I love this one. It is just slightly before the sets im familiar with came out, but sets like these are built in a way that makes me appreciate the simplicity and imagination.
I had this as a child and I still have it. Will be making my own little video with mine. Remember playing with this a lot! The cars rear window was such a new thing back then, was completely different from other cars
That was my very first Lego set. I got it for my birthday when I was 5 I think. I remember that I put it together so many times, I didn`t need the instructions at some point. Almost went back in time with this review. Thanks Jang!
Cool review, thx a lot! 1:37: The structure just behind the hitch/tow bar is a compartment for detachable tanks filled with liquid petroleum gas (propane/butane). In Europe they are the standard energy source for the stove, heating and fridge in caravans. They have to be stored in a separate compartment outside the livingroom due to safety regulations.
I like seeing all of these old sets, I'm not old enough to have seen them before so thanks for introducing me to something classic, I enjoy your classic space vids the most though
They used those same hinge pieces in yellow and with a special print on them on a submarine that was part of Lego system set 6195, the underwater laboratory set they did in 1995 which is great for display and play that I throughly enjoy owning
Nice video. Let me just correct part of your comment about the car: It is not build on the early eighties platform, as you say but on the "new" one that was only available since 1987, if I am not mistaken. You can tell by the fact that the cab section is shorter with no extra stud behind the door. Structurally this car is an interesting build, but the final outlook really resembles an ordinary early eighties car.
Loved the little car. The trailer could have been better, going six-wide instead of 4-wide. The extra internal space would make it more minifig-acomodating. The way it is just resembles more a hot-dog stand on wheels than an acomodating camping trailer.
love your channel...where do you get your classic sets..they look very new looking..hope all is going well with your new city lay out..and hope you and family are enjoying your new home..thanks for sharing your knowledge on lego....
Hi Jang! Your videos always keep me entertained. Keep it up! Can u tell me what the red plated hinge piece is on the camper part that connects the roof? I need some of those elements as I have the roof pieces. Thanks!
I have been watching your reviews of the older sets, and I've noticed things that they do in the older ones that they would never do today because of sturdiness standards. When you hold the older models do they feel less durable to you?
Hi Jang, I really enjoy your channel, especially your city and Bionicle videos. I would prefer you didn't do these lego classic videos, because I watch your bionicle and city reviews to decide whether or not I want to buy them, or your MOC vids to get ideas. These sets look less exciting and I would prefer you post more videos in general - updates, MOCs, and hauls, specifically. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Hi Sherman, Thanks for your support, but please don't watch videos you don't want to watch. Only watch the videos you want to watch. That'll solve the problem. Thank you :)
JANGBRiCKS Hey Jang, just wanted to add that I, in contrast to Sherman ;) , really enjoy the classic videos due to their nostalgic feel. I often see those sets and they remind me how I always wanted them when I was a child! Great job so far :) !
I absolutely love the old LEGO sets!

Love how simple things used to be and to see how Lego has grown.
That was my very first Lego set. I got it for my birthday when I was 5 I think. I remember that I put it together so many times, I didn`t need the instructions at some point. Almost went back in time with this review. Thanks Jang!

Wow! Back then the LEGO cars had roof windows? Fancy!

Oh man, I had this new. I love that LEGO seems to come out with a new camper set like this every year or so.
I had that set! Just wanted to say thank you Jang, mum passed away last week and your vids have really helped take my mind off things. thankyou
i really like the small scale of the old Legoland sets, they are so cute!
I like seeing all of these old sets, I'm not old enough to have seen them before so thanks for introducing me to something classic, I enjoy your classic space vids the most though
Boy, this brings back memory's of flipping through the Lego books when I was 8 years old haha. Great review!
I purchased this same exact set off of Bricklink. I fell in love with it.
I loved this as a kid!
Great memories, I had this set. Awesome 😀
I've completely forgot about my horrible day! Thanks for bringing back grate memories.

the caravan kind of reminds me of the old school caravans we have in New Zealand.
Cute little set
I've bought the new caravan set and I wish I had this one! Such a cool set!
Amazing set. I'd rather buy this one rather than the recent camper sets.
More classic sets ! =)
One of my first sets :D
a pretty stylish kit.
As a kid I wanted this so bad, never got further tan drooling over the catalog...
i have this set :)
missing few pieces but looks very good, and i love it
I have this set up at my gramdparents and i love it

These 4 wide simple cars just I love for some reason
If i could buy these I would just go
*Buys all of them* YAY
same. 1980s had best sets
JeefCake same
Wow cool!
Love those classic set reviews along with the very recent 6374 reviews. Why don't you make 'Vintage' or 'Classic' section in your youtube channel?
I like the old sets bc you dont have to remove the whole roof. You can just open the roof then close it.
I would use the trailer as a food truck :)
Nice I wish I could get that set I only collect Lego in 2009 my oldest unopened set is Mars Mission
I was 4 when this came out
Am I the only one that prefers these old city sets above the new ones ?
Keep it simple, less is more.
Jang can you consider doing the classic pirates sets please
theese older ones ale wery simple , but actually very cool
I like that set i like the camper of that set and i thank it is cool
love your channel...where do you get your classic sets..they look very new looking..hope all is going well with your new city lay out..and hope you and family are enjoying your new home..thanks for sharing your knowledge on lego....
For all you Top Gear fans it kinda looks like Geoff (Jeff) The electric car... :D
Ah, my first set
Just subscribed. I look forward to watching your content before I begin the MANY questions. Perhaps you've already answered them...
my nightmare about these vintage sets is that EVERY SINGLE MINIFIGURE HAS THE SAME HEAD
Hey, it's better than the ancient (really old) ones without a face.
Dang
Cute
I'm so envy right now.....
Hi jang i came up with a idea for your city. You could make a Nicolas tractamas truck with heavy hauler trailer.
Hi Jang! Your videos always keep me entertained. Keep it up! Can u tell me what the red plated hinge piece is on the camper part that connects the roof? I need some of those elements as I have the roof pieces.
Thanks!
Cool I have that
Looks like they've stop offering sunroof as factory option on all modern LEGO city cars!
I have been watching your reviews of the older sets, and I've noticed things that they do in the older ones that they would never do today because of sturdiness standards. When you hold the older models do they feel less durable to you?
My sister had this.
hah I have this!
Where did you get this set
at least its not cra gled!
Anyone think this looks just like the van and caravan (2016)
They remade this set
