Great memories of driving through Furka Pass last year same time in September. Wife and I visit to our friends in Valendas that afternoon and came across Super Car Owner's Circle auto rally in Andermatt on our way over Oberalp Pass. Always love this road)) Beautiful drive!!
Some of those edges of the road by precipitous drops could really do with some Armco ... Nice Mercedes 190SL 28:27. And an E-type 38:25. And oh, very nice, that's a Maserati I think following it 38:26, isn't it. Whew, that Mini was shifting going downhill 38:30!
We’ve been there on September last year and I still don’t have words to describe the beauty of these roads! I believe Switzerland is the most beautiful country in the world when it comes to drive on mountain roads 😍
I see a piece of the old railway line is still in place now replaced by a base tunnel. I rode the Glacier Express from Zermatt to St Moritz in 1967 on this old stretch of railway.
When my dad and I did Furka on our Grand Tour in the summer of 1980 the Rhone Glacier was level with Hotel Belvedere. A massive wall of ice blocking the valley, easily visible from the road. And today you don't see it at all 😥 Also, the road at the top of Klausen Pass passed through 2.5-metre tall snowdrifts in June.
I see the garage/filling station used in Goldfinger is now the site of an entry to a quarry. Pity the glacier can not be seen from the road, the scouring of the rocks (now white) shows the extent it once was.
The glacier used to be so beautiful how it went all the way down to the valley, however nowadays you can still walk to the glacier and even walk inside of it which is amazing
Great video!! I'm leaving from Milan to Switzerland in few days. My pick would be lucenene, Interlaken, lauterbrunnen, Murren including Jungfraujoch . I was thinking to include a scenic drive the only thing is I'm not use to drive in mountains and my car is mini. 😬 Would you have any suggestions on my itinerary??? Going and come back in different road to Milan. Thank you.
Beautiful ride, but please, how do I slow down the speed of the videos?? It almost makes me dizzy at times and I don't have enough time to see everything!! Thank you!
Greetings from Afghanistan. I would like to do road trip like this in my country with caravan but unfortunate roads are not as good and scenery not as green. Also suffer from IED’s. On my last trip the caravan was blown up. But apart from that and did I mention snipers, it would be interesting trip and I hope one day to invite people from all over world after I have set up my travel agency in Helmand Provence.
@@7ze3travels hey i know its over 2 years you answered this question but do you put the go pro on top of your car or what? Do have a picture of it or something. I would be reay glad for your help. Regards
Superb filming. One day I hope to drive down all the way from India to Switzerland, in the latest Tesla ...... first let me make that kind of money ! Best wishes from India ! ====== Matts'
@Transalpiero Valdostano one of the roads here was so narrow at one point, driver had to pull over to let others by. Maybe not official one way but very tight pass😬
It's nice 👌 to not have to listen to someone's droning commentary or their appalling choice in music 🎶, but just enjoy the view out the windshield as though in the 🚗.
the furka pass is a lot like the borgo pass.....i kept expecting to see Dracula's castle around the next curve.....switzerland looks like an awful place to live....drive 6 inches to the right of your lane and its a 300 foot drop down to the rocks below
I'm curious do they impose speed restrictions there much like in US or is it like Autobahn in GM? Because I don't see any HP cops hiding behind the corners or bushes somewhere on your road trip. I like to drive those roadways someday. On my bucket list. Btw, on such a narrow mountain pass, they shouldn't allow trucks & buses to pass through there. That's like an accident waiting to happen!
Elmer Frejoles there are speed restrictions here. 80 km/h outside of built up areas and 50 km/h in town. The Furka Pass has a limit as to the with of vehicles. It is limited to 2.3 m. Of course there are always foreign coach drivers not spending money on street maps or GPS indicating those types of restrictions....
@@hanspetertrefalt1451 so cops there are hiding then, much like in US highways and they chase you down if you're caught speeding! I could see why some drivers like the autobanh in GM, where there's no speed restrictions, limited only to your car's capability and driver. I also heard lesser collisions/accidents than speed restricted highways.
Bery excelent driving video. Love it 👍 What camera are did u use? I also make some driving video in Bali. Pls checkt it out. But ofc not as good as your 😁
Awesome! The mountains, the terrain, the clouds....and one cool bus driver.
CAN'T STOP WATCHING THESE VIDEOS!!! I'M ADDICTED TO THEM...THANKS FOR THE RIDE AGAIN...
I watch this with the Goldfinger soundtrack playing at the same time. It's awesome! Thanks for the video.
You are a brave driver! You must be used to these passes.. beautiful!

Yes, the DFB runs heritage steam stock on the old rail line in summer.

Thanks for the ride-along. I know this road well by motorcycle, but don't have time to sightsee as I'm focused on the road and traffic.
I don't find any traffic there.
Beautiful photography
These mountain roads are better than the highways in my country :X

Can you imagine Hannibal and his elephants crossing these Alps. And no paved roads then.
Allthough he most likely didn't take this route its still hard to imagine

I wondered about that, too. Germany is differently organized.

Are these mountain passes open in April? Pls advise.

Why does everybody drive in such a hurry over there?
AY Evans Agreed! I changed the speed on Yt to 75% 😎😁
This is beautiful but some of those passes are petrifying, not only that but some of them are one-ways

I plan to go to swiss in April , can i go this pass , is it close?
Unfortunately usually its closed till mid-May, even till June.

👍👍👍
The Ruffiner Reisen bus is such a jerk for not stopping to allow the cars behind it to overtake!
🏆🏆🏆🙏
It is ironically similar to Afghanistan's Salang pass.
Why are all the swiss roads so narrow?
Lindo, porém, estrada perigosa, com curvas e abismos.
이 영상하고는 반대방향으로 내려왔는데 길이 좁고 가드레일이 없습니다. 영상에서 보듯이 나무로 된 말뚝이 전부...옆으로는 낭떠러지가 보이고..

If you go faster than the speed limit you have to pay A LOT and can end up loosing the licence
