The beginning part is what expresses the true meaning of fear in this movie. Only those who played the evil 😈 game 🎮 have experienced the horror within it as the jungle wrecks havoc in our world 🌎 till someone must finish what's started in the first place. That was the impact of Jumanji!
I don't think it's as evil as you think. It's much more profound then that. That's what makes it so great. :) (look at how Alan turned out if he didn't play the game, Food for though.)
It was pretty much a simliar impact with the Space game, Zathura. Its an evil 😈 game 🎮 too. It takes u into Outer Space & releases all space hazards & wreaks havoc in ur house 🏡 The players must finish what they start & return home safely. There was plenty of horror in Zathura as well. I made up a third evil 😈 game 🎮 called Catan. Its a board game themed on Ancient Egypt & releases all Egyptian hazards & wreaks havoc to the town. It does as much harm as Jumanji & Zathura.

At the part of 8:07, it's like that construction worker somehow knew what Allen was digging up and knew that game was in Allen's hands. However, if Allen knew what kind of dark world that game had I am certain that he would have thrown it away the second he found it. Be careful with junk that you might find. 6:34 the wonderful #asmr begins
Whether as a board game or a video game, either way, Jumanji is still dangerous.
Jumanji isn't just any game, it's the devil's game that will drive even the bravest of men and women mad to the brink of insanity.
5:20 poor Carl.
*"What if someone digs it up?"* What do you care? It'll be their problem, not your's.
Not exactly, the consequences are for everyone
@@dannyjorde2677 yes remember the stampede traumatized the city .....
@@justinpetergriffin1571That was so interesting to watch them film. 😁
2:33 Gary Joseph Thorup as Billy Jessup
I've always wondered how they filmed this as a kid. To this day I still don't know._.
Filmed September-November 1994 in New London,Connecticut.
@@plawson8577Not all of it. The opening sequence with Alan Parrish was filmed in Keene, NH. As were the animals stampeding through downtown. It was also filmed in Swanzey, NH and in Maine.
@@tracybosworth1033 All the Interiors were filmed in New London,CT in September/October '94. But Majority of the Film was shot in Keene,NH. Mainly all the Downtown and Exterior Scenes during November 1994.
The film starts in 1869.
@@thomasgrabowski2202 I don't follow. Can you explain a little further please?
Alan bought cursed game to home..
@@SUNFlower-tt9zvHe didn't know it was cursed. Alan was just a boy at the time.
It's my childhood.
That statue at around 2:22, is that supposed to be foreshadowing of some kind where that's the same huntsman that's after Robin Williams later in the movie?
The statue is of his Grandfather, Angus Parish, whose sword he uses to cut the vine of the giant yellow pod plant. "Sorry Angus... Harvest Time!"
@@brent8450 oh okay thanks
I guess it just looked like Van Pelt
Van Pelt is played by the Sam actor that plays Alan’s father. Family resemblance??
How does the game have modern designs being over 140+ years old.

I believe the 1994 film of Little Women ends in the year of 1868.
Civil war story
That's right.
The 1860s were the Darkest Decade of the 19th Century.
Form of Transport by Iron Rail.
Railways were at their most dangerous lifes.
Even of course factories were at their most dangerous lives!
Also the golden age of Scarlet Fevers!
American Civil War 1861-1865.
I have watched 2013 Lincoln.
6:05 JERKS!!
It's like on an episode of 1,000 ways to die!
Like none of those construction workers noticed Alan getting jumped by six other boys.
4:38 fear quote
At the part of 8:07, it's like that construction worker somehow knew what Allen was digging up and knew that game was in Allen's hands.
However, if Allen knew what kind of dark world that game had I am certain that he would have thrown it away the second he found it. Be careful with junk that you might find. Some junk can really turn ugly on you if you don't know what you are doing. And, sometimes with dark consequences. That said, you can even find yourself in a very dangerous situation if you don't know what you are doing with junk.
I know those kids who buried the box. they are from Hogwarts prove me if not!
Alan Parrish as Hamato Yoshi
Billy Jessup as Oroku Saki
I would’ve loved it if there was a prequel of this where those 2 boys from 1869 played the game that gave them the same fate as Alan
How does a hunter exist in that game, since his gun doesn't come out till 1911.
5:49 what did he mean by "not anymore"?
''You're not friends with my girlfriend anymore!''
@@trevorbluesquirrel899 He's lying.
6:00 Narrator Alan should've listened!
He probably thinks that Sarah is his girlfriend and he doesn't want Alan to be around her for that manner. Also, he is an asshole. And I believe Billy is jealous over something really stupid.
@@jamesplunkett8912 Sarah is done with Billy. Tired of his Nonsense. That's why when She and Alan return to 1969, she kisses Alan on the Lips. "Alan, there's something I've been meaning to do. And I better get it over with before I feel too much like an adult".

Had board games existed in 1800s?
Board games have been around for nearly 5000 years. The first board game ever made was Senet, made by the Egyptians in 3500 BCE.
@@adamwalkervfx Thanks for the info.
By the 1800s board games were already an ancient form of entertainment

That Billy Jessop needed his Friends as Back up because he was a Coward and that’s the only reason he acted all high and mighty, I think Alan’s Dad was stupid for sending him out there alone
It's just a movie, it didn't really happen

I fucking love the mystical and almost horror nuance in the original. Its basically Goosebumps unofficial movie. I'm disgusted the 2010s version abandoned this approach and turned it into dumb action movie. Modern Hollywood sucks
