Actually it's pretty useless for modern machine tool teachers as well, round balls are way more perfect and precise with CNC than radius cutters, turning bearings is foolish, just buy the right size. 3mm is a very light cut for a rigid machine with decent tooling, carbide insert holders that fully encapsulate the rear of the insets took over decades ago this is all like 1950s basics. But let's face it he is just making content...
What liquid are you using to harden your tooling. Is it saltwater ??? What grade of tool steel are you using when you make your tooling. You have great videos
Genius? Let us see... 1. Ball turning - yeah, right. What next? Drilling, huh? Genius, genius indeed... 2. Grinding on a lathe - yeah, no one ever - NEVER EVER! did that. BTW, I wonder what these "tool post grinding attachment tools" are used for... 3. And this is, Ladies and Gentlemen, what Germans used to describe as "warum einfach, wenn's auch kompliziert geht", or "why make is simple if we can make it complicated" t we can make it complicated (hold the bearing directly in the chuck, for eff's sake, if you want to turn only half of its OD!). 4.WTF?! So you can make your own insert holder? Or rather a "holder"? Beam me up, Scotty... 5. Like... what is supposed to be "genius here"? A spade drill? Quenching? Drilling? No, srsly? 6. Making your own button insert which will wear (or get blunt) in no time flat. Brilliant, brilliant indeed. I mean, yes, in a pinch a "will do" solution. NOTHING "genial" about it, just run of the mill stuff. 7. Yes, one can make his own shop-made tools. Yawn... 8. Self-made burnishing tool. Next - a kitchen knife made of used hacksaw blade, I suppose...? 9. Apparently, someone here has a difficulty counting to TEN... Thumb down, "don't recommend channel". Nothing personal, strictly "teaching the algorithm" (not to recommend such nonsense).
I am sure biology teachers would really benefit from knowing this.

Last one is amazing!

You have just been rated 10+❤
The last one was really clever, most of the other ones were more like things you do when bored, not things teachers should be teaching!
This was one of my favorites, Lot of great ideas!
You heat it but in what do you cool them?
Normal home salt water
Why would you turn a bearing down ?
Rough wood carpentry on an engine lathe.
Genius is a gross exaggeration. They may have been innovative 200 years ago but not now.
