Just in case since you only mentioned getting the eggs ready for incubating not cleaning the tub... For ball pythons, you can take a little bit of dishsoap water and give mom a quick bath. give the tub a good clean as well. It gets rid of the egg smell so the mommas don't keep thinking there might be eggs nearby and get them eating again a bit quicker.

Ball pythons (and most pythons as far as I know) DO actually hold on to their eggs and protect them during incubation. Other than colubrids, pythons brood on the eggs. Just to tell you ball pythons incubate their eggs. They twitch their body to create heat and can raise the temeperature above ambient air temperature . To do maternal incubation you just need a nest box with moss or cypress mulch to keep the humidity up. The female coils will get tighter if it gets too cool. Mist the nest box daily to keep the substrate moist not wet. The female will drink water from drops on coils if she is thirsty. The last couple of weeks of incubation the female will leave the clutch to go hunting and they will eat during this time. When the eggs slit the female will be on the clutch like glue until the babies emerge. This same behavior is done by blood pythons. Burmese pythons on the other hand do not feed for the entire incubation then when the eggs slit they are out of there! They just want to get a good drink and a shed then a meal. One thing I noticed with Burmese is that there were always a few eggs that would roll away from the main clutch. Those eggs placed in an incubator would aways hatch after the maternally incubated ones by a week or two. I always wondered if the twictching made the babies develop faster. So if you want to try this so if you can keep the humidity and temperature in the right range you don't need an incubator. Mind you in Miami during the summer humidity was never a problem. The females would be lonely coiled during the day and tighten up up at night when things cooled down a little.

That was cool to see, and those did look like pretty large eggs, even for a ball python. I'm no expert on ball pythons but based on what I can recall from watching Brian B's videos, they seem to be on the larger side. Can't wait to see what the babies look like, hope you guys get some good morphs out of the clutch. Speaking of ball pythons and Brain Barczyk, I think that he mentioned that he was looking at downsizing some ball python breeding stock due to his illness. This might be a good opportunity for you guys to pick a few more to add a little more variety to your breeding stock.
From what I remember both pastel and banana are incomplete dominant. So they have a good chance to get an animal that shows both the pastel and banana. It would be cool to see some off Brains snake go to SD.
@@squeakybgaming Not a big fan off that gene either. If I ever get a ball pyhton it will not be a spider. There seem to be some spiders with little symptoms, so I get why some want them and there are still breeders. For me though it's not worth the risk. It's the same with the kakariki (parakeets) that I have and ocasionally breed. I will never get birds with the fallow gene as they are just weaker. Breeding hets off that gene together or 1 het and 1vissible you will notice that the fallow chicks grow slower and have higher death rates than the other ones. When breeding vissible fallows together you can loose up to half off the chicks before fledging. Just not worth it and enough other morphs that don't give these problems.

luckily since it was delayed waiting for the other female, we will get the hatching video sooner than we expect!
3or 4 bananas that be awesome 😊 congrats on the new clutch of eggs.😊😊
YAY!!!!!Ball python eggies!!!!! Also Bannana Bread is sooooooooo cute! Also, do you have to brumate/hibernate ball pythons, and if so, when do you put them into brumation?
The only snake I own is a ball python so seeing you guys breeding balls now just makes my heart happy😍
I can't say I'm upset that he's slowing down ball python breeding. His pairing of the spider gene borders on abusive.
It's always exciting with your first clutch of Ball Python eggs. (Every season lol). And so you know average clutch size is around 6 so you have a very good first clutch. Great to see you stepping into my realm LOL. Great video as always. Can't wait to see the hatchlings.
Idea for egg pictures different types of balls with her being a ball python. Also congratulations to the new momma. Also the typical size is 6 eggs but can be up to 11
My big Mojave, Geraldine, had a clutch of 11 eggs. I was amazed. They were large eggs as well.
so having 10 in a clutch is not bad its also cool that they all looked like they were good eggs
Funny thing is I commented about the Ball thing before I saw the full video and they did do different balls. Yay haha
I don’t think I’ll ever not find it funny that some snakes have these massive clumps of glued eggs
Emily's right. Just because they LOOK the same does not mean they are the same. One tells your fortune and the other goes into pockets on a pool table.
Yes But they’re the same kind of ball. I think that’s what he meant.
This is so exciting! Even if it's just ball python eggs and nothing uncommon, it's still so exciting! I love Ball Pythons and they're one of my favourite snakes(+I might be getting one in the future) and it's the first time for you guys to breed them! I can't wait to see the little ball python babies!! They're probably gonna be so huge!!! Can't wait!!
❤❤❤ It is so inspiring to see y'all successful in a new venture!!! I myself have also started the Ball python Breeding Journey!!! ... I have a female Lesser Orange Dream and a male Banana. Over the next 5 years I have a goal to build something like Snake Discovery as an education center here in the Southern California Desert!!!
Ball python: cinnamon roll mode, activated. Emily: GET READY TO GET FINGERED-
Yay ball python eggs! Super excited to see babies. Thank you for sharing! If your reading this I hope you have a great day and know. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NIV
Honey Is so cute protecting her eggs she is so friendly and careful Caring for them and keeping them warm🐍
So cool 🙂 On another note please, please don't go "industrial" It breaks my heart when I see all the small tubs the parents are kept in year around. I mean even Balls love to climb and move if given the opportunity but you know that already👀
So happy for you both!!! Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
Banana eggs! Awesome to see you guys branching out (and the VERY FIRST bp eggs)!
I died when I saw the editor note at 6:29 🤣
I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!!! Congrats on the Ball Python eggs, to you guys and the proud parents!!
