If you saw the broadcast/video you could have noticed how they said that starting from august, all new campaigns and units will be released both in global and jp at the same time, current units that jp has that global doesn't (cell max, toppo, ui, etc) will come out eventually EVEN after the "sync" is done

The Fact that there's people on Twitter justifying how bad dokkan has handled this because they call it "Unification of the operation schedules" instead of sync, is driving me crazy.
If everything is releasing at the same time in both versions, then the operation schedule is unified.

The main issue for me is having no clue of the schedule so I have no idea where to save and spend the dragon stones. They could drop UI goku on Christmas and then the 10th aniv. drops in January, I wouldn't be summoning for UI in that case for example.
I will be 100% honest. I'm patient. I can honestly wait for the sync with no issues. I'm hyped when it arrives, but the way things are happening dont really bother me. I've been indifferent to having both verisons for a long time.

I just want to make sure I’m following correctly on this. From WWC onwards we’ll be synced schedule with JP. Meaning for example, hypothetical Dokkanfest Krillin after WWC will drop on global and JP afterwards with all of his events and such?
Imagine if this Dokkan Now is the first time they announce the sync. Imagine go from thinking they just doing typical GLB shenanigans, to realize they are actually preparing for the sync, instead of, anticipating the sync the whole fcking time, just to get more "info will be released later".

I think a big issue is the fact that some of the missing characters are huge for some teams, for example without toppo special pose is significantly weaker. Cell max is also a very strong addition for super bosses.
If the missing characters weren’t all that important I don’t think anyone would care, but global will be missing some heavy hitters for an unknown amount of time.
That’s the thing it’s “unknown” and it’s been that way so why is everyone crying and bitching like toddlers when they could just drop a bunch of shit at any time like we don’t know how they will actually do things so maybe just be patient we have waited this long haven’t we
@@spoodyR3 I don’t think they’ll just drop everything at once, they’d probably lose money doing that. For instance, if the part two is jiren, dropping both UI and Jiren at the same time on global during the same sales would mean less money as compared to solo dropping them at different points. Secondly, this is different compared to previous times as this is the year of the “sync”, so having missing units of this caliber when both versions are supposed to be on the same page *is* an issue.

But with the new format, ur doing way less summons overall (with 830 stones, I’m doing about 70 less summons now). You have to have consistent SUPER SHIT luck to actually need to take advantage of the “granteed featured unit slot”
feel like i’m missing something with this new format, or maybe this is only good for people spending 5000+ stones, because in order to have the full benefit of the discounts you need to fully commit to 250 stones, and you still have to go 6 multis straight before a free one

i think the solution is simple. Cell Max on gammas banner, Toppo in early august then have Tanabata UI release during thank you celebration or november 30th dokkanfest during January 2025 (JP's dead month).
The only missing character would be the July 30th dokkanfest but that can be squeezed in august given the part 2 anniversary lrs come a week earlier than usual

Here’s a breakdown of how much value the step up format stacks up to a normal 3 + 1 with tickets btw.
Normal 3 + 1 with tickets:
- 150 stones for 4 multis and 9 tickets
- 4 multis = 200 stones
- 9 tickets = 45 stones
- 150 stones for 245 stones worth of value = ~39% discount on average
New Format (Without Tickets):
- 255 stones for 7 multis
- 7 multis = 350 stones
255 stones for 350 stones = ~27% discount on average
*But we get guaranteed featured on the 7th multi*
-The value of that multi is about 2.9 multis or 145 stones (calculated based on probability of pulling a featured unit on a standard multi) so it’s now 255 for 445 = ~43% discount on average
New Format (With Tickets):
- Same as above but we get 3 tickets for 6 of the 7 multis we get each round of the step up = 18 tickets for each round so add 18 x 5 = 90 to the 445 from before to get 535 stones of value for just 255 stones spent
- This ends up being ~52% discount on average
Edit: Made a mistake when calculating the value of the guaranteed featured multi (didn’t account for the possibility of pulling more than just the guaranteed featured unit in that multi)

We’re probably gonna get “manufactured” dual dokkanfests for the missing units. New unit will be out on JP and Global, but what usually goes in that timeframe on global would be there as well. At least on global
I imagine whats going to happen is that after the after this next world wide, global will do 2 celebration each month until the games are fully synced (The normal global schedule + the JP schedule).
If I was them from this point onward all of globals banners will have unique lead units that Japan doesn't have. Then when the two sides join, the banners will have both global exclusive and Japan exclusive units. That way both feel the need to pull on the banners.
The change in step-up format is actually not that much better if you do the math.
So previously we had 8 multis + 18 tickets with 260 stones (and 300 stones for every other cycle).
That's 98 0.5% chances to get the main unit. A 38.8% chance.
Now we get 7 multis for 255 stones, with a GFSSR at the end. That's 69 0.5% chances + 1 10% chance. That's a 36.3% chance.
OLD: 38.8% chance for 260 stones the 1st time, then 300 stones every other time
NEW: 36.3% chance for 255 stones, repeatable
This is actually a NERF for the first rotation, and then a buff if you do more than 1 rotation.

