@@AutomotiveTerritoryDailyNews - just looked it up. It looks like (and they are calling it) more of a shooting brake. I have just purchased a Pre-owned Genesis G90 5.0Htrac, coming from a 2009 Hyundai Genesis 4.6 which I had for six years reliability was a 10, I loved every minute driving it. This G90 is the same as well, I think I am never selling it the reliability is impeccable. I would choose this over a Rolls Royce Ghost. They can keep a Audi A8, BMW 7 series, Mercedes S-Class, Lexus LS, GENESIS is my first Choice in luxury Sedans period. I love everything Genesis is creating, the Genesis G70,G80,G90 of course. The Genesis GV80 is awesome the upcoming Genesis GV70. Hopefully a GT Genesis in the future. I might buy another Genesis back from 2011 or 2012 Genesis 5.0 R Spec that car was awesome as well and the Equus. The reliability are a 10 on all of them.
I see a lot of Genesis vehicles on the road,. It is no longer a question of can they compete, they are competing and in some cases beating the traditional luxury brands especially in features and price points.
A Page Agreed! Not even close to the Germans for luxury, refinement and performance. However, if this new generation is reliable.... they sill blow the Japanese luxury brands out of the water!
Not yet. It still needs lot of work to beat bmw, Audi, Mercedes but may be close to beat Lexus at least IS line. But I know there were two cases where g70 caught fire in S. Korea, n both causes are yet unknown.
Its going to be 7 models soon, they're developing an Electric SUV called the GV60 (launching probably winter 2021 or spring 2022) and an Electric Sports Coupe (could have either of these names: GT90, GT80, GT70)
Genesis is bringing the heat to the Germans and left the American luxury's behind also their becoming pretty compatible to Lexus. However Acura & Infinity to really step up.
Currently own a G80 and a Santa Fe. Owned a Genesis Coupe 3.8 before. I always thought that 3.8 engine was great but needed a turbo on it to destroy the Mustangs and Camaros. So, my choice would be get one in production and put that 3.5tt engine in it NOW! Buy my next one will be another G80. The coupe was so fast I worried about tickets any time I drove it. Getting older is a bitxh!
I really like this car ,and OMG beautiful!! But , once again, it’s a Hyundai . ( How many old Hyundai’s do you see on the road . look and see how many Mondays that are 15 year old people are still driving )
Are you hired by Hyundai/Genesis? Why is nobody talking about the mechanical problems the GV80 is having in Korea? Before you say “that’s only the diesel engines”.... I’ll stop you. They’ve also got problems with a fuel gauge and something to do with the transmission. It’s all being kept very hush, hush. Not everyone has forgotten what Hyundai quality used to be like and I’d hate to see their luxury brand revert to their old ways.... I have a GV80 on reserve so I have been reading every single article I can find. Oh.... and to answer your question... Genesis has a long way to go before they’ll be competing with the Germans. I’ve sat inside the new GV80 and turned it on... it doesn’t come close to the Germans. However, if the reliability is there in these new models.... they most certainly will blow the Japanese luxury brands out of the water!
Hi, to be honest, I have not heard about GV80's problems in Korea, but I will research this. What I do know is that Genesis has made it to the top of JD Power's 2020 reliability rating.
I purchased a 2019 Genesis G70 April 2019. I currently have over 42k miles on it. I only had two problems, #01 At 42k miles, I no longer get free maintenance. #02 rear view mirror needed to be tightened, taken care of during 42k scheduled maintenance. Other than above mentioned, no problems.

I gotta say Genesis has made major changes between 2019 and 2020. It looks very nice
Yeah. They've got a beautiful lineup this year
Can Genesis beat German and Japanese competitors in the premium segment? Share your thoughts in the comments!
GENESIS G70, GENESIS GV80, GENESIS GV70 are my favorite cars.
Yes
no doubt! all the genesis lineups are in another level.
The G90 has a 3.3 liter V6 turbo, not 3.6
Hi. Sorry about that. I made a typo
I'm on my third Genesis right now (G90 Ultimate) and will stay with the brand as long as they keep putting out top quality vehicles!
Thanks for sharing. Which Genesis cars did you have before the G90?
GV70 will be my next car. I can't wait!
It would be nice to see a 2 door coupe version of the new G70.
Yeah. That sounds good. I heard they Are working on a wagon version of the G70

The Genesis GV80 is the best. The SUV is really beautiful.

@@AutomotiveTerritoryDailyNews yes, I believe it will, most especially in the Korean market
Looking forward to the GV70 as an upgrade from 2015 Genesis.

I am pretty sure that g70 design is for the 2022 release
2021 in South Korea and 2022 in North America.
Why would anyone pay 20-30k more for other brands when Genesis not only looks better, but gives you way more for the money?
I would definitely go for Genesis 😉
The G70 looks amazing...
Agree. Thanks for watching!
Have they solved the problem with cam wear?
nice lineup..
Agree. Genesis is getting better and better

I bet Genesis would be over the moon about this comparison 👍

Hi. Yes it is. It is their premium brand
