Dude, honestly this game wasn't that terrible defensively... but both teams were shooting the fucking lights out of the building... I mean when you see fucking Grant Williams knocking down every 3pt shot he takes, even the ones that are not completely stationary 3s then defenses will look bad... if you see the highlights it's not like every shot was open...
It wasn't a great defensive game, not even close, don't get me wrong... but it wasn't as terrible defensively as the final score shows...
Beasley for Lakers: Misses so many wide open 3's is benched and eventually traded.

You really need an elite big man for championships. GW was the exception, Curry had everyone thinking you can go all the way with the small ball, nobody said you also need two of the best 3 point shooters of all time too lol.

when they traded For Lillard i said they made a mistake for letting Jrue go. But i was wrong. This Bucks team is much better with Lillard.

An all-star NBA game. Period.
It's so interesting to watch Luka move when attacking. Most players are flashy and work through speed and crazy handling but Luka almost looks slow when attacking the paint. He uses his body so well to block of his defender once he manages to get past them through the screen. They cant reach the ball without fouling and if they go for it around him, he can step back and pull up for his jumper. It's so solid and yet looks so unspectacular and boring. You can even see him scanning the field all the time cause he generates so much freedom for himself that he can turn his head constantly while entering the paint. Truly incredible. Europe ballers are a different breed.

I saw that too; You just have to look at the "foul" that was called on Irving, giving 3 decisive points for Lillard.
And look at this play here (5:50), it was a travel, but they didn't call it; You can even see how one of the guys, sitting on the bench, mention it, making the "travel" gesture with his arms.
i wish those two teams can reach the final that would be such a fun matchup
now i want bucks and mavs to end up fighting their all in playoffs.

Crazy that they messed up such a good lead and it was surprising luka kept missing shots in the final 5 minutes. That usually doesn’t happen for him. It got so bad that he just started to keep passing to kyrie.
He was 1 of 3 in the last 5 minutes, and was fouled on one of those (it wasn't called). Role players were missing open threes (THJ, Grant Williams), that was the real problem. That and defense+refs
Grant William had 4/10 3pt...what do you expect of him. He balled hard..same as Hardaway.

When the mavs plays against teams with bigs who can attack the rim, it shows they are still lacking interior defenses. They have no answer for Giannis.
True Derick Lively has a lot of potential but as rookie he will get bullied in the paint by players like Giannis.

It's effing hilarious that people get excited about threes. They're so commonplace that I don't even acknowledge it as a difficult shot. One team hits it, then the opposing one follows with their own. I'm more impressed when a guy operates around the paint, or a nice assist is given.
