Mugiwara Cosplay just a quick question, i have problems shaving the fur, it doesnf shave properly and i dont know why. It like leaves lines and stuff and i end up using the fur for parts that are hidden. Do you use a slecial razer?

i thought of this thing where the back of the foot can be slid off like velcro and the line can be hidden by the fur and if u grow out of ur shoes just put new size inside :D

This is only the 2nd tutorial and I already have a new respect for anyone making fursuits. It blows me away how amazing they turn out yet you get people asking you to spend all that time to make them a free suit. Like wow. If for nothing but the time spent creating, let alone supply costs, totally worth whatever your are asking price-wise. 🦊💜

I’m literally hand sewing ears right now and watching this. And I’m very surprised that I haven’t stabbed my finger with the needle by accident yet
Lets just say i totally didn't save up 2k dollars for fursuit materials and then later on found out my mom wanted me to buy me my own car so now im not allowed to use that money and now have to save up for a car-
Honestly, just gotta say, other makers these days just make things really complex and unnecessary.
I feel like at this point, other makers just sew the foam to foam, so I’m happy to see a tutorial that’s easy to follow with an amazing end product
And that was the beginning how I became a furry. Videos like this where in my recommendee and I was and am still amazed by it.

For me if I ever tried that would be a nice activity to just lose yourself in while just listening to music or whatever. Like the process of sewing, carving foam, and shaving fur seems like a relaxing process to me.
Cutting out ridges between the toes before rounding out the foam looks like it helps a lot!

It gives the best result when you make a tape pattern. Without a pattern you risk wasting fur or it turns out wrong

+Alex Cola Also, don't do only half like this video unless you are ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE both sides are symmetrical. If you tape only half and they arent symmetrical, you could waste fur/have to re-tape/have uneven sides
what I have found with making patterns with tape is that if you have a heat gun (or just a really hot blow dryer) then you can just use a few layers of plastic wrap to wrap over the thing you're trying to get a pattern for and then use the heat gun to go over it to help keep it's shape a little then make the pattern on that. if you go to my channel I have a Janna (League of Legends) cosplay tutorial where I talk about this method (not trying to self promote it just makes more sense when you see it lmao)

Any chance of getting a more indepth, slowed down version of this tutorial?? How long did it take you timewise to make just one foot? I am already going through my head as to where I can get materials to make a pair, like the 2nd hand stores, free charity stores at our churches (which I take donations to), and such. Hmmm...
I'm sorry no, it would then be too long, But I'm working on adding subtitles with info. I don't about one foot but both of them took a few hours to make.

I usually make the badges myself for commissioners. If you mean for my personal fursuits, I don't know when I will make a new suit of my fursonas/OC's (I have 2 other OC's besides my 2 dragon fursonas). So far my next costume plans for myself are cosplays (still as fursuits/fleecesuits) and I don't use badges for cosplays.

I wouldn't recommend that for this type feet paws, I used to make paws without shoes in the start and you can feel everything you walk on through the foam
