Kristin, I've been following your channel since I watched your wedding makeup video 4 years ago! My husband and I got married the same year, and we had a big cross at the altar, inspired by your wedding photos :) I got pregnant around the same time as you did and I feel like I'm listening to a friend going through the same life experiences whenever I watch your videos ( pregnancy charlie horse cramps are the worst!). My husband and I also have a golden retriever, just bought a house and I had my baby on Sunday (it was a surprise, a boy!) You're going to love being a mom, it's already so amazing. So excited to keep following along with you, Marcus and baby boy :)
NEW MUM TIP! Get 2 big stainless steel water bottles and a stash of some healthy easy to eat snacks like nuts and grapes. One next to the rocking chair and one on your bedside table. When you breastfeed, you get super thirsty and hungry and it really helps to have these things within an arms reach. Lots of love and all the best for your birth from a Mum in New Zealand! :) xo
just to be safe, i would pack your hospital bag now just in case he comes early, you're prepared! and get 2 stainless steel water bottles because while youre breastfeeding, you're going to get dehydrated so you put water in one, and snacks in another! Edit: just realized someone commented the same thing haha
Giggled a little when you banged the rolling bassinet on the door frame a couple times. Hopefully little man likes to go off-roading🤣 Love you guys and can’t wait to see the house!
Tip: When I was a baby, i had a stuffed bear. My parents had the crazy idea to get rid of it and get another one. However, that bear was my favorite and I was very upset because I knew that the one my parents gave me was not the same one. To prevent this, get more than one of the same stuffed animal 😊😆 *I think this would also apply when you wash a stuffed animal and the baby wants it in the middle of the washing process 😊
Awe, this makes me happy that you were able to make a nursery for him and do some nesting!!! I’m sure that made you feel better knowing you had a place set up for him. A tip for when he starts sleeping in crib double up in the sheets. Layer sheet protector, sheet, sheet protector, sheet. That way if he makes a mess in the middle of the night, all you have to do is remove the first layer and he has a fresh set already for him. In the middle of the night it’s a life saver!!!! Oh and if you haven’t tried Ben and Jerry’s Chunky Monkey do it! So good! Banana ice cream with chocolate chunks and walnuts!!! It’s my all time fave!

Hey there! Love the updates and your bumpdate! Random tip I've gathered (I have a 7.5 month old girl)- take an extra changing pad and keep it by your bed. Overnight during diaper changes, you won't want to go all the way to a changing table. I keep diapers, butt paste, wipes, hand sanitizer, a tiny/quiet toy, and that changing pad in a little basket by my bed and it's so helpful! Plus then your sheets and blankets are protected from any overnight diaper messes (: can't wait to see baby boy; you're going to be great parents! Also fun fact, I craved peanut butter cups after having our baby girl SO MUCH. For like 5 months post partum, lol. I claimed it was for the sweetness and protein (:

I think i saw this on pinterest idk if you already know this but layer matress pad and sheet on the crib bed so that if he messes up the bed in the middle of the night you can just peel of the layers and have a fresh sheet without having to change the sheet! I hope this help anyone with a new baby!

Had my first baby last year at the end of July and moved into a new house right at same time. I was on a ladder painting our walls and listening to a birthing class at 36 weeks. Seeing you go through this is bringing back all the memories!! Savor it though- such a special season!
