- A new Roblox obby game called "Tower World" appeared in the recommended section of my Roblox home page yesterday, so I decided to try it out... and I love it! Super fun and unique game, and it's incredibly new (I was within the first ~2,500 players to purchase access to the game.
This is the first Tower World speedrun time of mine that I am happy enough with to share (before this I had runs of ~4:50) and I hope to continue speedrunning the game a bit more as new towers are added. Although I fully expect to be outmatched by the expert players once enough of them have learned about this cool game, so I probably won't be on the leaderboards for long!

LOL I had not noticed that at all; good find! If I remember correctly, there have been a few other moments during my speedruns where the music has been timed well (not just with the chicken sound), like in my speedrun of the Sand Tower. At 2:37 in that video, I had just completed a section that made use of a powerup and the music matched well with the initial jump (and somewhat for the two that followed). Hello, I would be interested to know about this game. is it worth buying it? will the price be justified?
It depends on the types of obby games that you enjoy. I'd say that it's super worth the price given how high quality the game is, but there's not that many towers right now, so if you aren't interested in replaying the towers with the different challenge modes (which includes speedruns) then you could consider waiting until a future time.
I've uploaded speedruns for every single Tower that is currently in the game so you can watch through those to see if the game interests you enough to purchase access. Something to keep in mind is that 3 out of the 5 maps in the game at the moment also have boss fights after reaching the top of the tower in the standard mode (with those Towers being Desert, Bakery, and Sky Tower), which is a really unique part of the game that helps distinguish it from other obby games.

I only plan on posting speedruns for Tower World (which doesn't include the voicelines since those only play in the tutorial and the standard gamemode for each tower, at the moment).
However, based on the credits of the game, the names of the characters with voicelines are "Tiffany" and "Scrapper". I think there's another character that will be added to the game soon but I'm not sure when. I agree that it's a really fun part of the game, though; especially cool to see considering most Roblox games don't have voicelines for characters. They've done a really good job with it for Tower World so it'll be cool to see how much depth there will be to character backstories and how many more characters will be included as the game continues to be developed.

Thanks! And also, is it possible to achieve that without character-related glitches? I didn't spend too much time looking to see if it was possible to avoid the sections where the character is shrunk down (since it didn't seem like there was any intuitive way of doing so which also saved time). If it requires some sort of glitch with the character model, that's not something I would have implemented into my run since I try to keep my speedruns as vanilla as possible (although I still respect the strategies that utilize every last bit of the character mechanics to its maximum potential; most tricks are way too difficult for me to even try, haha).
If there's a skip that can be done with either the default / intended behavior of the character model physics or with the in-game power ups (such as the jump boost in Radio Tower, which isn't in the Lush Tower but that's an example), then I'd be interested in learning more about that.
@@StrongBigeMan9 oh yeah i get that, im not sure if you would count these as character glitches, but you can skip the second shrinker by wallhopping or mashing shift with a specific camera angle (my fav), and the third by jumping over the shrinker, and then using shiftlock to clip through the fence a little, i did it in my vid, but skill issue waring

@@InfectedByJToH For jumping over the first one, I've tried that with no success (and even if it does work, it probably wouldn't be possible to progress any further without utilizing any glitches because the doorway to enter the room is too short for the standard height of an R6 Character model to walk through).
For the second and third strategies, I would consider those to be character-related glitches, which I personally wouldn't use in speedruns but it's cool to see other players utilize that when the creators of the game are ok with it (which I think is true in the case of Tower World). It always looks awesome and helps to showcase how high the skill ceiling can go with obbies; and if I understand correctly, while those techniques require a solid amount of skill to perform, those are not even some of the most difficult ones that are possible so I can't imagine how much time would need to be spent to perfect even more advanced ones.
My personal preferences for completing speedruns in a mostly glitch-free manner applies outside of obbies, too. With Super Golf speedruns, for example, I never strategically change my camera sensitivity mid-run, but many of the top speedrunners have ultra-specific camera sensitivities that they swap to during a run in order to make absolutely insane trickshots that would pretty much be impossible to consistently achieve otherwise. Of course that's completely different from obbies (especially because, as far as I am aware, the developers of Super Golf have tried to limit the strategic usage of custom sensitivities in public lobbies, whereas many obby games welcome the usage of character glitches and often integrate that as a requirement to complete certain maps), but essentially, even if I am limiting the maximum potential I have with these speedruns, I don't mind that much. A side benefit of this also happens to be that it could showcase to an average player what they could achieve without needing to learn too many additional techniques / mechanics / etc.
Either way, thank you for sharing your knowledge about those strategies. I may not use it during any future runs of mine, but I hope it will be useful for other players who stumble across this video and end up reading through the comments :D

I don't know who that is so I searched for their profile; they have the "Welcome" badge for Tower World, so it seems like the player that appeared near the end of the video was the actual game developer that you referenced. Cool coincidence! :D

@@bossggyorke4739 The 11 second run was a cheated time that was removed from the leaderboard. If you refer to the end of the video, you'll see that the time was already removed by the point I was getting ready to upload this video

How do you switcg your aura
You can choose what to equip through the in-game Inventory (which is the plus button that is visible at the bottom of the screen; during this video, you can see it on-screen at 0:09, which is right after I pressed the main menu play button). Once you've opened up the Inventory, select the circular icon at the left side of the GUI; it should display all the Auras you have purchased from the shop or earned from completing the Towers. You can hover over it to see its name and description and then you can click on it to equip it.

It's an early access game that released within the past week which doesn't have much content yet. I presume they want to make sure that there's enough content in the game before allowing all of the Roblox platform to play it (or else some players might play it, complete all 4 towers that are currently in the game, and never join again)

Which skip? If it was the one where you skip past the part where the character becomes smaller, I didn't know it was possible to do that at the time I completed my speedrun.
