Redux should've really kept the last scene, the others were kind of fluff but the cage scene is something the film needed, the more interactions of Kurtz and Willard you have the deeper their relationship becomes and the more meaningful and brutal is the end
Reveals how close this movie was to being a disaster. The editing decisions were perfect.
Brando was totally Mesmerising as Kurtz..Incredible Acting !

The production set was in the Philippines and set as Cambodia and Vietnam good thing that it was edited out knowing that some scenes you can hear extras speaking Tagalog..

Dennis Hopper was excellent in Apocalypse Now aswell as Marlon Brando , Martin Sheen, Harrison Ford.
Hopper was off his face on Drugs during filming..Yet incredible Acting !
Where I cand find these scenes? I mean, is there a dvd or blu ray edition with these ones as extras?
I believe this is on all the Blu rays as well as the newer 4K release

The Final Cut should have ditched the whole French Plantation Scene to make way for the footage here featuring Colby, more of Kurtz and the murder of the photographer. Great deleted scenes.
Does anyone know that Scott Glenn from Silence of the Lambs who played Jack Crawford was also in Apocalypse Now too

@@angloaust1575 French missionaries. The Montagnards were Catholics, and mostly allies to the French colonial government, since they saw (rightly) that in independent Vietnam their rights would be diminished.

Colonel Kurtz is speaking to be honest with you just like Charlie Manson.And that's the truth !You don't judge the Colonel and you don't judge Charlie Manson.. for they are both are brother!! And wherever this dialogue came from "why are you so afraid of what you see here is it because you see something in yourself that you didn't know was there "?? "MY GOD THE GENIUS OF THAT"...Charlie Manson said "when you can admit that what you see in me is in you then you'll be free ...I'm just a 🪞 mirror...and colonel Kurtz was captain Willard's reflection ...as we all are each other's reflection ...
