There is something indisputably captivating about this man and his band.
This year has been like 2008-09 for me. So much amazing music. Anyone remember when microcastle, merriweather post pavilion, that grizzly bear album (veckatamist?) and all those other amazing albums came out?

very underrated band it seems. they have a 60s/70s appeal and should be up their with the greats in terms of popularity.
loving the song. the production is outstanding
Love the themes and ideas on this album -really relates to me on a personal level and parallels a lot of the thoughts I've been having recently. The song gets better with every listen and really picks up with the layering towards the end.

Very cool track... I think it has a nice, spiritual vibe to it. Really can't place this song into any genre. A class of its own. And it proves that Fading Frontier will be full of surprises... I was sent links to the leaked album, but I am going to wait until it drops and I will purchase a hard copy. I have and will continue to support them. Their music never becomes unlistenable to me. It has massive staying power and I am still trying to figure out why... Is it the vocal layers, overdubs or reverb? This is the beauty of Deerhunter.
Deerhunter should be rewarded for their efforts. It's clear they've worked hard on this album...

shaping up to be their best work since Microcastle IMHO. And these videos are gorgeous. It's been a while since I was so pumped for an album

Nicoyutub no! It's a terrific album (He Would've Laughed and Helicopter are my favs from it), I don't really think they've made a bad record (though I'm not a big fan of Cryptograms), It all comes down to personal preference. I just prefer the less polished shoegaze sound they were going for during that Microcastle Weird Era Cont phase.
+Joe Clift Seriously, each single dropped has been pretty swell. Breaker is my favorite so far I think, Reminds me of Microcastle a BUNCH! Btdubs those two records are personal favorites.
Jon Tripler yeah Breaker's definitely been my fav single. Cannot wait to get my hands on the rest of this thing. And dude I'm with you 100 percent. Two of the best records to come out in the past 20 years imo
+Joe Clift Monomania and Cryptograms are their two best albums IMHO, but you can't say "this is the best work since ....." with Deerhunter cause every one of their albums is constantly amazing (and different). They are easily our generations The Velvet Underground or Sonic Youth or Pixies, just pioneers/trail-blazers of music who refuse to repeat themselves after each album, and all the better for it.

Have any of you guys seen this on their tour? It was the one song that the composition was noticeably different to the record. It had a sort of bounce to it in the same way Don't Cry does. There was like 8-note strumming, really prominent rhythm guitar. It was fantastic.
Simply wonderful. Bradford seems more relaxed and in a less agitetated stage than previous years. Acceptance and melancholy at their best. The brotherly comradery that Lockett and Bradford share creates the most dream-like melodies. It's strongly honest and magical.
It is wonderful song for every ones and video quality good to see. I am leasing song more than 3 times. thank you.

Not feeling it. Love Deerhunter, and this is a nice song, but it just doesn't feel like a Deerhunter song. Could be anyone. Liked Snakeskin better. However, the ending of this song is very nice.
