Take it from someone who owns the game. The graphics are amazing, not something a youtube video could recreate. The visuals are truly a tasty eye candy. The multiplayer is VERY fun, there are no vehicles, the maps are smaller, but that doesn't really change anything because the maps are all mostly awesome, the weapons are balanced well, and you can fit up to 24 players on a map (which is a little too many). I would definitely recommend this. And please don't compare it to TitanFall, there both completely different games in their own right, and besides, who gives a dry shit? Planetside 2 is coming to the PS4.
IMO this Killzone is the best shooter made so far ... the multiplayer gameplay is great, the single player campaign is great ... grafics are BRUTAL ... yhea ;3
I hope people know that UA-cam maxes at 30fps so we can't even tell 60fps on these videos. You have to actually play the game or see it in real life to see
why are people so critical of launch titles? THEYRE LAUNCH TITLES, the developers hardly really even know the new systems theyre working with, and it applies to both ps4 and xbox one, if you can all think back to ps3 and 360 launch titles, they looked like shit compared to the titles that those systems released in the following years, thats whats wrong with gamers today, theyre impatient and dont understand the intricacies and work that go into making games and transferring consoles, launch titles are practically glorified tech demos which is why i never buy consoles at launch, but these games are still interesting because it shows wshat the systems are capable of and the potential to be tapped into, use some common sense people, titanfall, killzone, etc are all good looking games that basically just show the power now available in console form, of course its not going to be flawless and of course theyre not going to be the immaculate next gen titles we're looking forward to, you all shouldve know what you were getting into when buying a launch title, and if not, then youre just a hype train rider who just bought the new consoles to feel cool, be patient and soon you will get the next gen titles that made this new gen so promising, until then you can either not buy the games/consoles if youre so dissatisfied, or enjoy the launch titles for what they are and look forward to the future of these consoles, rant over

this looks like your average run and gun sci-fi shooter, I can't believe this is sony's go to game to promote. Besides the console itself, PS4 has no extra features to go along with it besides it's price. The main reason I am getting an Xbox One is because that is what everyone I personally know is going to buy. I also prefer the xbox controller and the voice commands sound promising.
This game isn't bad, if anything it really shows what the ps4 is capable of, while i agree it's pretty average, it's a nice go to game when you first buy the system, a few years from now it won't be talked about much, but for now it does it's job while we wait for the actual sony exclusives to jump on board, personally I can't wait for infamous second son, but I hope you have a good time with your Xbox one, while I personally am not interested in it, I'll give credit where credit's due, for now, it does have better games, and honestly had one of the best launch lineups in years, then again, that's not saying much
yea the PS4 is far more powerful but I personally prefer the xbox one. killzone looks great graphically but I bet it uses way less power than Battlefield 4. Although that isn't an exclusive. If I had a PS4 I would get this game since it looks & plays great but sony is acting like it is the best game of the year. But i suppose micro$oft is doing the same with titan fall. TF looks like call of duty so yea killzone is far better graphically compared to that. But TF has a lot more to offer with the jet packs and titans. one of the central focuses of the multiplayer is customization. players can opt to remove the shield from the warzone. you can build you own custom multiplayer matches with whatever you want or don't want in it. you could take out all the abilities if you wanted to

Titanfall has free running, you can get up high and run across walls etc. I love Killzone but is having better graphics good enough for a next gen title?
So, I downloaded the video on the Killzone website because they kept saying online videos in no way could show how pretty the game actually looks. I was blown away. Its gorgeous. UA-cam just makes the game look less pretty.
I preordered the xb1 and was going to get the ps4 later. This game is the reason I've preordered a ps4 aswell. I haven't had a playstation since ps1 so I'm so very excited to play all the game franchises I've never played before (god of war, infamous, killzone, uncharted etc)

I think the best think about Halo is the lore. The setting, characters, and backgrounds of the Halo games are what made it great. I really don't think the gameplay is all that special and I feel that can be seen with Halo 4.
Last of all, Halo is just a classic game. I can understand someone being accustomed to Playstation and automatically saying Halo isn't all that. But after as someone who has always played it. it's just incredible. Halo has had comics, novels, toys, costumes, clothing, a web series, an upcoming Tv show, and way better sales. And this is the part where you say sales don't matter. And then I say, "what about the reviews and awards given by over 100 proffesional critics?".
battlefield 4. looks way better. Way more expansive, up to 64 players. Just overall better gameplay. Trust me, KZ pales in comparison to BF4. Of course, this is just the MP side of things. havent played SP.
people play COD because its fast pace. that's its appeal MattressOnfire. I used to love it because of that. I don't play anymore cause the game play got old. But its still fast pace fun. and what you described, like the kill cam and everything. that's why millions of people play it. Once BF3 came out I jumped ship. but there are still a MILLION other people that like it. We can't deny those numbers. I don't want to play a slow game like Kill zone. It'll take anyone awhile to get across the map

They said it's going to run at 60 FPS most of the time. That makes me happier than you could ever imagine. Definitely getting a PS4 in addition to my PC. :D
Wow! This game look absolutely amazing! The graphics are perfected to an absolute 1080p and it runs at 60 Frames Per Second. I can't wait till it finally gets released :D.

