There are far fewer women in trading than men. And a lot of women who are trading are coming from financial and economic fields, so they have an adequate education, unlike men who have a much more diverse background. So a general comparison based only on gender is not exactly appropriate.
Statistical conclusions require way more data points to justify the +0.4 claim of the said Fidelity 'study' that might remotely say something statistically meaningful about the deep investor behaviours no matter they are female, male or transgender etc. This is also valid for fund managers and their measured success, as their tenure in managing their funds is not long enough to generate even 1σ let alone 2σ (>95%) confidence level statistical certainty, which could be considered a reasonable conclusion whether it is purely their skills or some other factors also contributed to the succesful results (economical climate and opportunities in the era they lived in, availability of information or the lack thereof, or pure luck you name it). While we haven't seen a Petra Lynch from Fidelity yet, there was a Peter Lynch who turned the 18M in the Fidelity Magellan fund to a staggering 14B in his 13 years tenure in the exact institution you mentioned, does not mean that we won't see a women fund manager as successful as he was or more. However even Peter Lynch as being a very sharp person knew that his streak might not continue as it did in the preceding 13 years, and left at the peak, which made him the legend he was. There were others who were as 'successful' for years and years but not as much after a certain point etc etc. So for Cathie Woods let us see the 13 year mark and then let us say something about her 'success' (not enough data points yet). I am sure as you would also concur so, Cathie's risk appetite seems way higher than one of the best fund managers of all time, the Peter Lynch's, as if she is "Tha Man!" in this comparison. This is to say, even the claim "man are evolutionarily high risk-high reward oriented" is true, this might not necessarily exhibit itself in the claimed conclusions in a chaotic and inefficient market. I really genuinely liked and subscribed to your channel in a heartbeat after I bumped into your video where you opened my eyes on snake oil sellers on YT and I understand that your motivations are pure in this last video. And please but please don't take me wrong, but let us not feed this PC wokeness agenda ,which is predominantly emanating from the rise of victimhood culture that gradually started rewarding mediocrity and poisoning the meritocracy. Even I read that UA started a so-called "diversification program quota" for the pilots they would hire in the future, which seems like a bad PR and probably was done just for the sake of commercially benefitting the zeitgeist by joining the PC wokeness bandwagon, where many would possibly prefer the best scoring pilot flying the plane with the highest merit no matter that pilot is a she/he/ze/them, black, white, or purple, when they are flying 550mph at 35000 feet in a thin metallic tube with wings. In my opinion, whereas trying to grab a good market share by tapping into a non-saturated female investor niche, would be a good business decision for Fidelity, but their PR scented 'study' smells no different than the products of snake oil sellers you exposed recently #brightpeoplegetitdone

I think the percentage between the genders are too small to say one gender is more successful. If the number of women traders would be closer to 30% in ratio to the men, then maybe the data can be more accurate. I believe women are more careful with money since they are also more likely to be a mother with limited income.
