Awesome shelling here ➡ • Where To Shell In Flor...
Okaloosa Island is a small barrier island located off the coast of Florida. Known for its pristine beaches, emerald-green waters, and laid-back atmosphere, visitors can enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, from sunbathing and swimming to fishing and water sports. The island is home to several parks, nature trails, and wildlife preserves, providing ample opportunities for nature enthusiasts to explore the local flora and fauna. Foodies can indulge in fresh seafood and local cuisine at the island's restaurants and bars. Okaloosa Island offers the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure, making it an ideal destination for families, couples, and solo travelers alike.
Everyday is different. One day there will be shells all over, then the next you only find shells on the dry sand. Some say shelling is 100% random and I say it's knowing the area, watching the weather and surf forecast, and putting in the time 'n effort. Come along and let's see if there are any shells on the beach.

Nice video. Nice lime green shoe laces. They look newer than your shoes, lol.👍

Good morning, when I was running marathons my favorite shoe was an Asics; you just can't throw away a good shoe. So people use their favorite shoes for mowing the lawn, walking around the neighborhood, or in my case, for shelling when it's cold. Have a great day 😁🌴 .

How close to the beach do you live? How often do you go out shelling?

BBD, what do you do with all those sweet little sand dollars? So tiny!! Love that first beautiful egg cockle. I have got to find more of the egg cockles this summer. I'm obsessed with them.

Good morning Freda, Hope your day is going well. Regarding use, last week I gave way a whole bunch to a friend for her to use in her crafts. Have a great day.

Do you ever take the doves out of the pieces of sand dollars you find?

I’m just curious where you find the un-raked & un-trampled sand on okaloosa! 🤣 I found one area…. but they were writing tickets if you crossed the line into it! 😢

Thanks for watching . IDK about untrampled as this area is pretty popular, however, there are definitely fewer people in the winter and on some days you'll see very few people.

I've spent most of my shelling on NC coasts and have never found a whole Bonnie. Weird right? Since it's the state shell. Lots of other goodies though. Recently spent a week at the beach and was so interesting what you find. One day so many olives.slippers, baby ears, augers... The usual... Next day nothing, next day limpets and wentletrap! Happy trip!

Please stop it with the big giant word/narration. Very distracting to watching the beach with you.

Hi Judy, thanks for watching. Just got back from the beach and saw this . A lot of people either watch videos in mixed company and turn the audio off or are hard of hearing so it's common to see captions across the UA-cam platform. However, out of the 700 plus videos on this channel probably less than 10% have captions. Again, thanks for watching and I hope you have a great day.

@@BeachBumminDad I agree with Judy. Big letters are very distracting when trying to see the shells.
