    Oh, boy. Where to start…
We’re finally reaching the point in the series where lore is becoming solidified.
Most Nintendo IPs at this point in the 90s and onward were building up on how to events unfold, how characters came to be in the first place, and how the worlds surrounding them were building, and that was at a time when nobody expected these series to have such deep history.
A Link to the Past was the first time in the Zelda series to have a constructed buildup, Link’s Awakening was the first to be given a narrative-driven adventure, and Ocarina of Time and onwards, the lore becomes solidified… at least until Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom went so far out of their way to “retcon” the lore that divided fans, both old and new.
Now to be fair, when Ocarina of Time came, there was a divide between fans about lore, but the scale of it wasn’t as massive as what we’re seeing today.
And what’s also ironic that 1998 was the year when both Ocarina of Time and Metal Gear Solid came out as arguably the #1 critically acclaimed games in their respective platforms. Nintendo was desperate to make sure Ocarina of Time comes out on top, and it did as “the most critically game of all time”. Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of Metal Gear Solid (rather its Twin Snakes remake… no pitchforks nor torches please), but Ocarina of Time is my overall favorite game ever, and between it and its competitors, they definitely stood the test of time, especially their respective lore.
Since we’re in the topic of the timeline, there was this confusing statement that Shigeru Miyamoto made about the timeline placements for the series thus far, which I’ll let you cover it with Ocarina of Time. The record is still there and the writing’s on the “outdated” wall. It revolves around his statement about ALTTP as “last” while LA seemed to have no place at all. That had people scratching their heads then.

"Why not Zelda or X or X"
The game heavily implies that Zelda DOES appear as a memory in Link's dream. She's Marin. She has a different name, but Link recognizes Marin as being similar in appearance to Zelda.
Syrup is never named in Link's Awakening. Therefore, she could easily fit the same dynamic--she's based on Link's memories.
Now, IDK if you plan to include the Oracle games in the timeline here, but that also makes a LOT of these characters make sense, too. Many of them have a variant character who appeared in the Oracle games, including Tarin (Talon), Marin (Malon obviously, though again, she also resembles Zelda to Link), Henkeeper (Ingo from the Oracles), Mr. Wright (he's also in the Oracles), etc. Even the Great Moblin appears in both the Oracle Games and in Link's Awakening.

Not to mention that the older artwork of the Seashell Sword looks like the Master Sword, just with slightly different details. Loving the series!

Will the Oracle games be covered?

Sorry to be pedantic, but Bow Wow, aka chainchomp, existed in Mario before he was in LoZ. Their first appearance was in Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES. According to the Super Mario Wiki, they WERE first conceived for the LoZ series, but they weren't used, so the Mario team took the concept art and made it an enemy in their series.

Don't be sorry! You're totally right. I'll correct myself in my next video. Thank you!

@ - Lol, it's no worry. The 7-year-old in me just had PTSD flashbacks to level 2-5 in that game and was like, "...no... ...they were here before..."

I was just editing my own Link’s Awakening timeline video, and I saw this pop up on my notifications! You did a really good job with this episode, and I can’t wait to see future episodes! Also, are you planning on looking at spin-off Zelda games and media at some point to see if they could fit on the timeline?

WOW! Thank you!. Im a fan of your timeline videos so I'm looking forward to seeing your take. I am planning on doing spinoffs at some point, but that's probably a later project.

Wasn’t Super Mario 3 made before A Link to the P though?