Ps plus is like xbox live (gold membership) and psn account is like xbox live (free version that you can't play online) so they are doing what xbox is doing

Its crazy how much potential this game has but the devs never fully bring there a-game... Ive purchased and played every killzone and im just never fully satisfied. but every single game gets better graphically and the guns on shadow fall are fucking amazing!
I can not wait for this! I loved KZ2 multi and KZ3 was so-so. CoD and BF do nothing for me. I love the ISA and Helghast! It is nice to see all the maps aren't sunshine and green pastures, I loved the color palette of KZ2. As always awesome audio. Some of those gun sounds are just straight up sexy.
Can someone here answer me some questions? I was always a PC gamer but lately my PC ain't running so good and the games( even some older ones) start to have framerate issues. I tought about diving into next gen but this time I would do it on a console. I choose the PS4 because to me it's more beneficial from a gaming,technical and finacial point of view.However PS+ membership is needed to play online. I would like to not purchase it momentarily since I'll most likely not be able to pay every year for the mebership. Purchasing the console would be tough enough not the mention the price for games will go down slower. And then there are non gaming related finacial issues. So I've got a few questions: 1. Can I play the singleplayer campaign without PS+? 2. Can you play offline mode with bots in KZ:SF( or any other game with bots for that matter) without PS+? 3. Are there any other features that might bring my gaming experience down if I don't pruchase the PS+ membership? Thanks! ( in advance for anyone who might answer these questions) and sorry for writing more that I needed to.
I'm the same, love Halo and getting PS4. I'm going to get good at Killzone, but don't expect it to be a good game until I can beast people, like I can on halo. Many people have said it's hard to get into, but once you're good at killzone it's fun as hell.
When I played KZ2 or 3, I was always like, run and gun, Minding my own business and such, but you can play as a team, in game modes similar to capture the flag. And the game can get pretty chaotic, which is very fun.
If you are buying a PS4 then support the first party exclusives. EA will nickle and dime you with BF4. Dlc announced before the game is out, premium, micro transactions etc. DLC on Killzone will be free and it generally looks like a much crisper experience.
So glad there's no xp levelling up in MP... doing challenges instead is definitely more rewarding. any noob with too much time on their hands can gain XP. This is why I preordered killzone shadowfall.

This is UA-cam, You might have to play it yourself to see how good it really looks and actually plays. From what I have seen, it is a big improvement from games on the 360 and PS3
You've obviously never played Killzone if you're calling it clunky. The added weight, heaviness of the guns and gameplay style is something core to a Killzone game, which I personally enjoy. It's how it stands out instead of being an easy as fuck arcade FPS like CoD.
All these comments about comparing KZ: Shadowfall and TitanFall are ridiculous. They're two very different games. I am pleasantly surprised to see this running so smoothly in tandem with the stunning graphical display. Shooters are shooters, and I plan on getting this at launch alongside both CoD Ghosts and BF4 for the sake of having variety. Will also be picking up AC IV and some indie games to offset the surplus of shooters lol Next Friday can't come soon enough. One week, guys. One... Week...

The ONLY thing I think killzone is missing is vocal chatter...all you get are gun sounds (which sound great) but battle call outs and such would be the icing on the cake....I love how crysis did it

That barrier you can shoot through but the enemy can't looks like the biggest cheat code...
You can shoot through it, you just need a high powered weapon. And I'm sure that they're are other balancing factors for the shield as well.
you can blow the shield up with missiles and grenades. also you can throw a grenade behind it and kill the enemies behind the shield.

