Yesterday was the anniversary of the Ascension of Shoghi Effendi Nov 4.. The Guardian of the Baha'i Faith.. I watched it few times , beautiful piece..Thank you so much
Thank you for this empowering and inspiring reminder about his example of being in this world but not being of it. It humbles me to no end to hear what is expected of us; the believers.
WOW, I've been around a long time as a Baha'i, but I never knew what was presented in this video. Thank you very much for presentation. At the feast of Qudrat, 2015, I will share this video.
That place at 2:28 it is called Hotel Belalp near Brig, Switzerland. I have been there many times and have many unforgettable memories there. Didn't know that Shogi was there too. ;-) Amazing how big that glacier once was compared with it's current size.
Humans has a lot of similarities that we can relate to another. The look of Shoghi Effendi as a boy reminds me of the face of Santo Nino (The Holy Child, Jesus) which was given by Magellan as a gift to the native tribes of Cebu island in the early 16th century upon their conversion to Christianity, in the Philippines.
Leroy Ioas's recollection of the Guardian's grief in Switzerland and how later he told Ioas "...I fought with myself until I conquered myself and turned myself over to God and then I was the Guardian."
Hmmm saw something about a priceless pearl, and mormons have a pearl at great cost or something like that, i wonder did Joseph Smith have contact with these people ?
Hi, "priceless pearl" is a title with which Shoghi Effendi was symbolically referred to in the Will and Testament of 'Abdu'l-Bahá, a title which Shoghi Effendi's wife, Ruhiyyih Rabbání, also used as the title of her biographical book about his life (The Priceless Pearl) after his passing. That book was used as one of the sources for the content in this video.
@@JamesHerbertsVideos mormons don't use the bible, they use the book Joseph Smith wrote, the book of mormon, its very convoluted if you ask me, and so is his whole story. They have a belief that GOD is a man who lives on the planet kolob and has a wife and jesus and satan are brothers, and one night at the dinner table they had an argument in which GOD took jesus's side and that pissed off satan and you can figure the rest...
Rochan MAVADDAT - Yes, thank you, the presentation was made for a Bahá'í audience, with whom the Bahá'í "holy family" generally did not use their family surnames, however, should I ever endeavour to produce a version with a more complete documentation of the life of Shoghi Effendi I would probably include this, as you have pointed out that it is missing.
Dear James, Thank you for your kind response. Indeed we can no longer have documents or videos only for a "Bahá'í audience". Everything we publish or post is likely to be read or seen by everyone. We must make them understandable by all. We must also avoid purely Baha'i expressions such as "Blessed Beauty," and avoid using the Baha'i "Jargon". I would like to have your Email-address. Warm Regards.
Beautifully done! Thank you for producing this video.

Very, very moving. How wondrous the Guardian was.
I like to hear the musical accent of Leroy Ioas, the way the words elide together.
Thank you for this empowering and inspiring reminder about his example of being in this world but not being of it. It humbles me to no end to hear what is expected of us; the believers.

...the Mormon usage is apparently derived from a short parable in the Bible. 'Abdu'l-Bahá would also have been aware of the parable.

U like to also, put it into alphabetic language
Is it true that Shoghi Effendi was closeted gay?
I dont know
Utter garbage. Shoghi Effendi never stated it in his writings and it's not in The Priceless Pearl. Pay no attention to rumors like this.
His real name is : "Shoghi RABBANI", or "Shoghi Effendi RABBANI".
"Effendi" is only an ottoman surname.
