Great review Anthony. You get a lot of car for the $$. I really like the design but I'm with you in that Kia should have made this a hatch. It just makes cars so much more practical and accessible . I do wish that manufacturers would stick with the same model names instead of having new ones lol! It's hard to keep up 😁 I've seen a lot of damage up in North Carolina and I really hope everyone is able to recover from the storm. We got up to 109 here but it's still cooling into the 50s at night which is awesome. I got to stay in and soak up the AC but will be out and about tomorrow. How are things on your side today? I hope that the water keeps subsided there and that all is well. Happy Monday Anthony
Thank you James. The k4 is awesome but the hatchback is stilled missed. I agree the nameplate changing is too much, it also helps add depreciation to the old models so if someone is looking for a Forte now is the time lol. I know it’s sad the storm did a lot of damage. I pray for everyone’s safety and hope recovery goes smooth. That is hot weather we got up to 101.4 and Isa said wow that’s hot dad lol. Keep inside and enjoy as much as you can, that type of temp is too hot to enjoy. Happy Monday James
Gotta say I gotta the Kia k4 almost day it came out. I was looking at the K5 but didn't wanna spend 30k. Was walking around and spotting the morning haze edition and fell in love. She handles great and gives me the features I was looking for. As well as the miles per gallon difference that my Nissan frontier was giving. 10 outta 10 love it. Plus the settings let you change almost anything you want to.
You didn't happen to get it from Dickson City/Blakely Kia? Me and my buddy were looking at these today and noticed they had a random frontier in the lot haha
Currently driving one of these as a rental in Florida. I have a truck and 3rd row SUV at home. This car isn't bad and has plenty of room, considering the class it's in. If I was in the market for a car like this, I would think about it, but maybe with the turbo engine.
Remember people use to laugh at people who owned a Kia this was back back in the day lol but man Kia have been dropping nothing but dope lines up for decades now
I test drove the LXS yesterday with a friend. As the passenger, I was impressed. Very impressed. When we approached the car it had lights on the front door handles! On a compact car! Everything inside the card was nice! The AC setup was interesting but one could get used to it.
It looks really cool and it a great deal but the engine is just.. no. Only 147hp and 132lbft in 2024? Cars 12 years ago had more power.. not to mention the dreaded cvt
@@HawkeyeRidesthose horsepowers numbers are more than adequate and my 2020 Corolla LE has even less horsepower than the numbers he posted and on the highway it’s more than adequate and adaptive cruise control is your best friend in that case
Like I stated it’s a great eco friendly vehicle. It’s not a race car but more power in the vehicle would be better. I’m sure you wouldn’t turn down more power with these mpg 👍
I’ve got a ‘24 Forte gt and glad of it. The looks of the K4 apparently are polarizing with some people singing the praises of the design and others describing it as hideous. It’s just meh to me and not nearly a good looking as the Forte. Also, they detuned the 1.6L turbo from 201 to 190 hp and replaces the 7 speed DCT with an 8 speed auto. Great review.
i love my new k4. just rode it home today. only thing i dont like? the insane closeness of the steering wheel to my body. and i cant go too back with the seat since im 5'4 LOL
I don't see the GT trims on the Kia site. Are they coming in the future? How did you find out about them? The back of this car looks like it was added on.
Why they put big plastic on the back of frontseat , lots of cars do this, don't know why, can't just be all same materials? Why putting plastics for the back of the front seat...
I feel my corolla fits more cargo than the majority of sub compact suvs. Sure the numbers are larger for the suv, but a car has so much more usable space in my opinion. I hate to have to stack everything and play Tetris. So much more usable floor space in a car
Great review! I'm in the minority here i'm sure, but i do not like the design at all..Front end, rear end, c-pillar area, two spoke steering wheel 🤮Technology and features are great though. Definitely a lot for the money.
@@HawkeyeRides It reminded me of Pontiac Firebird Trans AM's back cutoff... i love that car.. buy hey, we living' in newer times and if aerodynamics should play an essential role, then keep that in the rear, too, not only the front.
Call me old fashioned but I absolutely loathe those L shaped rear lights and headlights, offcenter kia logo on steering wheel and the half hatch look. Internals look to be better designed with a bigger flask holder though. Gotta try not to total my 22 Cerato/Forte which also has tons of rear leg room.
