    I live in a basement apartment in my son's house so of course there is no stove or oven. I have an Oster hot plate 900w that barely boils water...not knowing they come with different wattages. Then got a Cusimax with 1500w. I didn't buy an induction one because I wanted to be able to use any pan I have and my SS aren't magnetic...so from what you said they won't work. I guess what I'm getting at is a video on hot plates might be nice. A non-warping non-stick pan like the Ninja is now on my wish list!

    I would really like to see how it performs on a gas stove. I've cooked with gas and electric and no matter the cook ware they perform drastically different. If you get a chance to try it on a gas stove please share results with us. I'm interested in the pan especially knowing it's free of all those nasty chemicals most non stick have.

    It's great that the plan tested so well! But, the real test will be how they last over time and how easy the surface gets damaged over time. Glad it worked out so well. I have one non stick pan that has some minor scratches and doesn't work so well any more. I'll likely get the ninja pan to replace it!

    As a Southern gal, it’s in my blood to use cast iron skillets. However, I did get one of those copper pans years ago that sorta is non stick. This, however, seems better so I might get one. Personally, though, I’m eyeing the Ninja Foodi air frier-instant pressure cooker.

    Great review, but I also agree with a couple of the other commentaries that I’d like to see a revisit in about 3 to 5 months to see how well the nonstick syrface has held up. Hi Steve! I had the amazing opportunity to test and review their 10 piece pot and pan set last year. I love my Ninja pots and pans! They are still doing well, but I also baby them with square pads that I cut from the Rubbermaid shelf liner rolls and place in-between each pan or pot. I'd never even heard of the Ninja Foodi NeverStick pans, but because of this review I ordered the 10" & 8" stainless set from Amazon.
    They arrived 2days ago & they are fantastic.

    • @LeanBodyMind
      @LeanBodyMind  3 роки тому

      It doesn't require seasoning. I think how long it takes to get it evenly heated will depend on the heat source and temperature you're shooting for. It heats up VERY fast on an induction plate. I would expect the same for gas. I think on electric or glasstop, it would take a bit longer, but when it gets to temp that it would be more even. That's just my hypothesis, though.

    Should I have to take the pans temp plus the egg? I want to whip out a good fry pan and cook an egg. Not sure I would buy it for the dry non stick reason. Thank you testing this pan

    • @LeanBodyMind
      @LeanBodyMind  3 роки тому +2

      I test the temp on a pan/skillet any time I'm doing eggs or steak, because I care about the impact of the temp on the finished product. My personal preference is to cook with some sort of oil or butter at a lower temp on eggs (270-280F) because I like them delicate.
      With steak, I'll likely stick with cast iron, just because I like to sear at around 700F if I cooked the steaks sous vide. That way I can get a crusty sear without over cooking the interior. If I weren't finishing a sous vide steak, but rather cooking as I did in this video, the Ninja does a very good job at 500F.

    I bought the baby hexclad skillet and I have yet to get a nice scrambled egg. You have to cook eggs at very low temp and they will stick if you use butter, but not if you use pam. For such expensive cookware, I am not impressed. It cooked meat better than it did the eggs.

    • @LeanBodyMind

      The scrambled eggs I did in the Ninja cooked up beautifully without oil, butter or spray. I’d still use butter though, because butter is wonderful.
