So, I just happened to start watching your build of the Mustang yesterday. When I got to the episode where you talk about completing your 12th infusion after your Melanoma scare.... I stopped and looked around the room to see if I was getting punked. You see, I was sitting in the infusion room for my first round immunotherapy to treat my Melanoma. I had a lesion removed from my back thinking nothing of it till I received a phone call from the PA in a nervous voice told me I had Melanoma, likely stage 4B... My world started to spin. More digging in my back, 35 staples, PET scans, blood work, lymph node biopsy's. All said and done it turned out to be stage 2A. So here I am, infusion 1 of 12 watching your Mustang build. Small world, Hope your health remains great and as for the Mustang.... A is for Awesome. Richard
as a fellow red beard and a guy who has multible scars on my back and ass from removed melanoma i was quiet pissed that he was sunburned through the sema show. almost screamed at the monitor put on s u n s c r e e n. haven t you learned nothing!!!!! but hey wish you the best and you both will be free from that shit soon. greetings from germany
ya, Oscar is a bonified badass! the skillsets on that kid are pretty extensive! He could go anywhere and do anything he wants but B is for Build must be an amazing employer for him to stay around for this long!
Not to single out any of your crew, but with all the labour that you all do, that would save you an absolute fortune! Oscar is a beast-fab guy, and deserves all the kudos in the world! Love the channel...always following!
Thanks for the update, thought maybe your health took a turn for the worst, but glad the absence was only due to shop moving etc. 44k for that Mustang is pretty cheap all things considering, I guess that's just the materials and parts, and doesn't factor in labor. Add another 100k on top for labor, and maybe more for shop floor rent and utilities etc. That's a 150-200k build easy if all things were added.
It's funny to see the whole compilation. Lately the video's on this car were about this amazing body kit on a mustang, almost thinking of it as a normal mustang. I pretty much forgot where the car came from as a movie car. For sure my favorite B is for Build build so far and in my top list of all time youtube builds that I've seen.
I think a Ford Voodoo swap would really compliment this build. The higher revving engine and higher pitched engine sound would go perfectly with the exotic nature of the car. It would also be a nice change of pace for us, and a new challenge for you all!
I have always thought the voodoo with ITBs would be the "end all, be all" engine for this, but also I think voodoos go for around 20k on ebay and the ITB setup would be 10k ish. It'd be expensive, but very cool. The LS is a great platform and already designed for the chassis, so it'd take some questionable justification to convice yourself to pull the trigger probably.
Do yourself a favor and start your next SEMA build ASAP so that next year you don’t have to rush and push it into its spot😂 awesome car can’t imagine what it would have been if you would have had the time you really should have had to finish it! Push out a solid build gem please you guys have the talent stop rushing yourselves
The story about the improved OG shop is so B is for Build style. Have an idea and go for it with minimal research and then have to do a bunch of extra work. But it's entertaining to watch and part of your charm
Oscar built this car!! He has built many. Just like in a most company's take from the employees and call it there own. An idea is nothing if you can't execute!!
You know, I'm a real fab kind of guy and I truly appreciate this build and how amazing it is. But when my 19 year old son who has no idea what it takes to do something like this, says that's the coolest car he has ever seen. Well that says it all. I've watched every video on this build and think my son is right. Cheers R...
What a great video, really like the way this is a highlights reel type presentation of the whole build! There's just so much in cutting, fabrication, precise measuring to make all of these pieces fit together. Nice to see it take on more shape as each step is completed. Please do this again with all of future builds!
May '02 kit car magazine had a '67 fastback body on a tube chassis and I forgot who made the body, but it was all glass and looked like it was made for IMSA racing. Absolutely perfect proportions, I think it was auctioned at Mecum awhile back, it was an actual racecar though, yet registered and insured for when you wanted to be the center of attention at a car show.
i mean, i feel like that $44k is WAY off. I didn't see a single mention of shop supplies or donor materials like sheet metal and bondo. Also no man hours were mentioned and I'm pretty sure you pay your employees
@@chonkyhonky1887 but that's what people want to know when they want to know the cost of a build. "If I were to have this built, how much would it cost me?". He should have at least mentioned how many labor hours it took, if not the cost of it
I thought the body construction techniques and the master stroke of using a wrap, (instead of the hassle of a paint booth, dust and overspray etc) was very impressive. These boys are skilled.
That is a great price to build a car like that for, if you think of the average going rate for custom work at $100-$150 an hour times the amount of hours that are into the build... My guess is that the car would be $100,000+ for any ole someone to have it built.
Love the build. I just feel it could be a bit better if the rear wheel arches could have been taken in just an inch or so. It looks slightly too wide. Also the side skirts could have been a bit chonkier or done in white instead as again the middle bit seems a bit too narrow like it's wearing a corset
Eealistically id guess youd have to spend around double or at least 30k more to actually completely build it. if you have the tools you save a ton of money ofcourse and similarly you save a bunch if you get a steal on a chassis like this. Not to discredit you guys at all. You did a phenomenal job at this car and except for some nitpicks i love how it looks and functions.
With all the available warehouse and shop space available in the area you were in it's kind of hard to believe you couldn't find another spot besides that Portland trying to drum all manufacturing out of the city limits with the homeless issue in that area as well the company I work for was a sheet metal sided building and they were taking the screws out of the wall to break into the building
I have been following the ‘stingstang’ build since you started but the opening montage was GREAT! SO MUCH WORK….its great to see a vision come to life and be completed. …. And why didn’t you move to the country…..where the ‘man’ can’t harass you so much….
You can probably tack on another $3,000 for all the shop materials you didn't account for (sheet metal, bondo, rust paint, nuts and bolts, etc). Incredible, incredible job. Stunning car, amazing worksmanship.
Great build. I love what you did. I could care less about the mustang purists getting upset. They say the same thing for every Porsche RWBs, but we dont care. We love the wide body. We love the modifications. We love the uniqueness. To have a one of a kind that didn’t come from a factory… that is worth bragging about. You earned that subscription and like.
Ha! I feel your pain. I got detached garage built in 2019 and that was a whole circus too. All kinds of permissions, variances, approvals, town meetings, stamped drawings and stuff not to mention all the different kinds of contractors. I'm glad I did it but I'm not sure I'd do it again. ;-)
Since you are not really a retail business I would look at buying land out in the country. That works here in the South. I don't know what the rules and laws you have there but here as you get away from the city the easier it is to do whatever you need to do.
always excuses, most of the builds don't function well, and you only tolerate ppl that act like cheerleaders for your channel. Oscar & Kyle are good tho
Great to see the entire build in time lapse!! Amazing build, as well! I feel your pain about the shops, and space, impossible where i am, as well...keep the faith!!

