super well done cormac!!!! im so happy to see this video finally come out!!! its extremely well made and the editing, presentation, commentary and humour was all fantastic, especially considering this like your first attempt at actually editing a video like this. hope to see way more content like this from you in the future! :)
Woah, thanks for doing a video on BFDIA 5b! I can't believe I didn't find this video until now. I've played the game a ton and didn't know things like the mountain and trees in the background being reused assets from the show! I've played the unused characters before and the comparisons of run speed and jump height were really cool.
I was just linked this video and found it pretty interesting! It's a shame there aren't more, but I'm sure they'd be a lot of work. All the weird movie clips off-screen in the first 3 Riddle School games were my way of recording event triggers that I frankly could have just used variables for, but I wasn't confident those would work because I wasn't great at programming. The lines above the music room in Riddle School 2 are coming from the point I used for the perspective drawing of the room. I don't tend to delete those, just in case I add anything more to the room. I forgot about the notes to myself in RS3. May Greg be forever content in the unconscious world.
Really cool to hear those insights and that you liked the video! I was initially going to show this video off to you and the other creators before it came out, but was too afraid what the reaction would've been to me looking through these game files lol
yo, really nice job with this video cormac!! that editing must've taken a painstaking amount of effort and time!! looking forward to future iterations of this!!
Yo, this is so good! I can see you've put so much effort and dedication to this. I'm looking foward to future episodes of this series, keep up the great work!
6:17 I think the eyedropper would select the block you use it on so you can use it again. Example: You have a red block selected, but your level uses purple blocks. Use the eyedropper on a purple block, and your selected block switches from the red block to the purple block.
The BFDIA 5b Editor's dropper tool was probably for selecting a block already on screen, like in most drawing applications. Also the "textie" thing isn't a function, it's the text box.
wich program are you using for edit or decompile these flash games? i have a decompiler but doesnt let me play the flashes on the program self for 0 reasons when the program worked offline and i already uninstall and install old flash version like jpex worked perfectly offline why i cant play them inside jpex? did fcking adobe added a virus for avoid flash programs works or something?
When Adobe shut down Flash Player, it effected JPEX because it was it's own browser. You're still able to export them to FLA files, and can export specific animation graphics as a GIF or FLA on it's own.
@@CornmacOlive it would be cool jpex give a option for use computer flash and not their own browser because doesnt work on all flashes and now you cant preview the whole flash inside program just daving and open swf file
WHO TF CARES THAT FLASH DOESN'T WORK FOR MOBILE, I WANT FLASH BACK, IT WAS STUPID TO THINK THAT HTML5 IS BETTER THAN FLASH, FLASH HAS IT'S OWN ORYGINALITY AND IS MUCH BETTER
@@SeleDreams that could probably be it, i'm not sure what way adobe air works with swfs. if it's a ssf file, you would probably need to export the contents individually as a swf in ffdec, then export those to fla. if it's not, the game probably has a security lock put into it. it's possible to break it (I forget how), but you can't export the entire thing as one file. contents need to be exported individually too. if these aren't it, i'd recommend trying a different game or different version of ffdec (12.0.0/12.0.1) to see if something is working correctly.
@@raspy9142 Try to close it with task manager and make sure the version you currently downloaded isn't a pre-release, it's stated they might not be stable. If the problem continues with the stable version i'm not sure how you can fix it, sorry.

How did you get the BFDIA 5b files?

I played the riddle school game is flashpoint and saw the secrete frames
Hei dude, how can I play as these other characters in 5b?
And If i need the swf file, do you know where I can download it?
how did you opened the file with assets? when i open the original file, it only has "loading" text.
Level 54 isn't complete its just named undefined
where can i watch survival?
What type of decompiler did you use in this video?
FFDEC (Free Flash Decompiler)
@@CornmacOlive Do you have a download link?
I don't know if it is official info, but from what i've heard at some point Tennis Ball, Golf Ball, and Pen were gonna be in 5b.

Is 5B a game?
This is really interesting!
An also thanks for explaining how to get fla files from swf files that really helped me
Honestly you probably don’t have to worry about flash player dying
It’s still way to popular to just kill it
@@smeltout8536 how do u get the swf files ??? Plz help
Does it works with Flashpoint? I'd be interested in getting sprites, assets and sounds from flash games.
You can drag SWF files from Flashpoint onto the decompiler by going inside the folder of the game

im currently modding box clever level pack rn
my friend has an collection of flash games

yeoooooooooo now we can edit _all_ of bfdia!

Also, this video is great! I think it’s so cool how you can show us how some of the secrets what we can’t see work
how did you get the decompiled game working in animate ? I tried to reverse a game to animate but it didn't work
FFDEC should be able to export it to FLA, it could also not work sometimes depending on the contents of the file and usually that's rare
@@CornmacOlive that's what i used but then in animate nothing appeared
it's maybe because it's an swf that uses adobe air
@@SeleDreams that could probably be it, i'm not sure what way adobe air works with swfs.
if it's a ssf file, you would probably need to export the contents individually as a swf in ffdec, then export those to fla.
if it's not, the game probably has a security lock put into it. it's possible to break it (I forget how), but you can't export the entire thing as one file. contents need to be exported individually too.
if these aren't it, i'd recommend trying a different game or different version of ffdec (12.0.0/12.0.1) to see if something is working correctly.

there is static on the screen when you change rooms in riddle school

I think the way you can make old flash games work are by using older versions of flash
They most likely have the ability to put the older versions offline, there's going to be a Windows update dedicated to removing them all from browsers
Theres newgrounds player tho, lets you use or play anything in newgrounds after 2020
thats neat
