It should not, but you will need to clean it off if/when its gets super dirty

I know my Pump skimmer gets leafs and I suspect it comes from the bottom of the pool that has 2 circular discs at the bottom.

I can't clean a skimmer without a handle. It's too scary.

Wasps and Yellow Jackets get in my skimmer baskets. They come from other houses a half dozen at a time to get water to build there mud nests. The traps are not working.

I bought both and they were a waste of money. Neither one work the basket handle or the sock.
