@miliardera I am currently doing my masters in mining and am taking a course on tailings dams and mine waste management. This Math Easy Solution is based on one of the lectures in that class. Mining engineering is very broad and understanding hydraulic and civil engineering concepts are important whenever dealing with large masses of material.
Thank you so much for this video. I am actually working on an undergraduate research project on policy related to mine tailings and the technical jargon is very unfamiliar. This really clarified a lot of basic definitions.
Mainly depend to the area to emplacement the tsf, for example here in Chile the normative permit only centerline and downstream construction and generally the construction of the tsf is between two hill slopes. The drain system to compose for one main drain in traverse to alignment of the dam and some cutoff system longitudinal of the aligment of the dam, and other small drains for recollection other flows
+aswasenn thanks for asking. Yes reusing and recycling water is an important environmental and economic factor that many companies try to implement. As for oil sand tailings, it is the most difficult process in reusing water but even in that case, technology in reusing tailings water is improving every year!
J'aime ma profession de tailing dam que pourrai je faire pour avoir la formation en temp reel (en faite je suis technicien de tailing il ya de cela 6ans )/je suis ravi d'avoir d'ajouter encore la connaissance merci
Is a multidisciplinary topics, involves the geotechnical, hydraulic, civil and other. Mainly for the physical stability involves the geotechnical and the hydraulic area, but mainly geotechnical.

I'm also pursuing M tech and my project is based on tailing dam can u make a detail video on tailing dam analysis and stage construction.

Fine geological embankments analysis by the reverse hydrolisation effect.
Thanks you for clarification, to young tailing water engineers
thank you
what's the drain used for in Downstream and Centreline?

So helpful
Thanks
Very helpful.
can you tell, do you filtrate and reuse the water ?

I think tailing dams are not subject of mining engineering but for hydraulic engineering

I feel like going for a swim
I got it.
