@@DamnWhoAsked There's a common inverse problem in RPGs - if the player drifts away from the main story on and goes sidequest-happy, when they do get back to the main story they'll be cutting through enemies like tissue paper. Defeated the world-threatening superdragon boss by walking up and stabbing it until it was dead. Some games use dynamic difficulty to adjust for that. The better you get, the harder the game gets. 3:00 UPGRADE the cyberware when it is first installed by vic to the next tear. This will lead to the eye/arm cyberware to be unequipped and remain in your inventory instead.
Fun fact, Adam smasher does know that you are behind the screen, if you have a cyberware that highlights enemies that spot you, he will be the only one who not only gives you a deathstare he also highlights red
it does that to all boss-type enemies so even if he didn't know he would still be red
That's trying to justify it in lore. It's just that the code is written so that every boss always knows where you are, and Adam's AI locked onto V in that cutscene
@@justjoe5373you can sneak around the first boss Royce though????
@@SomeOne-vf1rs You can? I completely forgot about that, been a bit since I played
@@justjoe5373 Yeah. I’m pretty sure you can hide from him and skip the fight. I don’t entirely remember though. It could be that he’s the only case of that
The first time I played cyberpunk. I didn’t realize you could add chrome to your character and constantly forgot to level up my stats, so for the majority of that play through, I was a ‘normal person’ lmao. God how much more fun I had once I understood what chrome does
I did this , fully kitted out my V and was instantly OP lmaoo
Same, lol. Very first playthrough. Got my ass kicked to laughable lengths. I focused solely on the main story, so as you can imagine, I got spanked a few times by the likes of Oda and Smasher once I ran into them. After I watched other walkthroughs and videos about the game, I never looked back. Once I learned the game more and put two and two together, it's been a lot of fun. I have YET to face Smasher since they've buffed him, but facing Oda nowadays is light work, to say the least. ESPECIALLY if you're running a close-quarter combat build or a Netrunner build where you can just spam quickhacks on him. Takes me under 2 minutes to pack him up now.
@@DamnWhoAsked There's a common inverse problem in RPGs - if the player drifts away from the main story on and goes sidequest-happy, when they do get back to the main story they'll be cutting through enemies like tissue paper. I ran into that in Skyrim - I focused on crafting skills early on, so by the mid-game I was carrying weapons that make the Daedric artefacts look like children's toys. Defeated the world-threatening superdragon boss by walking up and stabbing it until it was dead.
Some games use dynamic difficulty to adjust for that. The better you get, the harder the game gets. Fallout New Vegas does that - the random encounter enemies come with more people in the squad and carrying better equipment.
@@vylbird8014why would i spend time to make my character strong if the game will buff the enemies anyway? Always seen it like a waste of time and hated NV for it
@@Scooter227 It works best when the player doesn't know it's happening. Many games deceive the player in order to make the game more fun, usually by biasing apparently random events. Think of how Mariocart biases the pick-ups to the players at the back are more likely to get the good ones. If it didn't, then a player who took a commending lead early in the race would be almost guaranteed to win and the game wouldn't be any fun - it's only exciting when everyone is jockeying for position.
It would be great to play a "pure" human in the next gaem using gadgets, EMP grenades, amd custom-tooled gear to replace cyberware. You can actually take on such a challenge in the Cyberpunk RED tabletop game.
Great start. Can't wait to see where your career goes from here.
Yeah, idea came from a no cyberware character I played in Red. Sucks you can't replicate it here, but hey, good game.
Just like powerless runs in Dishonored. Cool part is the maps in Dishonored 2 are designed that a skilled player with the right agility bone charms can parkour their way through the whole game without using active magic.
did that in the 2020 TTRPG, Titans closest thing to a cyber surgery was that he was trans and had a few fully normal tattoos. he was still the most powerful fighter, since Tien Hsu is a busted good martial art, as is the mechanic of duel wielding SMGs. sadly the campaign ended before I could show a mortal can kill cyber vampires.
come to think of it, that's kinda like a SL1 run in Soulsborne game
I'm planning on doing that. A fixer who was a former Inquisitor before discovering philosophy. Doesn't like Cyberware still but isn't outright hostile and has a Techie as a friend to help with those pesky tech situations
"normal person" with the godlike power of quicksave and reload? SURE.
All you gotta do is metal gear that shit. Stealth takedowns are overpowered, and bosses are stumped by the ppwer of pillars blocking their line of fire
This is the equivalent of someone refusing to use magic in a fantasy world out of the principal of it being dishonorable.

They should add a proper "Morgan Blackhand" mode that limits your cyberware to 25% of normal capacity.
Something like that would be nice, but that is what "challenge runs" are for!
Oh I could’ve swore I watched a Morgan blackhand lore video but never heard about him rocking less CW than normal, is there anywhere I can read on the lore? I’m lwk interested in it now that I’ve been slightly spoiled and watched ER and played 2077
@@invert8505There is none. Morgan is actually pretty kitted out. He just never went overboard with the cyberware.

