Let me make one thing clear that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not give those things to Hazrat Fatima as a dowry or as a gift. What happened was that Hazrat Ali was under the guardianship of the Holy Prophet, so at the time of the marriage, the Holy Prophet asked Hazrat Ali if there was anything to give as مہر. So he said no, then the Holy Prophet said, you have to pay the mahr, then he mentioned a sword of Hazrat Ali, so he said, I have it, so the Holy Prophet said, sell it and pay the mahr. He pledged the money and gave it to the Holy Prophet, with which the Holy Prophet bought the goods. So in this way, that item was Hazrat Fatima's mehar and not dowry

Very nice talk Sushra Ji, but I want to make some corrections that Nabi s.a.w.didnot give any jahez to Bibi Fatima but it was very little money given by Hazrat Ali from which some very necessary things were bought by some elder ladies for the convenience of the couple.
