square!
Khan wants to create a large Space in Oxford Street where his Followers can all Pray with no interruption.
'His' followers. Sounds about right.
I no longer have any desire to visit London. It has been ruined.
How the heck are these people getting voted into office? Gross.
Because if you read between the line of the messages above, its obvious. That and the far left.
You're right Neil, it's a long walk down Oxford Street! I'm a Londoner and have struggled to find anyone who voted for Khan
That's because if you asked anyone in English if they voted for him, they wouldn't understand the question.
You don't meet enough softie, leftie, wokist, cos they are out there.
Mr Selfridge 💚
Gosh, that London Mayor has aged.
Being born and raised in London, I was regularly taken by my mother to D.H.Evans and Selfridges to shop for clothes. Lets hope these memories are not marred by this pathetic little man. The loss of tourism would be high I would suggest. Seems he is hell bent on ruining London.
Pure madness & sadness. Why are the people letting things like this happen without an outcry. 😢
Because white Londoners are now the minority.
Hate on line shopping. Avoid it like the plague
What's wrong with the politicians in the world??? They think they know what people want, but are so out of touch, they truly are ueless and clueless.
I can remember Oxford Street being so crowded that you had to scuffle along 👋🇬🇧
I loved when I worked near Oxford used to go to Selfridge on my lunch break. It was lovely back in the eighties. Sadiq khan needs to go. He is ruining London. What a horrible little man.
loved to look and not buy during our lunch hours when every shop was open and full and Christmas lights were amazing
Well they are building a super mosque there's, sign of things to come.
Khan has wanted to pedestrianise Oxford st since 2016. Westminster told him to do one. Now he’s back and he’s got a Labour government backing him up.
I said it from the very beginning, look to what khan has done to London, if you want to see what labour will do nationally.
I cannot stand Khan, I’ve despised him since before it was cool.
we can say thanks to all those who voted labour in 2024 !
In my day--fashion was found on Carnaby Street! It is strange to realize just how long ago that was!
The browning of the UK and the capital London has been a disaster.
They already did it in Birmingham and Coventry.
Khan and the woke aren't replacing the past with anything of beauty or anything better.
You can’t get 50,000 people praying in the road if the cars are allowed down
Lovely tie Neil ! 👋👋👋👋👋🌹🌹🌹🌹👋👋👋👋
Yes!!!!
Anyone remember Bourne & Hollingsworth department store?
Marshall & Snelgrove. Debenham & Freebody on Wigmore St.
YES, lovely. and the Army and Navy.
That mayor is nuts
I can remember travelling from the North to Portsmouth at Cristmas to see my family. The best bit of all was stopping at Oxford Street and Regent Street to see all the xmas window displays. So exciting, never forget it.
Londonistan is history lol
You mean 'London is history', it now seems more like Londonistan...
@@lottieallen9458 That whats called sarcasm. Very acccurate sarcasm I have to admit.
What about disabled people. How are they meant to access the shops if they can't walk far?
Get rid of the mayor as well
Mayor's put on a 6 month contract, if its good for the people it goes to 12 months, ect.
As Oxford St is over a mile long it is unlikely to manage to survive without buses and the ability for vehicles to deliver products to the shops.
Need our beloved taxis too ! 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Um delivery trucks will go down the street. They do on any other city with pedestrian only shopping streets.
Mr Khan has no respect for London.
I wouldn't give London the time of day now it has been totally ruined by that prat Khan he reminds me of the Hood in Thunderbirds complete EVIL.
