Linum Vitae (Latin) is the hardest wood. We use it for prop shaft bearings on commercial salmon trollers. This wood's oil content makes it self lubricating as a shaft bearing. We use machine tools to make such a bearing. The wood bearing produces a sound more amenable to salmon than conventional modern bearings.
Very nice. But a little unfair to the sandal wood, since the grain was in different direction. Also, I would love to see how Multiplex would perform against natural wood. Its real fun watching your videos. Keep up the good work
The tally for what was tested here. 1,292 - African Ebony 1,087 - Ebony Wood 911 - Iron Wood 768 - Oak 589 - Birch 531 - Veravud 418 - Sandalwood 280 - Pine
There's another wood called: "Petrified Wood" the hardest wood in the world... but it's protected by Federal law these days. It's in Arizona aka "The Painted Dessert." 💥🤣

Salmon? You mean a salmon tree? What is that? Yes these woods are incredible. Nature's composite material. Incredible.

I love theses tests, thank you.
Greetings from Brazil
Bhaii mein ap ke video use kar sakta hu??
Only way to get a fair test is to have all the samples fully rift sawn. Cool test anyway
Being this wood is so hard I would suspect a very stringy wood like elm would beat everything at resistance to breaking.
Something like morning wood?
please, try bamboo :)
Lignum vitae is the strongest wood. Used as a prop bearing. I used to be a naval architect and test thes same woods. Lignum is the best
What about bois d' arc/Osage orange?
Wowww strong wood
You should test kashmiri deodar tree...
Ya brimij, most durable
Pls try Panzerholz. Ok, its not just wood but a composit but you get the point.
pity the video didn't show the results as a group for comparison.
Can you include Izeltaş brand Turkish made products? I am sure it will be successful in terms of price performance.
The way the sandalwood was cut was super weak. Great cut for looking good, horrible for strength, in any wood.
The ebony wood is good
Bamboo?
How about this for a challenge, try pulling apart 2 phone books together page by page 😉
Mythbusters did it!
The interesting part of the vid starts at 3:20.

I'd like to see teak
😲😲😲😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Nice breaking of the types of wood 🪵 loved it.
Was that English oak? English Oak is stronger than most other oaks in the world due to climate. Church doors are made with it over here
2 Thumbs up!!!
Ничего понять невозможно нет перевода
No Lignum vitae and the real stuff from Indonesia not the argentine Lignum Vitae.
