I've seen where you can play around with shortening the 2 tubes that are 110 long, then make the neck as long as you want it to overlap. I've used scraps of cut t-shirt fabric rectangles (safety-pinned together to play with a slightly stretchy ugly sample for a rough fitting to figure out how many inches). That way the lower neck section can be fitted or baggy without wasting yarn to knit so many samples.
