I wish they rebuild the church and fix the graves. Respect the dead. Lots of history is at that church.
Please fix the grave yard. It should be a place family goes to visit their loved ones and feels their ancestors 💘😊🙏Flowers for the deceased🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🙏A sunflower for the church🌻

My father was born the following year. We still need to put those missing jigsaw missing pieces back together. Many of those slaves died horrible deaths at the hands of those plantation settlers and are still in need of a resting place of their spirits. Most churches built by slaves were the chief cornerstone for murdering slaves.

I would love to know where my ancestors are buried in Manchester, I'm wondering if there are any records kept of whose buried and where.

I lived in Comforthall and use to drive past that church all the time even at night we thought it was haunted for real.

It is not a public cemetery has nothing to with government agency. The Anglican is responsible for it. People who have their family buried there should clean their loves ones graves. Can't want the government to do everything, keeping the surrounding clean is everyone duty.

Believe this or not. My father blew a tire on road leading to church. We were leaving balaclava coming up through the bush to the mile gully and the car stopping by the left hand turn coming towards mile gully > iron gate > new green to Mandeville. This was in the 90s, not much light or cars on the road like now. I was a child and were returning from a family visit in Shiloah, St. Elizabeth. It was night, the car blew a tire and would not start. Mind you, this is the 90s, cars weren't as reliable as now and tires weren't the best. I remember all of what we saw that night. The air could've been described as a thick soupy humidity and it felt like there was a presence watching us peering into all of our senses, it was so obvious that something was strange. In the church, there were several pairs of glowing orbs of light, some amber yellow, some blood red but they were very clear to see. These orbs of light shifted around inside the church building and kept within sight. The car took about an hour to fix. My mother, a Christian, distracted our curious young minds with stories of fireflies outside, these were no light bugs, and not to look at them. They were huge and moved purposefully. As soon as we drove off it became cold night again, the usual climate anywhere close to Mandeville especially back in the 90s. I doubt that car even had AC

@@EXPLORINGJAMAICAOFFICIAL yeah man, it was odd. Funnily, to this day I don’t believe in duppy/ghost, there must be a logical explanation to things we don’t yet understand. I’ve seen and heard things that don’t mek sense but hey, everyone born different, some people never have those experiences in their lifetime.

It's a sound structure built by slaves and should be referbish and to service the local community. It's no different from any other old, run down, delapidated building in extensive need of repair. All the old graves should be seen to by the graves excavation department to prepare the inner and outer sorrowing for safety of the public and preservation.
