You can go ahead and strip the paint off then add your own finish, but frankly all I do is take a fine sanding block/sponge and buff the shine off. Looks great then. I've had my trail hawk for several years now and it still looks great.

Angle grinder and a Tiger Paw attachments works wonders brother. You if you do this kinda stuff for a hobby I suggest picking some up. Looks good thanks for the video.
