thank you sir for simplifying the complex ..1)whether entire gut is drianed by hepato portal shunt sir or only small intestine is connected .my doubt is if we give some medication via anus as suppository whether it has to pass through liver undergoing first pass effect .2) is there any chance to escape first pass effect to minimize dose for oral preparations . 3) i know that sublingual route will escape from first pass effect can we take any medicine via sublingually or any restrictions sir
Yes, I think you are right, HPV drains the lower third of the oesophagus right throng to the colon, but Im not sure which part of the colon. For sure the mouth is not drained by HPV, this is why aspirin is faster absorbed if it is chewed, rather than swallowed.
