    Great demonstration. I have been flying with the RCN1 controller since launch of the A2s 1.5 years ago. I have been flying with the DJI RC for 2 solid weeks now and I also notice that the signal is overall better with much less break ups. Range is better as well but I do not really fly beyond 2500 ft. I did not expect any difference in signal quality, so that was a great surprise. I am using a cheap antiglare screen protector for Amazon and it works well. The quality of my image and brightness are not as good as my Samsung S21 ultra phone but I do thing the DJI RC is worth it for the convenience and quality.

    Very nice review. Very well done and very informative. You’ve gained a subscriber and yes I do plan on getting the RC. Also, you’re so right regarding the exorbitant price of the RC Pro. It’s nice but not that nice.

    I love this controller. I can see it clearly on a sunny day with polarized sun glasses. I can have the drone unpacked, unfolded, and have both the drone and controller booted up with the drone in the air hovering in 48 seconds. Even taking my time under normal use, the setup time is a very nice change of pace. And lastly, the weight. It's noticeably lighter.

    Great review, thank you! 🙂👍I've just purcased this fantastic drone, and I will most definitely upgrade it with the dji rc. As I've bought the dji care refresh package with the drone, I will just have to make sure that unbinding the rc 1 does not void the coverage of this.

    Great video - many thanks. I’ve just ordered the new RC and can’t wait to receive it. I was using an iPhone 8 and it’s been frustrating the heck outta me with it’s small screen. Just a question - do you connect the controller to your phone when you’re using it or do you find this unnecessary?

      Welcome to the channel….you are gonna love using the new RC. I have not found it necessary to connect the RC to my phone. As long as you download the map of the area you are flying you should be good to go. And obviously update your firmware before heading out. Thanks for that. I hesitantly bought one a month ago. I didn’t expect much as I was using an iPad Mini which worked well. But so far I have been pleased. The ergonomics are good and the extra buttons are a plus. Range seems to be comparable to the RCN 1, but I’ll know more after more flying. Unfortunate the map is crap. Doesn’t even show my house which has been here for 30 years, and locates me in the wrong place relative to the road ! The satellite image, which I use a lot, is useless…a green blur. Overall I am glad to have bought it and shall use it as my primary controller with the Air 2 S. I also have a Mini 2 so I still get to use the RCN 1.

      @ghost1917  Рік тому

      Because the RC doesn’t have cell service it needs to cache the maps before flying or you need to use your phone as a hotspot while flying. To cache maps before flying connect your RC to wifi then open the map and zoom in as far as you can and pan around where your going to fly. This will cache the map and allow for detailed view while flying. Alternatively you can use your phone as a hot spot and the maps will be live as your flying…..hope this helps ….: )

    Great comparrison. I got the Smart Controller with my Air 2S flymore combo. I thought about getting the DJI RC but the only difference UI can see in favor of the DJI RC is O3 over OccuSync 2.0. Im not sure that is a big enough reason. The Smart Controller is brighter than the DJI RC by 300 nits so there is never an issue seeing the screen. If there are other differences between the DJI RC and the Smart Controller I'd be interested to know what they are so I can make a decision on upgrading or not.

      Welcome to the channel and thanks for the detailed comments. I have access to a smart controller so I’ll be doing a comparison between the two controllers. I would venture a guess that the Occusync 3.0 is more stable than the 2.0 but I will confirm that with some testing….: ) As far as screen brightness, yes smart controller def brighter but I haven’t found the 700 nit screen on the RC controller to be an issue even in direct sunlight. I’ll post a short video once I’ve completed testing…

      Everyone should own at least 1 Corvette!!!! The new one is a hoot to drive. And the new Z06 is amazing but overpriced. New superchargers out for the current C8 will probably be a bit quicker than the Z06.

      @@RobertMacCready I'm a Phantom 4 Pro owner who just ordered my Air2S last night, with DJI RC N1. Also ordered the DJI RC separately. I'm a real estate photographer and mostly use the DJI app, but I occasionally use Litchi for the waypoints. I hope it will not be too much trouble to switch the pairing back to the N1 when I need to use Litchi. I can't imagine DJI ever supporting Litchi on their controller. The liability issues alone would keep them from considering it.

    As I had already bought the RC Pro to get over the crappy idea of using the phone* as a screen, the new RC compatibility is all meaningless to me. I do not intend to take a step *backwards* 🙄
    * Using my Galaxy A12 the finger-print sensor 'on' switch lies *right* underneath the clamp that secures the phone. Design to fail!
