The Oilers kept the Canucks shots low because they didn’t give them the blue line and if they made it in there it was mostly on the walls.
They're not gonna be able to do that with Dallas

29 and 97 have more playoff points than Dallas' top 2 lines combined. But ok.
Dallas will be the first time they run into a true #1 Goalie tho.
You played the kings and a depleted Canucks team with their 3rd goalie. Congrats lol. It's not basketball, 2 players can't carry you through an entire series. 97 and 29 are the two best players in the series. Outside that, Dallas is the better team with the better goalie and deeper team.

I think you're under estimating the shutdown abilities of Heiskanen and Tanev. MacKinnon only had 2G 3A in 6 games, and the "mighty Avs offense" went from nearly 6G per game in round 1 to only scoring 2.5G per game against the Stars. So if that trend continues we can expect around 1.5G per game from the Oilers (this is a joke, but would be nice).
Additionally, the Stars have always done an excellent job of shutting down McDavid and Draisaitl, and now that McDavid is nursing an injury there's not much of a chance they take over games. I'm not saying they'll go scoreless, but they'll definitely need help from the depth, and I don't think it's coming from Perry, McLeod or Janmark or the like.
I am however terrified of Bouchard who has been MILES better than Makar this year and should definitely have been in the Norris conversation over Makar. But so should Ekholm, Fox, Morrissey, Heiskanen. Hell, I'd even put Doughty above how Makar played this year. It sucks when trophies get turned into popularity contests.
People should definitely not be sleeping on the Oilers top pair D, those guys have been insanely good this year.
How many McDavid and Draisaitl's does Dallas have? That's right ZERO! Nobody knows whos going to win, That's why they play trhe games! Fla and the Rangers are also very capable of beating anybody!
@@karlheinzvonkroemann2217 That's their strength though, they are not a top heavy team with mega stars like 97 and 29, but a lot of very good to pretty good players.
Skinner is there main issue, if they keep skinner in net against Dallas they have no hope.
I think Pickard is a better choice.

Oilers are good , and Dallas has depth . GL to the Oilers is all I can say .

As for the shots it’s tough to shoot when you can’t hold onto the puck against a team made of 20 forwards.

I think the Oilers have no chance against Dallas. They have 4 lines, a solid d and Ottinger in the nets. Micdavid is only 1 person carrying that team on his back, shut him down and it's series over fairly quick. I got Dallas in 5, let's keep the cup in the USA, USA, USA.
McDavid hasn't even been Edmontons best player it's been Draisaitl and Edmonton is not a two man team they have depth still think stars are taking it tho

Silvos was the #1 goalie, couldnt of asked for better performance. i dont think Demko would have changed the series. If anything, Edmonton would've probably won in 5 or 6
He was the world's number 1 and MVP, that is bit better than a club #1 goalie.

the oilers torture themselves and their fans by putting him in the net. no way we can even get close to the cup unless he is benched for good. he basically guarantees 2 free goals for the opposing team, one as long as someone can skate up to Skinner since he can't block a beach ball in a 1v1 fight and another free one soon after that because he freezes up from the pressure of messing up. best of luck to the oilers im rooting for them but Skinner is worse than awful.

If you don’t shoot you don’t score……no credit to oilers defence and structure, they stifled the canucks for 2.5 periods. These shows claim to know hockey but they actually don’t smh
So, Canucks just decided to only have 15 shots a game and the Oilers were lucky to win. Yeah, Oilers are 2 guys and no defense and no goalie (only goalie left with an actual shutout in the playoffs), but their defense and structure are so bad that a team only needs 15 shot in a game (to lose).
