I agree. I recently rewatched this season and it had more of the feel of the early seasons with Pam and Bobby back together at Southfork. It all fell apart and wasn't the same again with Pam not a part of things anymore. She was the link between the Ewing and Barnes families and without her, it never was the same. I think even an eventual recast would have worked better than what was written for Pam's exit and future seasons.
I'm assuming this was the final season starring Victoria Principal Deborah Shelton as Mandy Winger couldn't act her way out of a paper bag I remember reading years ago that, David Jacobs, the creator of the show put forward his ideas first into what turned out to be Knots Landing Apparently CBS wanted a more expensive show and so he created Dallas and then Knots Landing was given the green light His concept for Dallas was partly based on Romeo and Juliet, the lovers of the feuding Montague and Capulet families and Pam and Bobby were meant to be the breakout characters, but JR ended up being the main star of the series Once Victoria left the show it was never the same. Pam drove into an oil tanker, how on earth was she supposed to walk away from that? The credits for this season look as though there were budget cuts at Lorimar, compare it with the previous season Anyway, thank you for uploading this
Yes, this was Victoria’s last season. She, like the fans, saw a decline in the shows quality, and wanted out. Knots was created first, but CBS wanted something fancier, so Jacobs created DALLAS. Once Dallas became a hit in the 1979-80 season, they got the green light for Knots and decided to put Gary Ewing in it, figuring some Dallas fans might watch.
I' AM NOT SURE HOW THIS COULD BE "SEASON 10"?! AS VICTORIA PRINCIPAL LEFT THE SERIES IN SEASON 9! AND SUSAN HOWARD WAS APPARENTLY FIRED IN THE SAME YEAR?!
PATRICO DE SOUZA!!! Apparently CBS and Warner Bros. decided to go back and retroactively retitle the 1st five episodes (the five part miniseries) as season 1. So now that leads to all the other seasons being moved up by one. So officially, Dallas now ran 14 seasons instead of 13.
This was known as season 9, when it aired. When they released the DVDs, they renamed the seasons, calling the miniseries season 1, CBS season 1, DVD season 2, etc.
This was the last great season of Dallas, Bobby was back from the dead lol, 😅 thanks to pams dream & the most bizarre soap storyline of all time! Apart from fallons ufo abduction in the colbys! 😂 sadly Victoria principal left & Susan Howard too this season, then it really was the beginning of the end for Dallas! 😢
I love it so much ❤️
This was my show on Friday nights love the theme, intro too.
This season's theme intro music was the best.
Love the cast love the show😘
I forgot how big we wore shoulder pads back then. I loved them!
Not me! I always cut mine off LOL
I would like for all 14 seasons of DALLAS to become available to stream on the streaming service MAX in 2024.
Was this the final episode with VP in it?
The last great season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree. After Victoria Principal (Pam) left, the show became a shadow of its former self.

Ever since the first episode until the last episode of DALLAS how I used to be glued to the tv set to find out what type of scheme JR had underneath his dirty sleeve.
Please do give me thumbs up only if you did view this every single Friday night without fail. ©®

This would be the final season that I watched. When VP left it was over.

@@jaybaz67b30 The DVD boxsets bill the original mini-series as season one, which is why the original season nine has now become season ten.

@chr5210
Actually it is allowed.
This was the season they went to Lorimar telepictures, the video quality really went downhill, especially the opening.
Who could JR tick off next! :)