Its funny that one of the most famous hitmen in all of cyberpunk lore is ganic but is still feared
Scary, but still very weak is a weird combo. Like sure, he could one shot me, but he would rather just chase me then damage me.
Imaging being Adam. Many years ago he had to chose between full body conversion or death. The psychologic shock of his new form brought him to insanity, and he wasn't stable when he was human. For the rest of his life he believed in weakness of flesh, and strength of metal.
He then got killed by a guy with a sword and no chrome.
Nomad ending would be the most true naty ending. A heavy dose of handwavium can explain away that Viktor respects your desires (hes nice enough to operate on you free of charge), and all he does is install self lubricating high tech contact lenses that give you the functionality of cyberware without being it. It wouldnt be much different from real world contact lenses or like fixed dental bracers. The chip actually hacked ur phone that relays all the data transmitted to the lenses and now it uses hypnosis to fuck around with V’s life. Headcanon after the nomad ending would be V finding out the whole thing was huge delusion trip that somehow got him through taking down a corporate empire’s attempt at immortality.
I will at some point do Phantom liberty, so I'll most likely do other endings with it as well!

Wild part about that bit when you're hiding in the Heist, if you have the upgrade that will highlight enemies who have detected you, Adam Smasher is highlighted. The fucker really does see you and doesn't give a shit.
@@foxxknight8847 he doesn’t see you. He shows up as having detected you, because ALL boss characters in 2077 are given a little flag that makes them permanently aware of V’s position.
Iirc It’s to keep their boss fights from being cheesed too easily, as well as a few other things they can break when the boss no longer recognizes the player location.
So smasher shows up as highlighted not because he actually sees you in that scene, but because his character is programmed to always know where you are, and having that cyberware accidentally reveals this to you
It’s kinda like how in Spider-Man 2018, you can accidentally reveal certain villains early by turning off villains in the photo mode, causing them to disappear, even if it’s before they’re revealed as a villain.
It’s just an unintended side effect caused by a flag on the character, being read in places they didn’t expect you to be able to see them

5:50 i think in the lore, or there's a shard somewhere I can't freaking remember, Smasher WAS able to see V and Jackie hiding and didn't do anything out of morbid curiosity. he's like, "oh, there's two assholes hiding behind that screen. this might start some shit that'll be fun. i ain't saying a damn thing." that or Takimura was able to find Dex because Smasher told him or Yorinobu that there were two people in the suite when the patricide happened and takimura was able to trace his way to dex and V through that information.

You do cool narration. And I did this as-human-as-possible on my first run. It was easier for 1.x version for a samurai, because katana speed can speed up in skill tree, but dependent on chrome in 2.x😢
this is basically just morgan blackhand playthrough goddamn, i like your editing style as well good vid :)

You can bunny hop infinite with dash. Dash, and as soon as you dash you have to jump. You’ll get flung (essentially giving you a long jump) and your dash will refill midair. When you land, you can either time the jump perfect to retain the momentum (which is hard af) or you can dash and jump again with your already replenished stamina. You go about as fast as a car on some of the slower map speed limits.
Not only are you fast as fuck bunny hopping like this, but it is just plain great for movement. Getting to places you aren’t supposed to be. Jumping across buildings. Being a badass ninja with a katana and bunny hopping midslash
Can you beat Cyberpunk using only Slaught-O-Matics? Sounds awful enough to have someone else try

The eyes aren't cyber ware, just...colored contact lenses.
Oh man, my fault XD
Yeah, I tried to be a normal human being for as long as possible, at a certain point in the game tho, I wanted to beat the Champions, so I took Gorilla arms and steamrolled them, then I realized just one cyber augment and I was probably the strongest being in this world, so I fully upgraded my body and then I realized I cannot get dealth more than 100 damage per minute, and no matter what it will auto heal anyway.
You can finish the game as a human, it's just god damn hard to do things you could steamroll as a cyber human. (Also, grenades are OP in this game, you can have an infinite number of low lvl grenades and somehow they will still two shot Adam Smasher.)
I think this may be more of a earlier 1.6 or 1.0 thing. But this comment is like it's own little cyberpunk story! Someone who wanted to rise above all these cybernetically modified beings, but after temptation, and one implant. They fall down the same path everyone else did, and get chromed up, and become unstoppable.

I personally feel as if the eyes should not count as cyberware for the challenge, the game even barely qualifies them as cyberware since they only take up a single point. Far as I'm concerned you beat it without cyberware.
During a new run, it seems I found a way to take the eyes off. So it turns out I might need to redo/reinvent this run