I would prefer a guaranteed featured ssr from one summon than 3 summons that will most likely just give garbage general pool ssrs.
Considering this is probably coming to jp too, i'd say overall it evens out the games (is a good thing).
Guaranteed is way better than chances, i'd take guaranteed featured any day of the week, any week of the month, any month of the year, any year of my life.

I think people are blowing this way out of proportion. The global exclusive *news* (important to note they never said a global exclusive character) was the step up. The unification news was that the unification will begin once the WWDC starts and that we'll have to wait until after the WWDC to get the units that are on JP now but not Global. People wanted to know and now they know. No more need for speculation

If the WWC will be based on the ToP saga maybe they will include UI and Toppo in the banners
And since DBSH has been disbanded they probablely wont make them a celebration so they can just drop Cell max

i think best case scenario for global anni is part 3 is the EZAs + LR Cell Max (and any content that dropped w Cell Max), then a "Global exclusive" EX Part with TEQ UI and the part 2 carnival as a DFE x Carnival, and all the tanabata celebration stuff, which would lead perfectly into GoD Toppo. Obv this would be insane for global players cuz that would be 3 extra banners to summon on but i think it fits well. and then all that would be left is the end of July DFE

The discounts on the multis throughout the step up also add up to 45 stones, which means it’s 255 stones for 7 multis vs 300 stones for 8 multis, which means the step up has a better stones:summons ratio. Unless the step up doesn’t have tickets, which may be the case.

My cope theory: part 2 Tanabata is Jiren, July 30th is Hit. Cell Max is a part 3 LR for global, Tanabata has hit added to UI Goku's banner, with toppo added to Jirens banner to fully catch global up
They could put Goku and Toppo in one banner, and Cell Max and Jiren in one banner too maybe... The "last" JP DF the 31 of July could already be a sync release. Like that there is a way to get everything imo.

I summoned for rosé and got 3 copies of him in like 500 stones, I also did about 500 in the ultimate Gohan banner and got him pretty quickly, and still have 3500 stones right now ready for the anni.
I think dokkan can make each 10 days, a event with the rest of the characters+ the events we will receive until Worldwide Celebration.
Like let’s suppose anniversary will end in 30th july. The next character should be Toppo, releasing on 2nd August, then Cell Max on 12th August, then Ui on 22th august, the other tanabata unit on 2nd September, 12th we can get the latest jp unit and then we go to the worldwide celebration without any loss of content

Simple, they release none of the missing units on global but when they return on banners for jp the banners on global are the same so they just add them as one of the units to the dokkan fest banner. This is ridiculous but I could see them doing it. Although from a business perspective I feel like they would lose money compared to other avenues
I believe that all the true sync will happen during the 10th anniversary of JP. During which, regardless of whatever they say on WWDC, they will not really do the celebration for global, but will play catch-up with the remaining units & events, DFE Toppo, Tanabata units, what not.
Only problem with the theory, is that I have no idea what they would do for global 10th anniversary. They could just celebrate it on both and from then on, do the anniversary for both versions in July.
The fact they said more info is coming leans me towards missing units coming as an EX part to the Anni… LR Cell Max first example!

The fumble for the sync is insane. We all knew it was gonna be messy but they could fix that by giving us the schedule.
Also Truth, this is my first time ever having over 1k stones. Currently have 1012 and I’m going all in for Gogeta (he’s my favorite and I’ll go for Broly and then Beast after. Either way, you can tell I’m extremely hyped)

This is doctor strange in infinity war, they had hundreds even thousands of outcomes to go about this, but they chose THE ONE outcome. Even if this was a higher up decision they had an entire year to figure it out. Too much damage has been dealt for new banner steps to heal. They knew they f’d up, but they did nothing to make up for that F up. I just don’t know how to feel rn.

tbh I'm upset that everything won't be on global during the sync because by the time cell max and UI goku come to global, they are gonna be only 2-3 months away from being aged out by the 10th anniversary, let's be honest cell max and UI will be stumped by the 10 yr characters
I believe the missing units should be at the end of another celebration with the part 3 eza, for example 9anni, gogeta Broly pt1, beast and gammas evoken eza pt 2, and put toppo for pt 3 with mui and evolution vegeta. Tho it may look anni the banner is just normal

I get the feeling theyre gonna smash in toppo and cell max into one celebration after the anniversary and then probably put LR UI goku for the new years celebration if they cant really fit all the banners together cause the amount of banners global will be missing.
