This is an absolute gem! The duo is at their collective peak here. The Patiala style really comes through in the _vilambit laehkaari_ , with Ustad Amanat Ali going in the higher octaves and Ustad Fateh Ali focussing on the _kharraj_ . The saarangi is beautifully played as well, but it doesn't seem to be Ustad Nazim Ali Khan who would have taken it to another level altogether. Thanks a million for uploading this.
Only the master of masters can put up such a sublime vilambit khayal. And the brother duo must be relatively young then. Eagerly looking forward to part 2 sir.
Wow zabardast, what a gem of Malkauns by the Pakistani duo. I really love Ustd Amanat Ali’s golden and beautiful voice especially when he reaches the high notes and his spaat taans are like stars and Ust FAK is powerful in lower notes and gamak tans. Thanks a ton🙏🏼👍🏼
A very smooth usage of notes focussing on flow of totality of raga malkauns as it rarely allows singers to keep straight while singing improvising is very difficult with effortless continuity. A real mastrey can help achieve this perfection. Thanks this rare recording.. 💓🧡💛💚💙💜💓
So true. Nazakat/Salamat duo have few violin accompaniments but not this pair. They have many harmonium accompaniments instead. (evident in later part of part 2)
Saarangi really goes well with the Patiala style, which is a bit lulled and - for the lack of a better word - elastic. I feel a violin would have sounded too shallow and "jabby" in comparison and unable to keep with the vocal range of these maestros.
Raju ji , Namaskar ! As per the pic it looks like Pandit VG Jog ji on Violin . And it's not Sarangi , It's Violin on accompaniment. Very elaborate Malkauns and rare recording of Duo BROTHERS of Patiala Gharana. Plz note it's in Benaras and thats why so much effort. Famous Amanat Ali & Fateh Ali. Jai Bharat 🙏