Not bad for that total car turned out super great and im sure someone out there is willing to pay alot more for this. Still you guys are all doing great. Can't wait to see whats next and boat update csr updates and shop updates keep doing what you guys are doing
Are you planning to sell those wide fenders to anyone who wants to build wide body mustang but don’t have time or skills to build those fenders? That’s awesome project!
OK,44K appears to be a bit conservative on parts alone, I dare not ask about the labor cost, seeing that all said and done it will determine in the end the actual cost of any project, ei a billet oil pump gear and sprocket for a 2017 Mustang GT 5.0 is about $ 300.00, the labor is a low $1000.00. just saying, that aside it is a very nice project.
I just read an article "Court rules against copyright protection for Eleanor; could other movie cars be next?". Sounds like if you want to pursue making an Eleanor, you are now legally free to do so. I hope you do. You deserve it.
Absolutely amazing build!!! I am starting to build a 1967 mustang (rear engine). Nothing like yours. What chassis did you go with or do you recommend for a rear engine build?
Had to come back and comment the Shelby estate won the lawsuit and Eleonor is no longer copyright protected people can make the car now without fear of losing them!!!
Anyone else hear about the recent overruling of Denice Halicki's copyright on the Eleanor stuff? B is for build might be able to get the car back and finish it, or at least relist the old build series!
Everyone who looks at this car will feel the excitement, thats the best build for the buck I ever seen, this wat it's all about boys, sorry bout the shop dilemma guys that's crazy

Not in a millennium did that only cost 44k. Metal is free, and so are electrics, also welding supplies and fibre glass….

I think with Oscar involved it probably cost closer to 100k
Whoever that guy is working in 95%of the video deserves a lot of love. He did almost everything