I'm between this and BF4. Seeing this makes it clear why people say you die too fast in COD Ghost. In this game you actually have a lengthy battle.
do you need ps plus to play online or just psn because you already own the game you should be able to play online ...whats the point of a ps plus account?
Ps plus is like xbox live (gold membership) and psn account is like xbox live (free version that you can't play online) so they are doing what xbox is doing
Honestly Killzone is a really good game and i believe that it will show B4 & COD: Ghost that their's a new Fast Pace Mulitiplayer game in the mix now :D

I really like the weapon variety and design though, good halfway point between modern day and next-gen.
Its crazy how much potential this game has but the devs never fully bring there a-game... Ive purchased and played every killzone and im just never fully satisfied. but every single game gets better graphically and the guns on shadow fall are fucking amazing!

I can not wait for this! I loved KZ2 multi and KZ3 was so-so. CoD and BF do nothing for me. I love the ISA and Helghast! It is nice to see all the maps aren't sunshine and green pastures, I loved the color palette of KZ2. As always awesome audio. Some of those gun sounds are just straight up sexy.

The graphics look really nice and colorful. Definitely a good launch game to show off playstation's prowess.
Can someone here answer me some questions? I was always a PC gamer but lately my PC ain't running so good and the games( even some older ones) start to have framerate issues. I tought about diving into next gen but this time I would do it on a console. I choose the PS4 because to me it's more beneficial from a gaming,technical and finacial point of view.However PS+ membership is needed to play online. I would like to not purchase it momentarily since I'll most likely not be able to pay every year for the mebership. Purchasing the console would be tough enough not the mention the price for games will go down slower. And then there are non gaming related finacial issues. So I've got a few questions:
1. Can I play the singleplayer campaign without PS+?
2. Can you play offline mode with bots in KZ:SF( or any other game with bots for that matter) without PS+?
3. Are there any other features that might bring my gaming experience down if I don't pruchase the PS+ membership?

I'm the same, love Halo and getting PS4. I'm going to get good at Killzone, but don't expect it to be a good game until I can beast people, like I can on halo. Many people have said it's hard to get into, but once you're good at killzone it's fun as hell.

is this game more fast paced similar to cod or is it more team based like battlefield?
When I played KZ2 or 3, I was always like, run and gun, Minding my own business and such, but you can play as a team, in game modes similar to capture the flag. And the game can get pretty chaotic, which is very fun.

If you are buying a PS4 then support the first party exclusives. EA will nickle and dime you with BF4. Dlc announced before the game is out, premium, micro transactions etc. DLC on Killzone will be free and it generally looks like a much crisper experience.

So glad there's no xp levelling up in MP... doing challenges instead is definitely more rewarding. any noob with too much time on their hands can gain XP. This is why I preordered killzone shadowfall.
KZ2 was fantastic online. KZ3 was hit or miss. This looks really good.
I love how I can switch from fast pace destructive battlefield to futuristic colorful killzone shadow fall and get a way different experience
the most amazing part of this game isn't the amazing graphics or stunning particle count capabilities. it's the fact that guys... this is the beggining. these are the first waves of games on the new mega giant systems. this is only the beggining of what we're going to see and it's still AMAZING looking. does anyone remember the games in the beggining of the ps3? HORRIBLE. this? all the games already for the ps4 and xbone... just shocks me you guys already knock it..

never played a killzone game... I'm interisted in this because I'm just tired of COD and Battlefield, i need a new FPS that is just different from those two. Is this a good choice? it looks really fun!
If BF4 is a laggy bugged mess when the PS4 drops, this will definitely be my saving grace. Havent played a Killzone since the PS2 though lol
This is UA-cam, You might have to play it yourself to see how good it really looks and actually plays. From what I have seen, it is a big improvement from games on the 360 and PS3

The guns in this game look amazing.
You've obviously never played Killzone if you're calling it clunky. The added weight, heaviness of the guns and gameplay style is something core to a Killzone game, which I personally enjoy. It's how it stands out instead of being an easy as fuck arcade FPS like CoD.
All these comments about comparing KZ: Shadowfall and TitanFall are ridiculous. They're two very different games. I am pleasantly surprised to see this running so smoothly in tandem with the stunning graphical display. Shooters are shooters, and I plan on getting this at launch alongside both CoD Ghosts and BF4 for the sake of having variety. Will also be picking up AC IV and some indie games to offset the surplus of shooters lol

Is multiplayer limited to standard bullet type weapons? because i want that energy rifle that charges up for high power shots, the one in singleplayer.

Titanfall is Titanfall, which is also coming to PS4, 6 months later. This is called Killzone.
Ive loved KZ ever since KZ2 on the PS3. The last one was fun but this looks like its on a whole nother level.
The ONLY thing I think killzone is missing is vocal chatter...all you get are gun sounds (which sound great) but battle call outs and such would be the icing on the cake....I love how crysis did it
